It's with a heavy that I have to announce my permanent retirement from Gaia Online. It has been an amazing 4+ years but ever since my banning I have lost the ability to be a positive member on this site constantly finding myself depressed while online and that's not how I roll.
I really appreciate everything that bonanza has done for me and with that I bid you a farewell.
In true Modern Genesis fashion I will be giving away all items of worth to beginners starting out on gaia.
If my account is to somehow be unbanned you may expect a post here but that would be about it. I think it's really time to let it go this time. =(
EDIT: It seems as if along with a splendid investigation format that gaia cannot enable gifting. I will have to send out items another day as I do not feel like waiting around for people to accept trades.

=( I've been feeling the same way while I'm on gaia, or I was before the event... but now that 'event buzz' is wearing off for me... i'm usualy like that when friends aren't online...
Good luck to you, mod. We're going to miss you.

I must say, that Gaia has never truly disappointed me - I've chosen to overlook the constant ads popping up around here, the blatant disrespect of users and mods alike (by both parties), among various other things... Gaia has REALLY come up short this time. You think a website that claims to value their members would take great care in bringing justice to something like this... but it just goes to show that they were pulling our leg. Even though Modern prepared a very detailed report -- that all they had to do was verify -- they did nothing of the sort.
I am finding my time on Gaia more and more frustrating as of late than enjoyable. The bonanza is the only thing keeping me sane, and even then, with gifting disabled, I am really bummed. Modern, honey, you were so wonderful. I really wish there was more we could do... or that there was a mod out there that actually gave a damn about users enough to be fair. This, is not fair.

Oh no...what happened with the investigation? Did the mods just give up?
I can't even imagine the frustration and disappointment you must feel in Gaia right now. It makes me sad reading this post. I really hate the unfairness that exists in Gaia and wish that instead of concentrating on Cash Shop updates, they would fix what is already broken (ban system, botting, etc.) I've been becoming slightly more jaded with Gaia, but the people that I have met here keep me happy here.
I really wish you wouldn't go. sad

I'm so sorry to see you go, MG, but do as you must. I find myself frustrated with Gaia at times too, but it's the people that keep me there. I at least hope that you may either find yourself to be unbanned soon and come back or have fun doing other things. It was great to know you and I hope to run into you somewhere else in cyberspace.
