 "BYEGILLGILLI'LLBEBACKLATERILOVEYOUBYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"
If anybody had been sleeping at NOON that day, the sound of Lucy shrieking a 'Farewell' to her assistant as she left would have woken them -plus- the cemetary a block over, her arm surprisingly remaining in tack as she waved it frantically from side to side in a 'Bye bye' way to a Baylk who couldn't even see her.
Oh his poor unfortunate soul. Well, he actually seemed pretty OK about it.
But it was the 'farewell' that mattered in this as she turn turned, pausing for a moment to giggle and suddenly unzip the front of her shoes to show off her -adorable- white toes, wiggling them a couple of times before letting out a noise of 'glee!' and practically booking it down the street, arms flung out to both sides in a way that would take out any man who walked too close to her.
Hmm... why were people avoiding her? Ah well, it was 'Lucy's Quest' day afterall.. which meant she'd gone to probably the busiest road in all of Erasmus to perch on a Fountain, oh yes the very top, ignoring the 'DO NOT CLIMB' sign fastened firmly on it, to pose in a very pirate-y way, surveying the area with a HUGE grin on her face.
Oh yes, best place -ever- to wait for a 'Be happy!' victim...... as long as you weren't the 'victim'.

(Insert Picture Of Taka Here)
Taka strode purposefully down the street, a deep seated scowl on his face. One of his workers had spilled quite a deal of copper alloy and he was on his way to berate, tar, and or feather them until they cried.
By God, the incompetent bum would cry!
His tail flicked in agitation, ears cocked back at a forty-five degree angle. The man was absolutely seething. His hands were clenched into fists, jaw set firmly. It had probably been some idiotic person his brother, and up until a few weeks ago co-owner, had hired.
Whomever lost him his precious resources and money would rue the day they were born.

Oh how her 'unhappy person' senses seemed to hone in on a rather unhappy looking Koshka who was all but storming down the street, her tail flicking from side to side as this.... 'Oh ho ho!' sort of grin formed on her face, before she clambered down the side of the statue she'd taken perch on.
No 'Death from above!' assault for that day. Instead she was taking an on-foot approach to follow along behind the man with a bit of a prance to her jog........
And then came the giggle that would be the only 'warning' that the poor man would get.
Because with Lucy there was no personal bubble. There was only FLYING OUT OF NOWHERE to latch to poor Taka's back with a loud purr and a rub of her cheek against the back of his head.
Purr purr purr.
"BE HAPPPYYYYYYYYYY."
RIGHT. IN. HIS. EAR. And quite loudly, unfortunately.

Taka stumbled forward, eyes widening, arms pinwheeling to keep himself from toppling over. All of his fur stood on end, ears flat as he tried to push whomever it was off of his person, ears ringing. "GEROFF ME!" He snarled darkly, trying to reach for the girl's arm with the intent to dislocate it from her shoulder, so long as it pulled her off of his back.
People looked in Taka's direction but quickly looked away seeing a flash of a murderous gaze in his dark green eyes.
So much for being polite.
She now held the record for snapping his temper in the shortest time ever! He went from zero, toward her anyway, to one hundred in the span of zero point three seconds.

The sudden jerk on her arm did it's task to YANK her from her post on his back, causing her to eep lightly and rather acrobatically right herself, landing palm first then flinging herself in a sort of 'hand-spring' motion onto her feet. Probably the most graceful impromptu act of her life, which was followed by a curtsy to her non-existant audience before she turned to give Taka this look.
Stare.
Staaaaaarrrrreee.
Not a 'I HAET U FOR BEIN' MEAN TO ME' look, but a rather gimpy looking smile.
"Awwww, You need a HUUUUUUG." she said, sounding -quite- intent on giving him said needed 'hug'. Yes, under the pain of death that was being radiated at the younger female that she was -completely- missing. Smilesmilesmile.
'Threatened Sheild' powered up at 100%!

Taka squared his shoulders and drew himself up to his full height so he would look as imposing as possible. "I need NO such thing, Miss! And you will do well to leave. me. alone!" He snapped seriously, eyes narrowing. Oh Lord where was a bobby when you needed one? He couldn't really do much to keep the girl away as they were in public and she was well, a girl.
At this point he had no idea what to do.

