Things had been progressing slowly for Isato since he had returned from the mission that had taken him back to his birthplace of Konoha. He had always hated that village, but now it didn't bother him anywhere near as much as it once had. His dull amber eye looked out over the scenery for a few moments. He was getting tired of all of the problems that he had been facing lately. He smiled softly and then brought his hand up and traced his fingers over the side of his face that was still all him, his index finger tracing over the edge of his still original eye. He sighed softly, still unsure if he should do something to make his new sharingan look like a normal eye. He smiled softly and then shook his head slowly, bringing his hand down, sliding his fingers into his pockets again. He really didn't know what to do here. All he wanted to do was take some time off and just not do anything. All he wanted to do was enjoy a break from all of the missions that Hatari had taken him on. He hadn't had a chance, or hadn't had the inspiration to do anything on his own. It had just been a whole lot of him waiting for Hatari to drag him out on a mission. He had been doing it since Hatari had first recruited him, and he was getting a little bit tired of Hatari being the only one who he could ever count on to take him on a mission. He was just spending all of his time waiting for Hatari, and that was not the way that he would become stronger. With the way things were now he would never surpass Hatari, or any of the people who he was teamed with. He would just spend all of his time standing in the background, and eventually, even Vykin would surpass him.

Isato took a few long breaths and brought his fingers up through his hair. He wasn't all that sure what he was going to do yet. He had been musing over the idea of going on a mission that he had been told about. It wasn't even so much a mission as it was a quest, or a public service. He didn't really expect to get anything out of it. His job was to go out to a secondary ninja village that wasn't even really a ninja village. He was hoping that things would solve themselves if he went on that mission, but for some reason he was less than optimistic about that outcome. If he were to go on this mission, he was sure that things weren't going to go as he had planned.

Apparently the problem was with a villain who had seized control of the village and apparently was doing some very questionable things. He sighed softly. He knew that usually people didn't go for that kind of mission. There were too many politics involved, and usually this kind of mission wasn't even handed out a mission. That was probably why he hadn't really been given it as a mission. He had instead, overheard the person who was trying to hire some shinobi to help them. It was just a case of him being in the right place at the appropriate time. He smiled softly and then shook his head slowly. He could save the village, but probably not by himself. It was a sad case. He was pretty sure that he couldn't recruit the rest of his team for this little save the world mission. Hatari might join, just because he knew that it was something that he shouldn't do, but Hatari was famous for doing things that he knew he shouldn't do.

Isato sighed softly, the problem was that Hatari would probably be the only one interested in the mission at first. The rest of the group would of course join after Hatari told them to, because they always did, but Isato wasn't sure that he wanted to start a group like that. If he was going to take people with him, Isato was pretty certain that the people he wanted to take with him would be people who wanted to go through with the mission for their own reasons. People joining because they wanted to follow Hatari were no good for him. They would just get in the way and slow him down. He closed his eyes and took a few long breaths before looking down at his hands for a moment. That being said, he was probably the only one other than Hatari who would recognize the need for them to go on this mission, and even Hatari was only likely to go because he thought he shouldn't. That wasn't the kind of person that would help them all that much in this kind of problem.

He brought his hand up and rubbed at his eyes for a moment. He didn't like the idea of going alone. He wasn't sure what he could possibly do anywhere if he was all by himself, but what other choice was there? He sighed softly and closed his eyes for a few moments. Even if he headed to where he needed to be, he would be going alone, and he had no reason to believe that these people would even want his help. So far he hadn't done anything that was all that impressive. He was a shinobi, of course, but that didn't matter if your skills were lacking and there was little or nothing that you could do about fighting, or about people who were especially strong.

He sighed softly. The only thing he had to do really was try, and he wasn't sure why that idea bothered him so much these days. He always found himself with the job to just try, and he always found himself struggling with that idea because he didn't want to have to try. Things shouldn't have been this difficult. Things shouldn't have been like this at all. He closed his eyes again and took a long breath. What was he going to do? He could try and find the people who had been trying to make this a mission, but really...they were probably gone by now. They probably knew that they weren't going to get the help that they were looking for here, and then they had left, and were probably headed home by now. What was he supposed to do?

Isato had grown tired of sitting there waiting. He was not going to wait anymore. This village that he had heard referred to as the "Moonfang Village" needed someone's help. While it was a political situation and most people would stay away from it, it seemed like exactly the sort of thing that a loudmouth ninja with lightning blond hair and a demon sealed in his belly would do. While it disturbed Isato that he was considering doing something that Naruto would do, since he really didn't like that boy very much, it just felt like the sort of thing that was right, the sort of thing that he knew with every fiber of his being that he should do, even if everyone else told him that it was stupid and he shouldn't do it, and even if it was likely in this case that he was not going to get paid for his work well done. It was a pity that he wasn't going to get paid, but at the same time, this was something that Isato wanted to do. It was something that he knew was right. He pushed himself off and then dusted off the front of his pants. He was going to do this, even if he had to go off all by himself to an unknown place to fight a corrupt government to do it. He let out a soft sigh. It sounded so hopeless when he put it like that. He had made his decision though, and he had no plans to back down. He'd become the hero of the village of Moonfang, and then he would be able to add something to his title.

He noticeably drooped as he remembered his current title as the "number one loser, wannabe, womanizer ninja". It really wasn't a very becoming title. Maybe this mission would get rid of that title. That would be nice. He doubted that there was anything so simple in his future, but he was allowed to have hopes and dreams, just like any person. Currently his hopes and dreams, while still including finding true love, were focused a bit more on the idea of getting rid of his title, because guys with sexy titles seemed to get a bit more attention from the ladies.

He held his chin up. He wasn't going to let something as little as this get him down. He jumped off of the roof and sped through the village. He wasn't going to get caught up by something like this. He was going to catch up to those people who had needed help, and he was going to help them, whether they thought he would be any good to do it or not. He wasn't going to lose his chance to be a hero. He was going to prove that he deserved a good title, something like honorary Moonfang, or the hero of the moonfang village, or even the deadly fog. All of these seemed to be such great titles. He might even solidify his title as the angel of justice, and then Hatari would bring him around and introduce him as such all of the time. It would be perfect. All of the ladies would swarm for him when he was the hero of justice, when he was more than just some random wannabe ninja. He wasn't going to give up this chance.
