I turned off the radio with a sigh. "Another depressing captain's readings..." I grumbled while standing to my feet. This had been the worst year since the time they issued the ban of videogames. We had to be kept inside during mid day for dangers of high pollution levels, and at night various villains would skulk the streets, looking for anything they could manage to capture. The planet we knew was now in the worst position it could be, while 'higher ups' still were able to add to the current problems for their vanity of wealth. In result, things would only ever get worst. And yet, some were still to naive to believe it....

"It's only depressing because you see it that way," my roommate said, "just imagin if there was another world that we could be pulled to, I mean, things may be better there."
"Well anywhere's better than here. I haven't seen my parents for two whole years, and all the board is telling me is that I'll be able to see them next year." I replied, walking toward the door of the room.
"Mythril, it's the same for everyone here. Do you think I'm not upset about it?"
"But.." I paused thinking of a good reply, "but that's them. This is me. I've been wanting to see them forever and-"
"We all have." she inturpted, "You're to self centered."
"What?" I answered back, "Maybe I'm just self centered because I feel like I'm the ONLY ONE agruing with the board to see them. All the rest of you are just standing around like cows!"
The girl sighed while shaking her head. "You really don't get it..."
"There's nothing to get. We're stuck here and only getting these half hearted replies as answers to why we havn't seen members of our family for years, and we just accept it. This isn't right!" With that I angrly opened the door and marched away into the hall. There's no way I was going to take that from her. She had to right to say things about me like that, and- - - huh? A white light appeared before me while different points in my body began to pull toward it. First my right hand, than my left knee, next my left shoulder. I tried to call for help, but my voice seemed to be swallowed up by the brillant light, and soon I was completely immerged in it.
As my anger fadded, so did the white light and seeon a whole new area began to appear. I found myself sitting in a green feild, as a warm breeze seemed to brush past me. In the far distance I could see a line of trees while a clear blue pond sat before it. To my left there seemed to be just rolling hills, and on my right a narrow dirt path lay. This wasn't earth, it couldn't be. Maybe I was just taken by...a Theasura.

I quickly spun around to face the noise. "Jin?" I replied surprised, "where am I?" Well this is weird... I thought to myself, nice, but weird.Another gust of wind blew over the field as the sun was emerging from the clouds. A few blades of grass tickled my bare forearms, before I push them away.

"Good point..." I replied a bit embarressed, "and I think it was year 2020. Though it doesn't make much difference... Ever since they took away my internet, I've been a mess." A smile crossed my face as I remember some of our conversations online. "Those were the days," I quietly added. "But back to you. Is all you've done is sit on a field?" I joked.

"Well that, and locking us up in boarding schools." I stand up and brush myself off. The sun had fallen farther into the sky, as it was coming down toward the tree line. There was something odd about the trees. They gave off a strange green glow, it was gentle but enticing. "Let's go check that out," I said while pointing toward the trees. As I said it, a strange numbing feeling began to overcome me.

"But it's so glowy..." I answered, in a daze, "how bad could it be?" I looked back to Jin, while trying to pull away my wrist from his grasp. I look back to the forest again before smiling widely and asking "Pleeeaaaaasssssseee?"

"Alright, alright," I replied disapointedly. I pursed my lips together as I tired to think of something else to do. "Well...." I began, "How about we at least check out the pond near it, huh?" I grinned while looking to Jin. I relized that I was a hassle sometimes, but this could be fun.

"Alright." I quickly slip my wrist out of his grasp and start running for the lake. "Last one there's a rotten egg!" I called back. I galloped through the tall grass that swayed left and right. My feet landed against the soft ground silently as I waved my arms about, trying to keep my balance. In the distance I could see the lake. The last rays of the day were shimmering against its still waters.
