My debate: Only God has the right to take a life away. Even if the person kills someone, that gives us no right to kill the person. That would make us just as guilty. "An eye for an eye makes the world blind."
People say "But jails are too crowdeddddd" but if the jails were more strict and didnt have television and a lot of luxuries that are UNNECESSARY then people wouldn't want to risk going there as much as they do now. hell, why not go to jail when you get a lot of cool luxuries that people on the outside world don't even get.

If this is about should we kill people then I'd like to state that in my opinion it depends. I can understand the standpoint of if a man has killed someone close to another, that other person will want him put to death. After all the logic is that if he was willing to kill that one person, what will stop him from killing another? So they have to put a stop on that trend by destroying the source. But then again, you have the other side of the argument of "he didn't know what he was doing!", "it was self defense!", "he has a family too!".
Bleh I don't know where I'm going with this. But I do want to say that if someone does something lawfully wrong, they should be punished. That is the way of everything; if you break a rule you will be punished.
However I do not think that just because there are luxuries in jails do people risk going there. That's pretty ignorant to me. Though if that is true, then what the hell is going on with today's government?

  I think the death penalty is good.
but only for psychopath killers and child molesters/killers.
but most death row prisoners dont even get the chance to get executed.
because they end up dying first. :/
in my opinion when they get the death penalty they should get taken to the execution room after.
but it is true that prisoners are crowding the jails, there are too many of them.
In my opinion, if drug penalties weren't as bad, there would be more room to control mass murderers and rapists.
but the whole god thing doesn't phase me because I am agnostic.

People DO risk going there just for luxeries. I had a female friend that was homeless, and had nothing to eat, no TV, no bed. She held up a convineient store JUST to go to prison for that reason alone. Prisoners have it VERY easy, they get to read, do sports, work out. I think if you do something, lock them in a cell with a bed and a toilet and let them rot for awhile, thatll teach them better than allowing them to watch tv and play sports

America is freaking stupid! We need to go back in the day where it's just a dusty old cell with a wood plate bed and a crappy toilet. I am not having some a*****e who raped 15 women have a happy life in jail just because some idiot in the government decides that they still have human rights.

But if I'm correct wasn't there a scriptor saying that one should kill a man if he slept with his wife or something? Holy Ariel the problem is that people are suppose to be equal, at the moment when we lock people up, they no longer equal. it's our nature to feel bad killing people but of course there are people who don't feel anything doing bad So you suggest we let them go free and don't punish them, or are you suggesting we kill them?
