I honestly don't think that I am going to vote this year, I don't like any of the canadites. Our country isn't ready for a woman president and we aren't ready for a black president. It's a shame though... I wish for once some one who would really know how to help this country would step up, obama seemed great until he started promising things that I just don't think can be done in just one term.

I haven't really decided who I'm going to vote for. I agree with things that both McCain and Obama have said, but the biggest thing that has made me leery of Obama was something he said in a recent campaign add. He said he wants to place the U.S. back in it's place as a world leader.
stressed We have no place telling any other country what to do. We can't even sort ourselves out. We need to worry more about ourselves and less about "leading the world." Ugh...

ugh so true...I don't like the thought of America as a world leader... we have enough power as is...some of these people who want to lead our country seem more like they want to rule the world

Personally I think you got that a bit backwards. I'm expecting McCain to crash our economy. He is a Republican after all, just like Bush. He probably won't be as big of a laughingstock, but I'm willing to bet (if I had an money, that is - Thanks, Republicans!) he'll continue what Bush started. From what little I hear, Obama has plans on reducing our dependence on foreign goods (which will mean they can't completely crash us by not giving us stuff) as well as tax breaks for people who make under a certain amount annually.
It'd be nice if people who made lots of money had to pay higher taxes, too. Not sure if Obama would do that or not, though. Personally I think it's freaking stupid that people who make hundreds of thousands or even millions a year have to pay like... 4% taxes, while people who make under 20k have to pay like 40%.
This, however, does not mean I am going to vote for Obama. I got my problems with him, too. Mostly that he doesn't appear to show any form of patriotic spirit. He wants to be President of the United States of America, yet he won't place his hand over his heard for our National Anthem? Hm...
