This thread is basically a place where you can post any writings, stories, poetry, or anything of that sort here. It would be prefered that it's related to the guild in some way.
Comments are allowed of course, just let us know which one you're refering to.
Please be sure to include a title, and you can include any comments too such as what inspired you, who it relates to in the guild, if it has to do with an event, or whatever. Preferably, use this template here, that would be nice to include to make things easier for posting something. Author: ShadowOfIce (lyrics author: The Corrs) Title: No good for me. Summery: When the students of Mahora have all graduated and begun their college life, everyone seems happy and their lives and promising futures. Everyone that is... except for two students who watch there lives slowly begin to crumble. Characters: Satomi, Driviline, Sosuke, Ichiro. / Minor Role from Xenon. Anything else to be said: The lyrics from the song are listed in bold, it was an inspiration to writing this. Also, I should warn that it has a sexual referance or two.))
In the mysterious and magical city of Mahora, reasonably far from the Main Street and town circle was the living district.. it was quiet, and you could always hear the birds chirping in the morning...
I see a home in a quiet place
Satomi smiled up at him, nuzzling her face against his shoulder. She felt so carefree, the smile lingering as she watched their child run giggling by them, laughing a little herself as he hugged her close...
I see myself in a strong embrace
She'd never felt safer than when she was with him. She remembered how, when they were younger, how even when she felt alone or was driven to the edge, he was always there for her. He always made her feel happy and safe
I feel protection from the human race
God, her life had become so perfect since Driviline had given her that ring. Her husband was the best thing that had ever happened to her.
It's not parental.
Satomi sighed as she opened her eyes, shaking her head as she reached for her glasses. It was time for work.
But it's a fantasy, not a reality
"Satomi-san, are you all right?” Xenon’s voice spoke as Satomi was heading for the door. Her voice was no longer as monotone as everyone had remember, now that Satomi was in college, and even smarter than before, she had been able to practically master the android’s systems. In fact, by this time, she was nearly... human.
With a sad kind of smile, Satomi turned, nodding once. "Yes, Xenon-san. Thank you, but I’ll be fine. I have to go to class now, you can meet me in the lab later if you would like."
The day went on, and Satomi hadn’t said a word through out her college classes. Soon enough, she was in her lab when she finished, and Satomi sighed as she sat down into her seat before the large pile of research papers. She was always worrying everyone with her current depressive state...
And it's no, no, no good for me
She shook her head as she began to type on the computer. Driviline probably didn't have a clue how she felt about him -- he'd never really made any moves on her. But she still couldn't get over him.
You have no idea
Suddenly, the door opened, and the scientist turned automatically. "Hmm? Who is... ...it?" Her eyes went wide and she blushed deeply. Driviline had come here again... he always visited her.
"Hi, Sat-chan. How're you?"
Oh, he was painfully casual! Looking at the floor so that the light from the fluorescent over-head lamps reflected on her glasses and hid her deep brown eyes, she was unable to look him right in the eye when she got like this. "I... I'm fine. How a-about you, Hana-kun?"
He gave her one of those stunning smiles and shrugged lightly, his thumbs in his belt loops. "Pretty good, can't complain. Hey, Sat-chan... You know, you're a close friend of mine, and I wanted to ask you something."
Her brown eyes widened, glistening in the white light as she assumed what he was about to say. Did he care for her...?!
That I'm walking through the clouds When you're looking at me
She quivered, lower lip trembling so uncontrollably that she could barely stop it without biting down. She felt like back when they were young... "Hey, Sat-chan! You know, when High school ends and we go to college, you should live with me!"
"Eeeeh?! Huh? Really, Hana-kun?"
"Yes! You're my best friend, Sat-chan!"
The blush on her cheeks only deepened. She felt so weak, vulnerable, and young...
I'm feeling like a child Vulnerability
"Y.. yes, Hana-san?" He was still so casual, smiling oh so handsomely as he stepped closer, standing beside her, mere inches away. She couldn't stop trembling, hands shaking like one diseased.
Her mind was clouded; she could think of nothing and no one else.
I am shaking like a leaf when you move beside me And you're all that I see
"Ichiro-chan and I are getting married! Will you come to my wedding?!"
