The setting is underwater, though strangely enough both competitors can breath easily. These are tropical waters, and the both of you are dropped on either side of what is called the Coral Reef. Tropical fish swim by quickly, and a shark or two swim around the outside.

The Large Figure of Gelu stood under the water on the ocean floor, his giant scale Zanbato in one hand. "What the Hell... underwater..!" Opening his mouth Gelu attempted to blow out a jet of fire, succeeding in only expelling a stream of bubbles and smoke. "Well... isn't that nice..." Looking at his Giant cleaver Zanbato Gelu suddenly had an idea before diving in to the coral, finding a nice spot to hid himself while he thought. 'Restricted movements... decreased speed... and decreased ranged attacks... Perfect.'

'Oh the joys of some people's sick minds...' she thought sarcastically as she made a resounding splash into the tropical waters. She stood out like a sore thumb amounts the incredibly blue waters, colorful fish, odd looking rocks, which she only assumed were some interesting part of the underwater ecosystem. Not that it particularly bothered her. Her vibrant crimson orbs were on the lookout for her next opponent. Even the sudden ability to breath underwater didn't phase her. Her mind was focused, spirit unbroken, and power levels full. Her last battle in this tournament had been incredibly easy, and she was mildly hoping for somewhat of a challenge. It was easy enough. Her control over her affinities wasn't hindered in the lightest. Her wings were water-resistant, and served as an excellent propellant through the water. She tightly held the black whip's hand in her right hand. No need to give away what she had in store for her opponent yet. Everything had a time and place. She soared through the waters like it was sky, weaving through the coral which fish danced upon. She slowed herself towards the end of the reef and swam silently, her eyes always open, her body always ready for the first attack.

Gelu smiled as he moved threw the coral, his scales constantly changing color to mach that around him so that he was almost impossible to distinguish from the background as he moved closer to his pray. 'A whip will never work under water... to much drag.' Plucking a scale from his arm Gelu extended it in to his giant cleaver as he got withing striking distance. "Hello Reya." Using his tail as a powerful rudder Gelu lunged at Reya, his cleaver moving with a surprising amount of speed under the water as his swung for the woman's shoulder.

Although she couldn't say she had actually recognized him before he spoke up, she immediately recognized his arrogance and dodged with attack with a powerful flap of her wings. She shot straight up, easily avoiding him all together. She looked down at him from a few feet above and let the black handle turn an all too familiar neon violent. The whip's violent stream of energy broke off into two florescent streams, both trailing up her arms like some sort of protective armor. Her eyes rested upon his weapon.
"Dragon boy. Fancy seeing you in such a place. Would that weapon of yours happen to be metal?" she responded in her usual calm, yet monotone manner. She must stay calm and collected. The key was to invoke anger and blindness within the opponent.

"You would like that wouldn't you." Smiling Gelu jumped off the ocean floor, his scaly body easily piercing the water making travel for him easy and fast. Before he got to close Gelu swung his Sickle Zanbato at Reya, disconnecting the blade in several placed turning it in to a long razor sharp whip the cut threw the water with the blade edge, the end of it aimed so that it would cut open Reya's chest.
(And so you know, it is not made of mettle.)

( wtf is it made of then? )
Another powerful flap of her wings and the blade was easily avoided. From her last battle, she let the silver surface from her knuckles, extending out in sharp dagger like blade. It was strong enough to pierce flesh, and deflect strong blows, but that's all she had to work with at the moment. Once she was safely out of the way, she repositioned herself and shot herself forward at Gelu, attempting to pierce his chest with her extended right arm.

When the tip of his blade missed Gelu swung it down in to the ground, using it to jump start his movements so that he was propelled directly at Reya. Despite his size Gelu was able to use his tail, as well as the drag Reya was experiencing from the water to quickly maneuver himself around the blades and gain a position behind Reya. "To slow." Pointing his arm at the girl Gelu extended one of his scales in to a long, thin blade that he thrust at the back of his opponent, directly at her heart.
(It doesn't say, but I am more maneuverable in the water due to the streamlined body and the scales.)

Reya wasn't going to be taken down so easily. Did dragon boy really think, that a simple thing like this was going to take her down? If he did, he was sadly mistaken, and quite stupid. Dragon's skin was an interesting substance. It was not metal, but it pierced and acted like metal, and consquecentally, Reya disliked it. She much preferred being able to let her opponent's metal armor turn on them, but that was simply the easy way out of a battle. This would be much more... fun. To struggle for victory, to smite little dragon boy. Let him think he had the upper hand, then crush him in a devastating blow. Reya moved quickly but, only enough only so that his blow would not be lethal. It went through her side, but did not pierce all the way through the other side of the skin. Fairly shallow wound, but it let quite a bit of blood out into the ocean none-the-less. The reason it was so shallow, was because of the concentrated metal barrier she had immediately formed a little bit under the pucture point. He was arrogent, and it would be his downfall. She smirked inwardly as her blood flowed into the water.
"Are you sure about that, dragon boy?" she merely responded, sounding grim but inwardly laughing.

