Corsetss look great on everyone, I think. Does anybody have a real one? I'm looking around for one to order.

I think most people can pull off corsets but some people can not.

I have a vintage corset that used to be my grandmother's (now 90 years old), and I am making one of my own a la civil war style (n****e high hourglass shape) with spiral steel boning.

It's very iffy when you go into ordering one online, because a corset should be made as much to your size and body shape as humanly possible, which is not as easy if the Corset Maker is not right there to look at you and fit you for the right one.
A corset that fits well can be magnificent-- especially for posture, but one that does not fit well can constrict breathing and cause a multitude of other problems, even if it -looks- great.
If you have a Renn fair that comes near you, I suggest going and checking there. wink There's always a corset shop, and they'll fit you for the right one.

I only have one corset, it's not really a "real" one, because it's not boned, but...
It's custom made by my pal Anjle... she does her own seamstressing on the side ^_^

I love my David Bowie corset too much biggrin She also made the skirt for that fashion show ^_^

If anyone is interested... check out her stuff! She is capable of making boned corsets, FYI... recently she's been working with an Opera company making exotic gowns... so she's definitely got a lot of experience biggrin

Here is her portfolio (it's not 100% current, she hasn't updated with any pics of her Opera-related work) : [PORTFOLIO] -- I'm actually featured on there a couple times... my name's Pam ^_^

Here is the link to her Strange Auctions Website [STRANGE AUCTIONS]

I highly recommend you guys check her out...
And if you decide to order anything from her, please do let her know that Pam referred you from this website ^_^

Thanks!!!!!!!
