The real Naruto? Which one is it to you? The
Fanart Naruto or the one that we see on the manga/anime? -going to use pictures to prove my point. Sorry if they irritate you.-
Welp, I'm here to tell 'ya about how much the fan system has
corrupted our Naruto. -don't get me wrong either, I like Naruto
but this fan thing is really starting to get underneath my skin.-
It all started when a girl e-mailed me to ask me if I was a SasuNaru fan, -I guess she could tell by my icon or something- I said yes, and I asked her does she, then she went into a whole rant on how Naruto is a drooling puppy dog with huge adorable eyes ready for his seme to take him over.
Hold the phone right there. Now let's sort out the difference between FanArt Naruto and Real Naruto.
This is the Naruto we all know and somehow love in our own different ways. Cute right?
Now here's the fanart of him. This is the type of picture that makes most people go "Awww! He's so adorable!" When I see it I think on more of the lines of. "What manga or anime are they watching and why? Because this isn't the Naruto on the show..well..Naruto.
I understand, people from the SasuNaru fandom who prefer Uke!Naruto will do that to rub it in a NaruSasu fan's face and go. "SEE!? Naruto is a uke! Just look at this picture!" -don't get me wrong on this either, I am a SasuNaru fan.- Naruto has his uke-ish tendancies, like these picture.
This is how fanart shows him and tries to prove thier point that he's a uke.
Yes, we all quite get that Naruto is quite girly looking, even so much that he made a girl look away and blush. -in the 4th movie.-
But what most fanart/fan thingies, tend to leave out is Naruto's personallity. People just usually think. "Naruto's face is so cute as Sasuke totally takes complete advantage of him as he's just sitting there blushing extremely hard and what not.- Wrong! Most of us like Naruto because of his attitude. Fan stuff tend to leave out that he's not just girly looking, but he's got an attitude that says "Yeah, I'm bad a**, and yes that is your car that I just set on fire. But I'd also just love to be your friend."
But don't get me wrong -again- some of the fanart, do draw him as he actually his.
I don't mind people drawing him the way they want to draw him, but the thin line between people actually realizing who the real Naruto is and who the fanfiction/art Naruto is, is really starting to disappear.
Some people think Naruto isn't attractive at all, which means that they completly don't like him at all. But the way the anime sometimes draws him makes you wonder why they even decided to air that.
But all in all, let me just sum this up, he's just the same old Naruto that we know and love, and that fanart can mean that that's the Naruto that you identify as the real one, or you just like it for the picture, but you know who he is. Or it's just the Naruto that you want to accept into what ever fandom you tend to lean more towards~
Whatever you prefer he's still our Naruto!

I do know what you mean.
The whole super-rabid-fangirl that goes 'Omg, Naru-chan is just soooooooooooo cute and adorable and Sasu-kun is so big, bad and strong' is annoying as hell. I tend to ignore them.
People let the fanart and expecially the fanfiction go to their head.
I, myself, am a SasuNaru fan. Period. I do not like NaruSasu. And I don't see myelf ever liking it honestly.
But that doesn't mean that I am a fan of super-uke-Naruto either. He has to have his boyish personalility. I mean, if we change his behavior too much, is it really even SasukexNaruto being paired together?
Or just characters with their name?
[I love the real pictures of Naruto that you got, by the way. Expecially the one from the 4th movie. I kept rewinding it just to see that over and over!XD Have to admitt that he has some uke-ish tendencies that make me smile.]

Super-ke Naruto makes me highly uncomfortable.
AKA I can't stand him that way.
I like canon-personality Naruto. I like canon Sasuke as well. WHILE THIS MAKES SASUNARU/NARUSASU HIGHLY IMPLAUSIBLE... arrgh. I can stand some deviation from the way they actually act and speak, but I can only take so much of that before I break.
=_= But super-uke Naruto makes me want to like... chase people down with a chainsaw and take their fingers off one by one. He's not that kind of guy, sorry. ;D

I personally can't stand SupperCuteHappyTimeNaruto!. I like him cannon wise, and love it when arist draw him accordingly. Why most people prefer cute!Naruto over cannon!Naruto I'll never know. It seems to me that they're in denial and won't except the original. I personally think the cannon!Naruto is hotter better looking than most,strike that, all Cute!Naruto pictures I've seen.

I like my Naruto basically as he is in the manga/anime- cute, loud, strong, and a little dumb; however, I generally like seeing him as the uke too. For instance, I want to see Sasuke in control and Naruto blushing/ a little nervous. Frankly, I think that's how the anime would have it anyway (Sasuke just seems more sure of himself), but seeing Naruto in a cutesy bear costume (or anything in the ball park of that) is eye-gouging worthy. smile

in general, i'm pretty open minded.
when it comes down to art, as in doujinshi...
i don't mind seeing Naruto as the way he is in the manga or even in the artist's own way.
but yes, it's amusing for me to see him more girly looking.

Honestly, the uke-est I can stand him, is like... consenting to being topped after putting up a major major fight. Because that's how he would act. Assuming he was actually a homo, he wouldn't go down -hurhur- without a fight. A big fight. In fact, he'd probably be hitting whoever was topping him (Sasuke of course) WHILE he was getting topped!
It'd be the same with Sasuke, honestly. I see it as, whoever's fighting better that day gets to top the other. XD If Naruto's got more strength and such, Sasuke's goin' down. It could just as easily be vice-versa.

How does he go from a drooling killer half racoon to a blushing cute ukeish drool killer half racoon?

I have to agree a bit with Kalio here, Uke!Naruto does seem OOC for Naruto (if not the whole paring, but you get the picture). But in a fight for bieng top...well I could say it could go either way... It's not so much as 'who do we like best as a seme' anymore. It's wit vs wit, so again it could go either way. Now if it were up to me.... let's just say Sasuke would have some trouble walking afterwards ;D Uke!Gaara? Is that remotely possible? xD

the naruto to me is the annoying one. (i don't like him in the anime/manga...only when he is that Kyuubin...haha 8D ) even tho i like the ones in fanfics/art, but it's not the real naruto to me...even tho i like him much more -_- ...gah! i'm starting to change my opinion!

I think the real Naruto,
referring of the one created by Masashi Kishimoto,
would probably be one of the straightest guys out of the anime. I think he would still turn out to be OOC even if you slap a seme or uke label on him. fanfiction/art will and can of course turn out OOC because it's fan-work, create by fans, they can do what they want to do but it's not accurate unless confirm by the creator Kishimoto. XD
As long as the fanart/fiction is cute I'm all up for it<3 XD