But it's no good for me
Satomi couldn't help thinking that she should have known. He went with Ichiro on the school prom, he spent a lot of his off time with her, Heck, he'd even asked Satomi for advice on what to give Ichiro for her birthday... Thinking about it, Ichiro’s personality was much more suited to Driviline tastes. She was outgoing, fun-loving, and open... Ichiro knew who she was and what she wanted, she was better than Satomi in almost every way when it came to being with people and making them happy. She could make Driviline happy in ways Satomi never could. All Satomi knew was that she was in love with Driviline.
But it still made her cry, thinking that Ichiro was there, in that spot Satomi had always dreamt of.
You have a home In a quiet place And someone else feels your strong embrace
She could just see it.
Driviline holding Ichiro’s hand, Driviline pressing Ichiro close to him, Driviline kissing Ichiro, Driviline making love to Ichiro, Ichiro having Driviline’s babies, Driviline protecting Ichiro...
Satomi folded her arms on the desk and sobbed.
She is protected and she needs no chase
"Sat-chan, I think I... I think I love you."
"Huuuh?! Dr-Driviline-kun, you're teasing me…!"
"N-No, I'm not! You're my very best friend, Sat-chan, and I think I’m falling in love with you."
Tears fell harder as she remembered those words he said on their last year of high school.
And do you love her?
A shuddering sigh .. no, Satomi, you're smarter than this. You're not the type to just start crying..! ..Satomi, don't be a big baby. There are other men.
Well, she supposed that was true .. but who, really ? Akari and Kaito were madly in love with each other. Negi; although older now and quite a handsome young man, he was now gone, having returned to Whales in search for the Thousand Master. Yuuji was too reckless for her taste. Hades had meant nothing to her. Sosuke was unmoving in his devotion to Ichiro. Even Jin secretly longed for Nodoka. And of course… Driviline was marrying Ichiro....
She suddenly blinked. Sosuke... Sosuke would be so hurt by this. She quietly got up, locking the door to the lab as she left, sauntering away in the direction of the apartment he lived in, it wasn’t all that far from where she lived, actually.
Sure enough, Sosuke was there, sitting down out front on the stoop, looking silently down with his head practically in his arms, his face filled with an expression that reflected shock and pain beyond anything but Satomi’s own. A small step was taken towards him, tongue sliding over her lips before they stuttered his name. "S.. Sosuke.."
"..Yes, Sat-chan, I heard."
Sosuke closed his eyes once more, thoughts of Ichiro running through his brain. Through the years, Satomi and Sosuke had drifted apart a bit, becoming just friends, nothing more, nothing less. And from the shadows, Sosuke began to develop an undying crush for Ichiro from the moment he first laid eyes on her. They soon became friends, and it became clear that if either of them took the step to ask one another out, the two of them would have been a happy couple. But Sosuke never had the courage, and Ichiro was happy just being friends.
"Sosuke-kun! Why are you crying?! I was looking all over for you!"
"...Eh..? Oh... it's you.. go away, Ichiro-chan. "
"Huuuh?! What did I ever do to you, Sosuke-kun!?"
"You like Driviline-san better! He's your best friend, not me! I heard you tell him so!"
" Ugh! Sosuke-kun, don't be empty headed..."
He could still remember when they were just two friends, happy and satisfied about never having to worry about what was ahead in the future, or anything about the past. They just lived in the moment, the two of them were happy that way.
"Driviline-kun is a good friend.. a best friend. But you're my favorite, Sosuke-kun. Only you."
‘Ichiro .. when did you stop loving me?’, He thought. ‘I can't understand you at all...’
You're a mystery You are the heart of intrigue But you're no good, no, no good for me
Three weeks later, Sosuke and Satomi found themselves at their lovers' weddings, out of sheer respect and devotion, and a will not to disappoint them. They looked on at Driviline and Ichiro, each longing only for that one person.. Eyes both closed in something of a wince as they could hear the words, "You may kiss the bride."
Driviline’s lips met Ichiro’s, and Satomi wanted to scream, wanted to sob.. she felt like every atom of her being was being ripped one by one from her, like she was slowly being demolished. ...If only she was stronger, if only she was the one there, and not Ichiro.
Anything was better than this pain...
