I know, it's not Buffy, but, it is by Joss Whedon. I watched the whole season, and it ROCKED! I'm going to see Serenity, which is based off Firefly, when it comes out in the movies.

Cool, I saw the premeire screening of the finished film in san diego a few months back. It rocked, especially if you're a Firefly fan.
I would suggest you read the comic book too. It bridges the gap between the movie and the film. so you know what happened in the 6 months that took place in between.

It bridges the gap between the movie and the film. so you know what happened in the 6 months that took place in between. Sounds good, I just might do that. And yes I was a HUGE firefly fan. I was dissappointed when they cancelled it. I heard that there are 2 major character deaths though. I don't like them kind of things, but i'll suffer because I am a browncoat to the end.

I watched it for the first time two days ago. I must say, it was pretty good. smile So, I'm planning on going to see Serenity tomorrow! 3nodding

What is Firefly about? I've heard about it, obviously, but I've never had the chance to see it... I do plan on seeing Serenity! That looks wicked!!! xd

Okay well I'm probably not the best one to fully explain to you what it's about, since I've only seen like 4 episodes...had didn't really know what was going on.
But in a nutshell, it's about a crew who are on this spaceship called Serenity (hence the name of the movie) who do different jobs throughout the galaxy to earn a living. There's a captain, a fighter, a pilot, a criminal, a mechanic, a "Companion" (meaning she's a proffessinal prostitute) a doctor and his genius sister who's been experiemented on by some government which made her somewhat insane, and a priest. And the show is just about their adventures.
(Okay if some of thats wrong, I'm sorry...like I said I've only seen a few episodes)
Oh and it's a western too, so it's a sci-fi western. xp

I SAW THE MOVIE!!
I cried like a baby. One of the characters I liked died. And Mal and Inara never get together in that movie, what a rip! The only people that got together was Simon and Kaylee, which is cool, but I like Mal and Inara better.
That movie was the best movie I've ever seen, you guys should go see it, if they make enough money they are going to make 2 sequels to it. Everyone support Serenity, the famous Firefly class ship!

OMG! Don't post any spoilers! I wanted so very badly to go and see it this weekend, because it was the opening weekend, and I wanted to show my support. But my dad (who wanted to see it really badly too) got caught up with work and etc and couldn't take me. And NONE of my friends like any of Joss Whedon's work and wold rather die than be caught going to see Serenity. Ya see, to them it's what they call "uncool" to see movies like that. stare
*sigh* I WILL go see it next weekend though, I'll drag my dad to go with me. xp

i've never heard of it
whats it about? It's another show by Joss Whedon. It was on Fox for a little while, but it was cancelled after only like 12 episodes. I didn't think I would like it because it was a show about Space. But, it's pretty good considering the main characters are criminals! And the show is HILARIOUS. You should watch it, if you go see the movie "Serenity" it's based off the series, although you won't really get it unless you watched the show.
