Although it is very fun for those who are competitive in-game, it gives little chance to those who just want to play casually and collect badges. It's pretty hard competing with the elites and the guilds for them.

I guess it's good in that it really does only allow those that have the capability to or have a strong desire to defeat bosses to get in versus someone who is not as "qualified." But the degree in which this "qualification" draws the line is so thin. For example, my Entertainer could easily kill Tombeth, but higher levels who merely get to it faster make me have to restart the whole trial process over and over. It's frustrating but it just shows how Trickster is starting to favor those who are of a higher level; thus, people play more to become those higher levels and help Trickster gain revenue from the increase or consistency in players. Basically: I don't like all these new trials that have been part of the "revo" to the bosses, but I can understand why Trickster would want to put that as part of the game.
