Okay, we all know they're out there, so now I want to know: What are the most overused plot-lines? Those same, cliche stories that seem to recycle themselves over and over...never dying...on the bookshelves. You may love them, you may love to hate them. Whatever the case, feel free to put 'em here.

I like to call it....

The Poke-mon syndrom (Also known as the Dragon Ball syndrom)
Harry Potter just went into that phase....
You know, when everybody starts running around yelling "Gotta catch 'em all!!!"
I think every series has done it at least once, and there are so many books like that its rediculess.

A whilrwind romance, that is all hunky-dory, and then the female catches the male snogging some one else, or...something.

Oh, oh, and I hate it when something that is fantasy, or Sci-fi, turns into fluff and romance.

Hard core battle scene are mushed up with sob stories of your friends dying. I don't fall for that crap.

The two dimension-crossed lovers who save one dimension and fall desperately in love and then discover that they can't (or don't want to) stay in a dimension that isn't their's so they go home and "they all live happily ever after." I am so sick of those stories, can't anyone come up with anything new? Oh! Great example: I happen to start watching Fushigi Yugi on the day they air the last episode. I can tell the two main characters are desperately in love, but if she (uhh...Miaka?) stays in his (name--no idea) world, then his world will be destroyed, and vice-versa, so she goes home, and is happy. Yeah, they must have REALLY been in love...(that last part was sarcasm, just in case you missed it)

Or those time-traveller stories.

If I ever get warped back to some time by crawling into a cave or something, I'm not going to ever leave it, because I know I'll fall in love with some one, who I'm going to end up leaving anyways, and then find...like...his gravestone or something in my uncle's sister's aunt's private cemetery.

I'm done. o.o;

Anything with zombies, ninjas, angels, demons or vampires. We're going to have to either become creative or... as is my solution... mix 'n' match. Hooray zombie ninja vampire demons!

Or of course ninja pirates xd . Only the originals of the plotlines that people now consider bad are good. Like Dracula, His Dark Materials or Interview With the Vampire. Unless they have anything new to say then they're horrible 3nodding

I think that there is always something new to say, but it should always be fresh and not to corny, unless your going for corny.