Ichiro blushed, and her lips responded fully to her new husband's. Sosuke’s teeth sank into his lower lip to stop its trembling, hands balled into such tight fists that his trimmed fingernails dug into his palms and drew blood, while his other, mechanical hand gave a slight creek under the sheer pressure of being squeezed so tightly. Oh, but that pain was pleasure in comparison to what he felt to see another man standing there .. holding his Ichiro. Kissing his Ichiro. Ichiro, what happened to us?
As the two walked down the aisle, they spared a glance, and perhaps a smiling wave for those two good friends of theirs who had always been to them so devoted...
Satomi wanted to tear her eyes out, just to make it stop. Even though Driviline was standing there with his arm wrapped securely, protectively around his new wife's waist, even though his mouth was smudged with Ichiro’s wine-colored lipstick ... even though she knew he would never, never be hers, she still felt like she was floating and none of this was really happening when he looked at her.
You have no idea That I'm walking through the clouds When you're looking at me
Sosuke could see nothing in this Ichiro except for his old, beloved Ichiro-chan.. that young girl back in High school who had held him and told him he was her only one, the girl who had loved him and wanted to protect him and be protected by him. They'd had an understanding, hadn't they? They'd understood that they would be together, hadn't they?
I'm feeling like a child Vulnerability I am shaking like a leaf if you move beside me
Couldn't Driviline see?! Couldn't Ichiro see?! Satomi had eyes only for him.. no one else in the room cared at all for her, nor she for them. Sosuke had eyes only for her.. no one else in the room cared at all for him, nor he for them. Why did they marry each other? Couldn't everything have been so much simpler if they'd stuck to what they'd decided when they were teenagers? Satomi had clung to that fantasy, that dream of she and her childhood lover being together for nearly seven years now, and Sosuke had been holding onto it for just as long... Couldn't it just be the way it was supposed to?
And you're all that I see But it's no good for me No, it's no good for me... Yeah, no good for me...
Three years later, Satomi smiled sadly down at her daughter; Sakura, shaking her head as she ran a motherly hand through her daughter’s red hair that she had gottin from her father... She and Sosuke had married. What else were they to do? Both were eternally shattered souls, they'd never love again...
She remembered the way Driviline and Ichiro had looked at them when they heard the news. Neither ever suspected them to be interested in each other; but they'd been so happy when they saw what a pleasant marriage the two had.
What they didn't see was at night, when Sosuke and Satomi crawled into bed, closed their eyes, and did what married couples did .. there was no way they heard how Sosuke cried out Ichiro's name, and how Satomi pleasured herself by pretending it was Driviline penetrating her.
They were both pretending.... They used a fantasy to make themselves experience a false happiness...
It's a make-believe, you have no idea
The two moved into a small, but humble home, still living in the city of Mahora. Xenon was there with them, and Satomi had even built a male modeled android for her to be happy with. It was funny really... Xenon’s programmed and artificial happiness seemed even more real then the one that Sosuke and Satomi were always faking.
Every now and then, Ichiro would come to see how her old high school/college friends were doing. Sometimes she brought the children -- Ichiro and Driviline were the proud parents of three -- to play with little Sakura. The two love birds remained in Mahora as well, Driviline actually worked for the Dean and became the proud new owner to Library Island, and Ichiro opened her own cosplay shop by the Mahora strip mall that was incredibly successful; it was amazing she hadn’t made it into a franchise yet.
But no matter the details.... even after three years of being married to Satomi, and three years of suffering, knowing that Ichiro would definitely never, ever be his, Sosuke’s heart still skipped a beat whenever he saw her...
"Sosuke-kun, you know what..? I think I'm in love with you "
"WHAAAAT?! I-Ichiro-chan!! Don't joke like that!!"
"I'm not joking ! Sosuke-kun, when we graduate, let’s move in together"
"... ...You talk like you know you'll love me forever."
He was stung by the memory of her radiant smile. "Only because I do."
Ichiro.. really.. where did we go wrong?