The moment the blade pierced Reya's side two large bards extended out from the sides so that the two were anchored together until Gelu saw fit to release them or Reya wanted to rip off her side, Gelu had also angled the blades so that if Reya moved the wrong way her lung would procure a long cut along the bottom. "I wasn't talking about physically." Filling his lungs with air Gelu exhaled what was supposed to be a jet of fire but instead was a jet of water hot enough to cause severe burns.

Reya laughed inwardly again. That was it. Keep breathing that water. Keep breathing the poision her blood had let out the moment her flesh was pierced. A paralytic poision that would dull his senses, and make him loose control over his body. It would start with a numing sensation in his arms and legs, then quickly change into complete uselessness of the limbs, and if he kept up the rate at which he was breathing it, it would knock him and and eventually stop his heart. Reya let metal blades on her knuckles sink back into her skin. The metal traveled quickly, making a nice layer of metal on the top of her skin that was exposed to the heat. The whip that had snaked around her hands slowly had made its way to the base of the weapon and furled tightly around it. It was eating away at the scales as a separate end broke off from the top and made its way into Reya's side as well to begin working on the rest of the blade.
"Do you think you've won, dragon boy?" she asked, her voice still sounding grim.

Sensing something was wrong Gelu disconnected the scale weapon before moving backwards noting that his pseudo-water attack had failed to do anything to the metal. 'Dammit...' Shaking his arms slightly gelu realized that using his fire would not of caused a tingling sensation. "... weight a second... your a-" Moving back suddenly Gelu covered his mouth with his arms to stop any more posing from entering his system.
Due to Gelu's size it would take a considerably large amount of poison to cause major harm to his system, but the dragon was not about to take a chance. Gelu also figured that his fire attack, at the moment before it combined with the water, would harmlessly be burned off roughly half of the relatively small amount of poison that he had taken in.
'So if stay at a distance I cant fight with fire, and if I get to close her poison will kill me if I breath, and ice attacks might have an interesting affect under watter and I don't want to find out what it might be.' Having a sudden idea Gelu quickly angled himself downwards towards the coral reef, hoping to find shelter inside of the jungle like rock and shell structure, using his camouflaging technique to multicolor himself to blend in.

Reya had to use all her power not to laugh in that arrogant lizard's face. So he'd noticed? Well then, no matter his size, the moment he'd felt the tingling sensation, there was no stopping that poison, unless of course he begged for an antidote. Which she could give him, but would prefer to watch him suffer. No matter how large he was, it was only a matter of time now before the tingling would turn into a burning, and that burning, and then his limbs would feel like concrete, and no matter what he did to them, they would not move. Finally when all hope thought would be lost, there would be a pressure in his forehead and he would black out, and then all was over and Reya would simply claim his scales and skin as a prize. Dragon armor sounded nice. It had a pleasant malicious ring to it. She was pleased with her scheming. Reya's eyes followed Gelu down into the coral. She had caught sight of him, and she was not going to loose it. She slowly followed pursuit, letting the metal shield skin back into her skin, readying it from the formation of anything else she may have needed.
"Turning tail and running? How fitting for a lizard." she spat out the last word, making it linger in the air. If she enraged him, how easy would it be to quicken the pace of the poison? He'd attack her brutally no doubt. Was it wise? Perhaps not. Did she care? No. Anything he brought at her, she could take, and would take, and would turn it back on him like a thousand stinging needles.

((... you just had to call him a lizard didn't you?!))
Upon hearing himself being referred to as a common lizard Gelu stopped dead in the coral, his scales reverting back in to a shinning grey. "...I, am, not, a, lizard..." Curling his clawed fingers in to fist Gelu covered his arms in a blue sheet of ice that turned portions of the water near Gelu in to blocks of ice that floated around on the current as well as lowering his body temperature to below freezing, slowing the evolution and spread of the poison. "... I am a dragon."
Spinning around gelu held his hand against his lips while blowing out a wave of ice energy in the form of a mist like structure that, due to the fact that they were surrounded by water witch is essentially melted ice, rushed Reya much faster than either of the two would be able to move under the weight and resistance of the watter on top of them.

(( Yes, yes I did... and I'm going to continue doing it. It amuses me. ))
Of course she didn't expect to dodge the ice. She had to need to. The violet neon whip that wrapped around her entire body was all she needed as a shield. As the ice touched her, froze, she spoke softly, but loud enough for Gelu to hear.
"Really? You could have fooled me. I thought you were a gecko for the longest time..." she also smirked, but her words were dripping with lethality. And then, she appeared to be frozen solid. However, she was far from it. She was simply biding her time while the deadly neon whip set to work. It's corrosive power almost instantly melted through the ice. It was wrapped around her entire body, wings included. It took only a few moments before she was thawed herself, but trapped in the ice surrounding her. That took only seconds to cut out of, but she felt not like releasing her sword along with the small out of stored power that was more than enough to deal with Gelu. She would defeat him in her current form. So, the whip began on the ice surrounding her, and quickly burning through a hole. However, she waited to see his reaction. Perhaps he'd burn up some power in his rage and it'd make it easier for her to finish him off. It already looked like the poison should be making good progress, perhaps a little slowed by the cold, but not enough to keep his limbs from dropping like stones within the next three minutes. Sooner than later she hoped.
