What's in for fall?

I myself am going for the classic preppy look,
not the Hollister and Abercrombie lameness people claim is prep.
Pleated skirts and cardis all around!
~ heart

I could use a change of wardrobe since:
-I've lost 35 lbs. (WOO!)
-I'm moving from the South to the Northeast.
-I've decided to work for a year before college.

So, for fashion trends,
I hear purple is in.

Have you seen the Cosmo special edition style and beauty this month?

I nearly died- so many cute things are in this season!

And yes there is going to be an emphasis on plum.

Though I am bothered by one thing!

REALLY bothered.

They mentioned how nice it was that this outfit made a certain models's shoulders look strong.
It didn't say shoulder pads.
But it looked it.
And is heading for it.
I thought we said NEVER AGAIN.
But apparently we were wrong.

It will be awhile before I will be convinced of the allure of shoulder pads.

WooT!
Plum!
That means my glasses are an instant 'in' accessory!

Oh how exciting?

I wonder do you ever have trouble coordinating your glasses to all your outfits?
Or do you not even think about it?

I'm sorry but if the shoulder pads come back, I'm not jumping on that bandwagon. I'm with you on that one.

I don't know what she does, but I'm visually impaired so I NEED my Glasses. I don't really take that into account. Though they are cute glasses.

big details on dresses are in yay, makes work and photoshoots alot more fun and interesting.

Though on a personal note for me, grey flared suit trousers and grey waistcoats definitely going to be worked by me this season

and on the glasses front, dont you find if you can get 2 pairs of brilliant glasses then they work with everything.
I have my black squared ones with no bottom rims which work in the office/studio and daytime and then some similar just thinner frames for the evening and work with everything.
though i guess it must be harder for a lady?

Not at all, squabbo.
I have my plum wire frames, very angular (my face is round),
and they have this really nice openwork on the temples and on the outer rim of my lenses.
I find that they work with just about everything.
It's a metallic deep plum, but fairly neutral.
They sit well, too.
Above the cheekbones, below the eyebrows.

I don't really think about it.
Purple's been branded as my trademark,
and this is that, but understated.
And yes, I do need my glasses.
I can't see clearly ten feet in front of me...

Haha, I do have to say though.
It's a blessing I'm not visually impaired with my OCD.
I would feel terrible inclined to have a pair of glasses for every color.
So I'd have one for every outfit.

I've entertained that idea.
Frankly, I cannot afford it,
otherwise I'd be rotating between these and the three other frames I loved...

I'd love that but for my insurance policy, I get two chocies a year. One pair of glasses or contacts. Guess which one little olde' me picks. Contacts 3nodding

Oh, thank you, thank you.

I'd have replied sooner,
but I moved to Mass,
and most of my relatives out this way don't believe in technology...