That I'm walking through the clouds When you're looking at me I'm feeling like a child Vulnerability I am shaking like a leaf if you move close to me And you're all that I see But it's no good for me, just no good, no good
While Sosuke was perfectly content to sit and lust for the one he'd never have, Satomi had been quiet lately... and now that their daughter; Sakura, was starting preschool, and Sosuke was working with his own job, she was free to do whatever she wanted. Lately, she had stopped her research, she had no longer seemed dedicated to science. It was like she no longer had any more interest in the things that once made her happy. But Sosuke never noticed it...
One day, she decided to wander up to the top of the World Tree... there she would be able to reflect on her life. She could see the beautiful sky and clouds around her, she could hear the sounds of the birds that nested here, she could smell the soft scent of the cherry blossoms, she could practically feel the radiating warmth from the mysterious tree as she climbed to the top of it.
When she got there, Satomi could only look down blankly off the tallest branch, emotion completely void from her face... and walked off.
Through the clouds When you're looking at me
"Driviline-kun.. you know .. sometimes it hurts a lot, to be all alone."
"Does it, Satomi-chan....?"
"Yes.... I sometimes it hurts so much... ... I want to die."
I'm feeling like a child Vulnerability
She looked around as she fell .. she could see everything from where she was falling. All of Mahora and its beauty. She could even see Driviline sitting outside Library Island, her knees grew weak even now to see him. She could see him turn his head .. she swore she could see his eyes grow wide, wider than ever before when his met hers. Do you understand now, Driviline ..?
I am shaking like a leaf if you move close to me And you're all that I see
That day, at three-twenty PM, Satomi’s life was ended with a sickening splat as she hit the ground at the base of The World Tree.
But it's no good for me.

Title: No good for me. Comment: Oh my god! I love this! I started crying, when Satomi died. Sosuke likes Ichiro, Satomi likes Drivline...etc. It's a Love Square! But, anyway...you did a very good job on this. Very well done. I cried almost through the whole thing. I such a little girl...xD

Title: No good for me
~Oh my God! Not Satomi! crying Very emotional, moving, and tastefully done...though the reference to Sosuke and Satomi doing 'things' kind of made me blush redface ! Oh, Akari and Kaito got a mention as well! Didn't expect that! If Satomi ever considers jumping off the World Tree, instead she can always share Kaito with Akari! She's pretty open to the idea of a ménage à trois! It was neat how all of this takes place after they graduate and you mention Satomi and Sosuke having a child. Nicely done! Satomi will find a true love...and so will Sosuke!

Title: No good for me
Damn.
I know I already told you this, but this is one of the best pieces of writing I've ever read. I just re-read it again so I could post this comment, but.
Wow. Just Wow.
I'd like to come up with something more impressively worded, but I'm actually at a total loss for words.
Good job =)
That is all.

Author: Chachamaru V2 Title: Betrayl.xmf Summary: Xenon's history before she headed to Mahora Characters Xenon Anything else to be said: Heh... Shadow, you've left me one tough act to follow, but I'll do my best. Okay, so, I was thinking about Xenon's past, and thought that it needs a bit more actual padding. Sure, I know what happened to her, but the rest of you - not so much. Of course, I wouldn't want to reveal too much - gotta have some mystery, eh? I guarantee that you will have at least one question by the end of this. Yes, there are intentionally omitted pieces of information. That's what makes life fun. I just hope you enjoy reading it ^^
-----
20th December, 2006
The sound of fingers hammering on a keyboard had filled the apartment for the greater part of two weeks. He had been laboriously working away on the coding, and had just finished finalizing the launch settings, ensuring that they would be compatible with the configuration he had used for the hardware.
He had been looking forward for this for months. He'd already readied the body months ahead of time, and all that had remained was to actually get the 'heart' and connect it all up. Thanks to his many connections and a called in favour or two, he was able to actually obtain his Wii a day early.
Now, the final preparations were complete. The body was completed, everything was connected up, and the final pieces of coding had fallen into place. She was all but complete. Soft, realistic skin, silky white hair - almost entirely indistinguishable from a human, save the ear blades. All that was needed now was a codeword. A designation for the unit. A name.
"Xenon"
Saving the final changes to the software, he smiled to himself as he reached beside the deactivated android body, picking up a small rod. Flicking a switch on the side, an audible hum of energy could be heard, as he plunged it into the robot's chest.
