Well My opinion on this is that it is a double edged sword there is both good and bad with it. By having high gas prices we will be more likly to share rides or take another means of transportation. the bad side is that we are spending every thing we make on gas...what really bugs me though is that car companies have the means and knowledge to make cars that can get 50-100 miles to the gallon but they don't make these cars because the oil companies would throw a fit. Personally I think that the oil companies can stand a few loses and make up for all the damage that they have done, I feel so sorry for this planet

I bet if they did make cars that had gas mileage that good, the oil companies would just raise prices even more to make up for it. Greedy jerks.

Well... America could take over Saudi Arabia or wherever the hell all the oil comes from. Then it's our oil and we don't have to pay those greedy jerks for it. Or someone could somehow become Dictator of the world. Then they could set oil prices.