Smilesmilesmile.
Being imposing wasn't something that exactly worked on Lucy, who still had this look on her face like she was fully expecting Taka to retract his statement about -not- needing a hug and actually accept one. Or rather it was more like she'd missed his point at all.
Which was further proven when she again invaded the poor man's personal space, flinging her arms around him in what could have been described as a rib-crushing hug. Complete with purring that could only come from a crazy and immature female such as herself.
Fiiiiive seconds.
Then she let go and again resumed that expectant look. Heck, the level of her oblivious idiocy was almost something to be sympathetic of. ALMOST.

Taka's eyes narrowed, flashing dangerously. "How. dare. you. touch. me!" He spat, venom in his tone. "Come near me again and you'll rue the day you were spat from your mother's womb, child." He added before stalking into an alley behind a few old buildings. He knew other ways to get to Cog Works and if she followed him, there weren't any witnesses.
So let her run a fool's errand and follow him.
It would be her funeral.
Her choice.
Her demise.

Well -that- hadn't exactly gone as she'd planned it to, causing her to frown at the ONE word that Taka had used and she hadn't been familiar with, 'Rue'. What was a 'Rue'?
What did it mean to 'Rue' something? Was that a good thing? It didn't sound like a good thing. But none the less she ignored that to go and ask just that of the man who had pretty much WARNED her to back off, happily stalking along after him.
"Hey hey hey hey hey... What's a 'Rue'? How do you do it?"
She seemed -quite- keen on getting this answer too.. but had apparently gotten enough of a hint to not dog on his heels. Though she would've preferred resuming her place on his back from the earlier hug of DEATH.

He gritted his teeth and rounded on her with the ferocity of the strongest gales. "To rue something, ickle poppin jay," He said in a mock baby voice. "Is to wish greatly said thing did. not. HAPPEN!" He snarled, fist pulling back slightly. Instead he put it down again and stormed off.
"Leave. me. the. bloody. 'effing. hell. ALONE!" He roared, nearly at his breaking point. If she pushed him just a little farther either with what he viewed as idiocy, or physical touch, he could very well bloody his hands. On her face.

His yelling was, this time, returned with possibly the most mature and -flat- expression the girl had displayed yet. Almost creepily so.
"So I'm going to 'wish greatly' that I hadn't gone out of my way to try and cheer you up?" she replied cooly, though it was obvious she'd forced herself to slow down her pace of speaking, as well as lower her voice a tad.
"I am going to 'Rue' being one of the few people in the world who give a damn why such a well groomed man would be storming down the street in an angry huff?"
There was a pause as she sighed and massaged the side of her temples, probably a perfect display of how irritated Taka was feeling with the youngin'.
"I think the problem isn't me, then."

He blinked a few times at her sudden burst of maturity. She went from negative three all the way to one hundred and it startled him. He tried not to let it show and replaced his surprise with a scowl. His tail lashed behind him. "Perhaps it's the manner in which you conduct yourself." He said forcing his tone to be even. His eyes were till blazing at this showed through his facade.
"Now, if you'll excuse me. I have an employee to berate." He hissed before turning and walking again.
Somehow he knew that wouldn't be the last he saw of Miss. Tacklehugscream. But in the back of his mind, something bothered him. The simple truth was that no one cared about him. They either revered or feared him. There was no middle ground, no concern for one's welfare. He kept trying to tell himself she only cared because she didn't know him and once people got to know him they pushed him away at arm's length.
That, in itself, was depressing.
If he ever needed a drink, in his life, it was now.

"Ah!" There was a pause as though his less 'extreme' way of putting the 'Suddenly flying out of nowhere' being the problem seemed to sink into her brain. New note: We do not fly out of nowhere and hug -THIS- one. All the other 'victims' were technically OK in terms of that.
"Well, I'm sorry you didn't appreciate my methods." she replied with a slight smile, seeming a little more concerned by having to say such a thing as opposed to that he'd taken offense by them. But overall the less shrieky manner of conversation had gone over a -little- better with both of them.
And then another frown as he stated his 'destination' of the day, which seemed to put his 'anger' into a light perspective....
There was a moment were she paused, unsure of what to do, before she chased after him, grabbing his hand and rubbing her head against his arm with a purr.
"Well, sir... I hope that after you're done doing the not-so-happy thing you have a -much- better day. And I'm always open for hugs or other things you may need to make you happy. Just go to the Clock Store-Watch Repair shop across town. Gill'll probably know where I am."
It was a quick 'Nice to meetcha, Hope to see you again sometime' bidding with which she quickly turned tail to flee in the opposite direction to resume her quest.