Cold, blue eyes shot open in surprise as the girl sat up, her battery charged instantly by the sudden burst of electricity. For two whole seconds, she stared blankly ahead, running all of the essential startup programs for the first time. The final subroutine was extracted and successfully installed, and the girl smiled an empty smile that would cross her face a thousand times over.
"Hello, sir. My name is Xenon. What is your name?"
Smiling to himself, the man stood up, and helped his creation up to her feet. She was totally naked - just in case he'd needed to take her apart and perform additional work on her - so he walked over to a pile of already prepared clothing, helping her to dress, smiling to himself. As he finished up by fastening her boots, he smiled at her, taking the robot girl's hand.
"Hello, Xenon. My name is Tadayoshi Kunrei." Still smiling, he reached onto a small table behind him, and picked up a white, rectangular object that the girl immediately found herself somewhat drawn to. About fifteen centimetres along, and about three and a half centimetres wide, it had several buttons on it - most noticeably a translucent button marked with the letter 'A'. Holding the object out towards the girl, the man smiled. "Would you like to play a game with me?"
From that single night of Wii Sports followed what would be called by anyone as a wonderful friendship - had Xenon actually been capable of feeling actual 'friendship'. Tadayoshi treated Xenon with the respect that he felt she deserved, sometimes even opting to spend time with her rather than go out with some of his other, human friends. Xenon, in return, was the ideal mate. Never questioning Tadayoshi's orders, knowing that he would never wish to harm her, Xenon did her best to satisfy any needs that he could have, safe in the knowledge that her good deeds wouldn't go unrewarded - even though she felt that she was doing what she should be, and didn't even deserve a reward. On one occasion, Tadayoshi even spent the entire payment for a custom-built PC he'd made for a client on a pile of Playstation 3 games, just so that Xenon could have the pleasure of destroying them with a sledgehammer.
Occasionally, he'd even joke to his friends about marrying the robot; and some of his friends were convinced he was simply saying it to gauge a public reaction before going ahead with it. However, Xenon didn't mind what Tadayoshi did with her - as long as it didn't harm her. She was just happy to serve her master, playing games and performing basic chores when needed.
Those were the days.
24th June, 2007
Xenon had been sent out on an errand to collect a package from the local game store. The package turned out to be a box wrapped in white wrapping paper, tied up with what he called 'Xenon blue' ribbon. 'Xenon blue', of course, was the cool blue colour of Xenon's eyes and the lights in her ear blades, with a note attached.
'Xenon,
I had this made especially for you. Please keep it with you always, and think of me when you use it.
-Tadayoshi'
Unwrapping the package revealed a shiny new white DS lite - they'd only been out a month or so, and were still incredibly difficult to get hold of. However, this wasn't a normal DS lite. There was a 'Xenon blue' stripe going down it - on the right-hand side. The stylus was white, but if were to look very closely, her name had been carefully painted onto the stylus with rather fancy-looking writing, in 'Xenon blue'. Console mods were not cheap at the best of times - and this must easily have cost the same as another actual DS lite.
Tadayoshi really did spoil her - she was a robot; surely he knew more important people to buy such expensive items for? Regardless, there was no way that Xenon could simply accept the gift without giving something in return. Taking a look around the store, she saw it - the perfect gift. Sitting in the corner, barely noticeable, was the final copy of the new Zelda game on DS - Phantom Hourglass. She had thought that it would be impossible to get a copy of it - everyone was after a copy. Picking it up, and purchasing it, she smiled to herself. She knew he would be pleased with this - he had every Zelda game in the series, and even multiple copies of some of them.
As she opened the door to the apartment, she could think of nothing that could make the day any better. Not only had her operator given her a gift - and a very expensive, one-of-a-kind one at that - but she had also been able to purchase him a gift in return - which was, to her at least, a very good thing. However, something didn't sound quite right as she opened the door. There were sounds of gameplay that she didn't recognize. Tadayoshi had apparently been out shopping while she was out on her errand. Holding the game behind her back, she slowly walked into the main room, about to surprise him with the present for him.
As Xenon stepped into the room, her entire world came crashing down around her.
Giant robots that she'd never seen before were fighting in mass combat on the screen. Tadayoshi was sitting in his usual gaming chair, playing away. Ordinarily, this wouldn't have bothered Xenon at all - had she not seen what he was using.
