Main rules and Guidelines
1. This is a guild meant for people who are literate. In keeping with that, please type in clear English. We're not going to jump on your back for an occasional typo, but typing out the complete word makes us all happy, and communications easier.
As for repeat topics. If there's already a topic adressing what you'd like to discuss, post your stuff there.
2. DO NOT BE AN a*****e. We're really not kidding on this one. We're all friendly in here, and want others who are friendly as well. Come in, grab a cup of tea, and relax. Trolls, spammers, flamers, and jerks will be banned on sight. Don't test our patience on this one.
3. Not everyone is going to be exactly like you. Gaia is an international site, and has people on it from all over the world. Not everyone will be speaking English exactly the way you do, or have the perfect word every time. Also, our international friends will be able to tell us about books from their neck of the woods. Let's respect and encourage everyone to join us and have fun.
4. The moderators are your friends. We'll gladly take any suggestions for banners, events, stickies, rules, or mostly anything else.
So sit back, relax, and share with us!

Purpose for this thread.
This is where all guild business is taken care of. Post your suggestions here. Post that you read the rules. If you've got some cool banners to show off, post that too. New members should intro themselves in the Welcome thread.
Gaia Event Literate Hang Out Thread Link
Every time a Gaian event comes along, it's sometimes tough to find each other. Instead of having to post-stalk TCD, the link will be posted here for all of you to find.

Purpose for the guild:
For literate and literary minded people to come together in a place where we can all be geeky about books, and have fun. We're from different places, and have known each other in different capacities, but we're all here to have a good time.
LOLOMFG (League of Literate, Organized, and Multi-Faceted Gaians) is a guild created for the convenience of literate Gaians. It features most of the same discussions Gaia has in it's forums with the exception that only people who use correct punctuation, grammar and spelling are socializing, so there is no need to get frusterated at anyone for their netspeak.

I agree with all of the rules. I think this guild is a great idea, and I'll use it to its full potential.
Umm, I'm going to edit that signature of there, the one with the girl describing the LOLOMFG in a speech bubble... I'm just going to edit her out and paste my avatar in... I hope the creator doesn't mind that. If it bugs you, just PM me and I'll delete it.

That's why it's there! xp If anyone else wants to do this, it's fine by me. 3nodding Anything to get the word out there. You can customize the banners to use your own avatar on them as much as you'd like. Just make sure it still meets signature requirements though!
