2. Aerene and Shadows After Dawn are my moderators. They will assist you when I am either absent or not quite present.
3. Please be semi-lit/literate. I am not asking you to write me a story every time you post. At least a paragraph (3-5 sentences) would be nice, though. Despite what I tell you later, I want all profile PMs titled "Tearing up the Skies." Also, please make sure that the person you are roleplaying with has something to post off of, since it helps ease writers' block (which we all suffer from once in a while).
4. You know the basics: No Mary-Sues/Gary-Stus, no godmoding or auto-hitting, none of *this* or -that-. Honestly, if I have to explain any of that, you don't belong here.
5. Follow the Gaia ToS, of course. Romance, while not a key plot point, is allowed. However, don't take it past make-out, and no cybering. I cannot stress this enough. Not even in PMs. If I have good reason to suspect you of cybering via PMs, I will report you.
6. As far as cursing is concerned, I am not extremely bothered, but others may be. Don't go overboard. Use it to stay in-character, and try to avoid it in OOC.
7. Send all profiles to me, titled "Baby's Got Her Gun Out." Also, include the pirate emote anywhere you want. If you do not set up the PM as I have asked, I will give you one more chance to read the rules before I reject it.
8. Make sure all OOC is clearly separate from the post. (()), (), [], you know the drill.
9. I am not going to ask for an RP sample; your profile should show your skills. Therefore, I insist that you make it good. Triple check it if you have to--read it out loud. However, if it is later shown that your actual skills don't live up to your profile, I will kick you out.
10. Please be active. If you plan to be gone for more than a week, please let me, Aerene, or Shadows After Dawn know. If you do not post at least once within a two-week period, and I don't have a reason why, your profile(s) will be taken down.
11. I reserve the following rights: to kick you out if you break the rules; to kick you out without telling you why (but I will not kick you out for no reason); to change the rules at any given time.

The year is 3030AD. A new sport has taken the world by storm, known as Skyboarding. Despite having been introduced almost twenty years ago, it is as popular as ever. Some of the world's best boarders dwell in Zenith City, located in a southern area of what used to be known as the state of New Jersey. While the sport itself is perfectly legal, many of the teenagers involved seem to have a penchant for illegal activity, often causing them to run from the police and/or get arrested. The city's two gangs, made up solely of Skyboarders, get the most joy out of making life a living hell for the authorities and each other.
At the end of the school year, however, an argument between a small number of gang members resulted in one gang doing something they would never do--entering a competition. The gang leaders met, and the stakes were set: if Infidelity lose, they will give up the middle school. If the Vice Lords lose, Infidelity claims the abandoned warehouse. With one month until the expo, both gangs are picking out their most talented boarders to shut their rivals down.

"Hello, hello, hello! Welcome to your favorite pirate radio station, Zenith Underground! I'm your host, DJ JD, but you already knew that! (And if you didn't, what the hell is wrong with you?) Ahaha!
It is a wonderful day in the dirty underbelly of Zenith City, and it's also the first day of Summer Vacation 3030! Yes, that's right! No teachers for three whole months! Of course, the cops are on special alert, so keep your eyes out, kiddies.
It looks like there is one month until the annual Zenith City Skyboarding Expo, meaning the Vice Lords are probably PMSing right about now and--Oh! I almost forgot! It seems this year Infidelity will finally turn up... This should be fun...
So while the nubs of this city are out getting a tan, make sure you don't do anything I wouldn't do. And take a midol for ******** sake.

The high school students of Zenith City can be divided into two basic groups: skyboarders, and non-skyboarders (though the boarders supply an array of colorful names for this group.
Within the skyboarders exist two gangs, known as Infidelity and the Vice Lords. Despite both gangs being extremely similar, they have some key differences, and are at constant war over territory and members. However, they both share one common enemy, the authorities.
The Infidels, as they call themselves, are mostly street boarders. While there is little order within the gang, members achieve seniority based on how long they have been boarding. One must have been skyboarding for at least a year before even thinking about joining Infidelity. The acting leaders of this gang are the three most experienced members. Infidelity tends to hang around the north and east parts of the city, and while few take much notice, they tend to get arrested more often than the Vice Lords.
The Vice Lords are all about competitive boarding. To join, one must have an official ranking (be it within the city, country, or world). Members of similar rankings tend to go to competitions together. Along with their hatred of the police, and rivalry with Infidelity, the Vice Lords face quite a large amount of rivalry within their own gang; whoever has the highest rank in the city (and as an extention, country and world) is the leader, while the next four are assistant leaders (there tend to be more male leaders than female). All members are required to attend at least one competition a year, though this is easy as there is an annual competition held just outside of Zenith. The Vice Lords control the southern and western parts of the city.