Tadayoshi was holding a Playstation 3 controller.
Sitting beneath the TV, where a dusty old Gamecube had been sitting only this morning, was a black, shiny box. Even though the name was hidden, Xenon could tell immediately that it was one of them.
Her mouth dropped open a little in shock as she watch her operator playing with it. Everything over the past 6 months suddenly seemed meaningless. He didn’t care about her - why should he? She was only a robot constructed around a gimmicky console. Without even thinking about what she was doing, she dropped the box housing the new Zelda game, and turned, running to her room.
Whether this was a virus, or a subroutine command she wasn’t aware of, she didn’t know - and she didn’t care. She began to do something that she’d never done before. She began to cry. Xenon had never thought it was even possible for her to cry - lacking the vital glands to produce tears and the emotions to cause a depressive state. Yet, here she was, in her room, crying - with what she could only assume to be real tears.
‘How could he do this to me? Was I not a good android? Does he not like my games? Super Smash Brothers Brawl will be coming out next year; surely he must want to play that? But he didn’t even have the GameCube out... he wasn't even playing Super Smash Brothers Melee...’ She shook her head. This didn’t make sense! She was clearly superior to that jumped-up little George Foreman Grill! Why couldn't he see that?!
...And yet, she wasn’t angry. She couldn’t, no matter how hard she tried, bring herself to hate him - nor the console. It was the first time ever she’d seen one of ‘them’ and not wished to destroy it. The reasoning behind this was simple. It was making him happy. As long as he was happy, that was all that Xenon could wish for - and clearly, she was no longer needed in this task.
Gather all of her belongings - which wasn’t anything more than a small rucksack full - she paused for a moment, contemplating whether or not this was a good idea. Hundreds and thousands of variables and conditional factors ran through her head as she wrote out a note, in perfectly neat handwriting.
Mr. Kunrei,
The past six months have been an experience far surpassing any expectations. You have treated me with respect that was not necessary, prioritising me above all others, and for that, you have the full extent of any genuine gratitude that I am able to generate. However, I see that I am no longer needed to make you happy. I hope you and your new console are happy together.
Xenon.
Still crying as she left the note in the exact middle of her pillow, she pulled her backpack on, and walked over to the window. Opening it up, she jumped out of the window, into the rain. Landing on her feet, not even staggering from the fall. As she began the lonely trek to nowhere, she compiled all of the files and data about Tadayoshi into a single XMF - Xenon Memory File - which she then sent to a hidden folder. Finally, she password-protected and then deleted all knowledge of him, the folder, and the password from her memory. The only way she’d know about the folder existing at all, along with Tadayoshi, would be to explicitly search for it - and she had no reason to ever search for such a thing anymore.
With literally no purpose in her life anymore, Xenon would soon find her way to Mahora Academy, where she would enroll, and eventually find herself another operator. Even though nobody could ever quite replace Tadayoshi, she no longer minded - after all, she no longer even knew of him. The only single reminder she would ever have of him would be her DS - and she would never know that it was him that gave her it.
That night, Tadayoshi Kunrei had cried himself to sleep.

Title: Betrayl.xmf I thought this was a very interesting read. It's not often you read something that has actual real life game references and all that. But that aside, I like how it started off so light hearted, and in an instant the whole mood of the story changed. I enjoyed reading it a lot, and it really helped flesh out Xenon's character. 3nodding

Author: FoxGin Title: Happy Birthday, Hades. Summary: The background story of how Hades's first slave was destined to stay as his slave forever. Characters Hades, Hiji Anything else to be said: Well...No chance of this beating Shadow's or Cha v2's stories, but it's still something that will reveal...crap...about Hiji. Yeah...and Hades's story will eventually be made. So keep an eye open. ;3 Go short stories!!
~~~~~~~~~
You see, Hijimaru is more than a sword. You'll see why. About three years ago when Hades was still back in Transylvania, Hades was finally becoming a decent teenager. The big...Thirteen. Of course by then, his parents were already dead. But that's a different story. By this time, Hades craved for more blood, and as a present to himself for his birthday...he wanted his first slave. But he knew that looking for a slave in his area wouldn't be easy since many other vampires had already taken them. There was only one place where he knew slaves were just wanting to be picked right out of the blue. With a little hypnotism to some airport staff, Hades was on his way to Japan.
