This has been an overly used argument. But I'd like to hear your input. I've won 2 arguments on gaia, one in the ED and another in CB<--that doesn't count honestly.
In my standpoint, my girlfriend was rushed to the hospital because of a smoker's inconsiderateness. In hawaii there was a law passed that there will be no smoking within 20ft of mall entrances, inside malls, businesses, parks, bus stops, and/or restaurants. But even if this law was passed, it is never enforced because the law has smokers in them too. I have always heard the counter argument of " just move away from the smoker." But you have to realize that there are situations where you can't just merely move. It irritates me to see the ignorance of smokers where there have been countless reports and studies of second-hand smoking. Honestly I couldn't give a damn about them, if they choose to kill themselves with tobacco then fine, but if you decide to harm other people because of your own life choice then I will give a damn. You can see the similarities of smoking in public and harassing someone. In both situations you hurt someone, and when you do that your rights get taken away. So don't even try that " I have a right to smoke." line. /endrant.

Darn, I love debating so I was hoping this was something I disagreed with.
But, I agree 100%. Smoke outside or in a smokers only room, which is closed off completely from the non-smoking room.
I tried smoking and its disgusting. I don't see why people do it.

Youre Awful I love you Darn, I love debating so I was hoping this was something I disagreed with. But, I agree 100%. Smoke outside or in a smokers only room, which is closed off completely from the non-smoking room. I tried smoking and its disgusting. I don't see why people do it.   I used to be addicted emo

Darn. I love debating too. I never tried, my girlfriend doesn't want me to. Hell I don't want to hurt her just because I'm curious. There are a lot of reasons why one smokes, but all reasons are simply invalid because a lot of people suffer the same problems as the one person, and a lot of them do not depend on cigarettes. No offense.

A major annoyance to me is when smokers counter argue with " Why don't you just move away." There are always two sides of a story, and I understand that. I wish to make this work, for everyone but it won't happen if there are those who are just simply plagued with ignorance.
