As Salaam Ualaikum. Now, I have a question to all of you in the Guild. Why are you Muslims? Did you strive the knowledge yourself, or are you just following what your parents told you? Have any of you completed the Quran? Memorized it? My name is Muhammad Shoaib [First name]. I have 7 years worth of study in Islam. I have completed the Quran, and am studying with my friend who became a hafez at the age of 13. I myself have not memorized, but I work towards that goal. I have seen the religion in works. The extremity, the weakness. I've traveled to Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, London, Egypt, Pakistan, and U.A.E. Each of these areas have their own beliefs and differences in Islam. Shiat, Sunni, Hanaphi, ect... I believe in the religion because I have gone through things like this, and have experience. Now I ask, why do you believe in Islam? Did you study? Or were you just told and are believing that.

Though since I am Ahmadhi.....the "majority" of Muslims do not believe I am Muslim and in some countries we are being persecuted. I remain a Muslim because Islam is the most perfect religion in the world and it is superior to the teachings of all other religions in the world. Meaning through the Qur'an it can be proven that all other religions are false. Subhanallah I was born a Muslim and not in any other faith. My beloved Allah listens to my prayers because I am Muslim (I have actually witnessed prayer fullfillment). I have also witnessed miracles, which have occured on me and on others around me. As a Muslim I am aware of the fact that Allah has blessed us in so many ways, and that in the world only Allah is a true friend that will remain with you forever, if you look for Him. Quote: Did you strive the knowledge yourself, or are you just following what your parents told you? I strive for knowledge myself. But, I am only 19 and still have to learn a lot. Since I was raised up in the west, of course I have different views then my parents, who were raised up in Pakistan. So, I always question there opinions. Quote: Have any of you completed the Quran? Memorized it? Yes I have completed the Qur'an more than once. But, only lately have I actually started reading the translation (I do not speak Arabic) and commentary of the Holy Qur'an. I have not memorized the Qur'an. But I read it everyday with translation, after Fajr Namaz. Quote: I have seen the religion in works. Unfortunately a minority of Muslims actually follows the complete teachings of the Holy Qur'an and follows the sunnah of the Holy Prophet (saw). Insha Allah this number will increase. Many of the followers of Ahmadiyyat have a lot of spirituality. Many have been martyred just because they are Ahmadhi (More than 100). But, these cruelties only increase us in our faith and conviction. In Ahmadiyyat you see the true spirit of faith. The tears while reading Namaz, the sacrifices for humanity (ex. , sacrifices of lives, time, wealth and honour.), the love for our brethren, the amount of time we give to our faith, the true love for gaining knowledge etc. It was an Ahmadhi who first got a Noble Award in Physics in all the Muslim sects. It was an Ahmadhi who was a top representative in the United Nations. It is Ahmadhi engineers who have built pipelines for the poor in Africa, etc. I, myself (because I am Ahmadhi) was sacrificed at birth to become a Waqf-e-Nau. Then when I was 17 I chose to reman Waqf-e-Nau. Being a Waqf-e-Nau means that after I have become established in a career I will be sent to a poor country by my Hadhur for service to humanity.

LoGa Knight Pheonixia I am Muslim because I was born a Muslim. Though since I am Ahmadhi.....the "majority" of Muslims do not believe I am Muslim and in some countries we are being persecuted. Hmm..maybe you should move in Malaysia. there are no discriminations here. ^^I don't live in a Muslim country. I live in Canada. I know people who live in Muslim countries. Meaning my brothers and sisters in faith, and most of my relatives. Quote: Quote: I remain a Muslim because Islam is the most perfect religion in the world and it is superior to the teachings of all other religions in the world. Meaning through the Qur'an it can be proven that all other religions are false. (Taadaa, meaning people from other religions cannot enter heaven)No, as I have already stated through the presentation of hadith, individuals from other faiths will also go to heaven. But, the exemption is that if these "good" people know the true colours of Islam (meaning peace) and they don't convert then they will be questioned by Allah on this, and may go to heaven. We are not their judge therefor we cannot state their fate. Only Allah can. Quote: Quote: I have not memorized the Qur'an. But I read it everyday with translation, after Fajr Namaz. Alhamdulillah. If we are to born at the times of Muhammad, I would be so grateful.Jazzakumullah. I appreciate it. No do not say you will be content to rot in hell, if you knew he pains and suffering of hell you would not say so. Because I am Ahmadhi and follow the guidance of a Khalifa, I feel like some of the blessings from the time of the Holy Prophet (saw) have descended upon our Jama'at. But, remember that during the time of the Holy Prophet (saw) there were many wars, many were martyred, and the Muslims lived in a state of almost-poverty. I imagine it would be very difficult to live in that time period. Quote: Quote: Many of the followers of Ahmadiyyat have a lot of spirituality. Most of the cruelties occur in Pakistan and Indonesia, but other countries are also showing voilent reactions. In Indonesia, our mosque's are burnt down; our people are beaten up and stoned, the Ahmadhi houses are ransacked; their business's are closed down; even relatives of Ahmadhi's who are not Ahmadhi's cut off all ties with the Ahmadhi person; etc. In Pakistan, our mosque's are destroyed; our people are sent to prison on the police's whim (eg. Being an ahmadhi if you write bismillah on a wedding invitation you will be sent to prison); we are not allowed to say or write the kalimah; people are shot at in the street; we are not allowed to celebrate happy occasions (eg. during the centenary celebrations an ordinance was passed that Ahmadhi's cannot celebrate this occassion....they cannot even pass out sweets to the kids! One man said "Good you did this, the Ahmadhi's are corrupting the people!" Our Khalifa's reply was "Yes, passing out sweets to kids is really corrupting the people!"); people are shot at in mosque's while they are praying; children are killed; sons are tortured and killed in front of their fathers and vice versa; we are not allowed to pass out our religious books; we are not allowed to preach our faith; we are even shot on the orders of the Mullahs in Ramadhan!; etc. Quote: Quote: I, myself (because I am Ahmadhi) was sacrificed at birth to become a Waqf-e-Nau. Because never has Hadhrat Muhammad (saw) said that Islam should be restricted to a certain boundary or region. He said that Islam was brought as a religion for the whole world, and the Qur'an says "Service to Humanity is a part of faith", therefor the service of ALL of Allah's creatures is the responsibility of the true followers of Islam.

I never said religious Muslims because they are in the wrong sect can't go to heaven. Religious Muslims will go to heaven.....but since they are 'religious" Muslims they should easily be able to tell the bad sects from the non-bad ones and follow the path of righteousness. And I am not saying that a sect is like 100% bad......I'm saying that the "religious" people should be able to identify the 100% good and pure sect from the huge jumble with teachings of Islam that are not limited to race, nationality, or colour etc. And the second part of your argument: That's exactly what I said: "That the non-Muslims IF they recieved the true message of Islam (which the majority hasn't by the way; they have an ugly propaganda version) and they don't convert then Allah will judge them and they may go to hell. Why am I saying "may"? Because Allah even though he said that all non-beleivers who heard the message will go to hell, is a forgiving and merciful God. And He may judge them for the better or the worse. Quote: Quote: Quote: Quote: I have not memorized the Qur'an. But I read it everyday with translation, after Fajr Namaz. Alhamdulillah. Nice question(s). I'm a Muslim because I chose to be. I'm also glad I was born in a Muslim family also. My little brothers are both huffazz, Alhumdulilah. I really love this religion. I have studied other religions, but none of them could compete to islam. There are just so many miracles and it is so logical, and also the one and only soution to Humanity. biggrin