When he arrived there, he wasn't so picky on his slave. All he wanted was a clueless, cute girl who was possibly older than him. Not picky at all...Hah. And lucky him. Hades walked down the streets of a cold night and when he was searching, he had found one special female alone. Just like any other girl to walk alone in a cold night like that, Hades came up to her, seduced her, and sunk his fangs into her neck. She fell unconscious and so Hades had to take her back to where he was. And where did he live? He found a snazzy little place not too far from that street. That wasn't important though. He achieved his goal in taking his first slave. He couldn't have been more happy. When Hades brought the girl back to his place, he set her down on his bed. No, nothing like that happened. Hades just took his time examining his new slave. It was a big moment for him. After finding facts about this one female, he found out that she was around sixteen. Three years older than he was. Her name was also Hiji. A cute name. She had no talent or anything, but Hades was determined to fix that. After they both got through the “Where am I? Who are you? Why is my body moving to your every command?”, Hiji had finally grew fond of Hades. She wasn’t just a slave to Hades…She was his first friend.
On one simple night, after the year went by, Hades had a little war going on with some gangs in Japan. He wanted them all dead for just messing with him. He was dealing with two gangs, actually. His plan, have Hiji take care of the weaker gang while Hades took care of the stronger one. Hades had no problem taking care of the gang he was supposed to take down…but Hiji made the simple mistake to accidentally let two of the gang members escape. Once Hades found out, he was not happy at all. Not happy one bit. He was pissed at his slave. Later that night, the two had a large argument about it. Hades snapped and the way he planned on solving this…Was to seal Hiji into his sword. Back then, he used a plain, old, steel sword; nothing special about it at all. But he was so pissed that in order to seal her in there, he had to kill her. Which he had no problem with at all… Finally sticking his sword into her heart, she gasped. A tear rolled down her cheek, and that was when Hades realized what he did. It was too late. She was dead…Her body was. And so was her mind. But not her soul. Before Hiji’s soul could move on, Hades quickly twisted his sword that was in her body, triggering a sudden bright flash to appear.
Then by the end of it, he realized his sword was much different. The steel was now an unbreakable metal, Orichalcum, and now the effects of the sword were much different. He could control the power blasts and abilities of it. To remember his first slave, Hiji…he had to name his sword something that would remind him of her. And so that’s how Hijimaru was born. One thing though, Hades is able to summon Hiji from his own sword, but it requires ¾ of his energy to do so. Meaning that if he were to do this, Hiji would be out for awhile. And if she were to be summoned, she wouldn’t be herself. Her regular mind was killed long ago, so she would just be a blank, empty hearted person, listening and following whatever Hades says. Hades has never tested this summoning before.
Author: Haruna Saotome of 2A Title: Lost Memories Summary: The past Raine doesn't remember. Starting with her mother, going to her father, and ending with her. Characters Raine (Written in several points of view, from her father, mother, and herself) Anything else to be said: Well, I doubt it's as good as Shadow's or Chacha's, but I thought it would be something interesting to post.
Raine, age 1 My child, Raine, is growing beautifully. I’m worried, though. I knew from the start her father was a vampire, and he always made sure I was safe. But now... he’s acting strangely towards Raine and I. He’s left every night, which is normal, I suppose. But he gets this look in his eye before he leaves, like he’s angry. He barely even looks at his child. I constantly wonder and fear that something is wrong with him, our child, or both of them. Maybe it’s just me. My child takes after her father more. She has his hair. And his eyes. She has my ears, though. I know there is some elf in her. I have some claim to her. Her father could not take her from me.
Raine, age 2 What I said before was a lie. Her father took Raine away from me. But I’m almost happy he did. The child wasn’t normal. She would have these extremely scary days, where her eyes would glow red. I daren’t approach her on those days. She acted as a wild animal, it seems, and snapped at my hands when I tried to hold her. I would have to call for her father before she would settle down enough for me to be able to pick her up. I expect it has something to do with her vampire side. It’s extremely scary and unnerving, though. She’s gone, though. That much is a relief. But so is my husband. I am alone, now. Without anyone to help me. And so, I leave my last words in this journal, although I rarely wrote in it. I love you both, Raine and Riku. This is the end for me.
