What are your favourite types of books to read during:
Flying in an airplane? Taking a long car trip? Bored in school? Bored at home? Just wanting a good read?
Do you ever find yourself randomly wandering the aisles of the bookstore or the library and just plopping down on the floor to read?

What is the one book that you could never do without? I can't begin to think of it.
What are your favourite types of books to read during: Flying in an airplane? A random magazine. Taking a long car trip? The Discworld series; occasionally a Harry Potter book. Bored in school? A random book from the library -- usually a collection of mythology or Shakespeare. Bored at home? Anything by Terry Pratchett or Neil Gaiman. These days, it's usually one of the Sandman books. Do you ever find yourself randomly wandering the aisles of the bookstore or the library and just plopping down on the floor to read? Sometimes.
Favourite authors? Pratchett, Gaiman, L. Carroll, D. Adams... whoever wrote Ella Minnow Pea.

Catch-22 What is the one book that you could never do without? I, unfortunately, have yet to find a book like this for me. >< Catch-22 What are your favourite types of books to read during: Flying in an airplane? Taking a long car trip? Bored in school? Bored at home? Just wanting a good read? I have motion sickness, which really, really sucks, so no go on the first two. >< When I'm bored in school, I try to keep my mind as far away from the school as possible, so a good fantasy novel for me. Same for when I'm bored at home. Heck, I like sci-fi and/or fantasy books whenever. ^_^ Catch-22 Do you ever find yourself randomly wandering the aisles of the bookstore or the library and just plopping down on the floor to read? Yes, and it's fun to do so. whee Peirs Anthony, Douglas Adams, J.R.R. Tolkien. 3nodding

What is the one book that you could never do without? Any of my Lemony Snicket books, to be honest. Or, The Shining by Stephen King.
What are your favourite types of books to read during: Flying in an airplane? I always found it stupid to read on an airplane. I'm always too excited and it winds down my trip. The last time I read was probably in grade three when I went to Disneyland for the first time - I believe it was a Baby-Sitters Club book. Taking a long car trip? I love reading mysteries, or things that will benefit me later (textbooks, rituals...) Bored in school? Textbooks, textbooks, textbooks. I love them. Bored at home? Uncle John's Bathroom Readers. <3 I'm totally in love with the series, which is where I know all of my random, useless facts. Just wanting a good read? Usually when this occurs, I grab some of my religious books. I'm a unique blend - Wiccan and Catholic. Ish.
Do you ever find yourself randomly wandering the aisles of the bookstore or the library and just plopping down on the floor to read? I've done that a few times, though usually it takes me ages to go from extremely excited over finding a good book to being a dull cat.
Favourite authors? If I could get away with saying Denis Leary here, I could, but I can't. J.K. Rolwing and Stephen King would have to be two of my favorite authors, and same with... I can't remember his name. I've only read three of his books. And of course, over all, Lemony Snicket would take the cake. I'm a murder mystery junkie, and kids book junkie. Oh, and I don't think I could live without my non-fiction conspiracy books.

I recently stumbled onto the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and I'm really into it right now. I'm gonna go buy the other four in a few days. Anyone else read it?