2 years later...
Raine, age 4 I took my child from my wife two years ago. I later received news that she jumped off the cliff just outside her house. I was grief-stricken. I took Raine away to keep her safe. To do that, I had to get away myself. And because of that, she was killed anyway. Raine is now four, and is gaining control of herself. She obviously has strong magical talent. Her vampiric attacks have lessened in the past year. She’s only had one for three months. It is a definite improvement. I can also calm her during the times she goes wild. I hope by the time she is nine she will not have the attacks any more. I may have to put a spell on her to stop them, however. That would be painful for me. I do not want to bind her in that way. I have to go now. She just covered all the lights in the house with shadow because she wanted to sleep. I’ve got to reverse it and get her settled.
Raine, age 6 Raine told me the other day she wants to grow her hair long. I’ve been having her keep it short, only to her chin, for years. I think I’ll tell her yes, though. I’d like to see what she looks like with long hair. I hope she’ll look a little more like her mother that way. Her mother had long brown hair. Raine’s hair looks more like mine. It’s odd, though, she has silver streaks running through it. I don’t know where she got them. They interest me. When she goes to sleep, I think I’ll pluck one from her head, gently, and examine it. There seems to be something odd about them.
Raine, age 7 Today... was terrible. I took Raine to see a movie, and her vampire side took over. She almost bit a man before I managed to pull her back. I took her home immediately after apologizing to the man and telling him she had a disease that made her attack random people at times. He gave me a look that said I was crazy. I ignored it and carried Raine home. I’ve never seen an attack so wild, though. One second she was walking along next to me, telling me how excited she was to be seeing the movie, and the next she was running around chasing people. The man just had the bad luck to be sitting in a chair where she could reach his neck. As I took her home, she fell asleep. She just woke up. She says she doesn’t remember anything from today. She has a look in her eyes that tells me she remembers it all and is too scared to talk about it.
Raine’s birthday. Age 9 1/2
Today has been terrible. My dad was taken from me. We were attacked on the streets. I’m all alone in this cold room, and all I have is a light. The light isn’t very good. I want my daddy. I’m scared. I don’t know what to do. I’ve got this journal from my dad, though. I took it from him this morning. I was going to read what he’s written in it. I just read everything he’s written. I don’t remember any vampire moments when I was little. I remember the one that was two years ago though. That was a scary night. I don’t ever want that to happen to me again.
Two days later...
I hear a noise above me, like footsteps. They sound like my daddy’s. I called a few times, and the footsteps stopped. Then started moving faster. I don’t know what’s going on, but I hope it’s daddy here to save me.
Five days later...
I moved with my child, Raine. We are now living in Kyoto. I’m worried about Raine, though. She hasn’t been the same since the kid napping. I think it traumatized her. I found her, though. I’m glad for that. Hopefully no one will attack us here. It should be safe. For safety, though, on Raine’s tenth birthday I’m going to erase her memory and lay her on the streets asleep. I’ll give her a note explaining the pointed ears. I’ll also tell her to be cautious, and find her way to place I’ve heard of, called Mahora Academy. I hope she will be safe there.
Raine, age 10
I woke up on the streets today, with a book and a note. It says my name is Raine Tempest. It also says I’m part elf, that’s why I have pointed ears. It says to be careful, and head towards Mahora Academy, wherever that is. I’ll find a map somewhere, I hope. It also says “Today is your birthday. Happy birthday. I am sorry I could not be here with you right now.”
Two days later...
Magic. Blood.
Raine, age 16 I made it into Mahora. I am happy for that. Whoever wrote that note was trying to help, I know it. I tore out the first message in here. I think I would prefer to carry that one around with me with the note. That way, if anyone finds this, they can’t learn everything about me.
Title: Lost Memories Ooh, I really liked how it was kept in journal form. First the mother, who died... And then then the father who took note of Raine's actions. I enjoyed the background story of Raine and I just bet more will be revealed in the RP. The mentioning of Kyoto...Now that will be interesting. Good Job, sweetie~
