I don't think it died, it's just that there is not that much new popular metal band anymore, but it's definately not dead.

hey metal dont die or lost his worth its just all ppl change like the music and all in the world!!we cant force to listen to metal!!all i can say is just that the ppl who dont listen to metal missed much in live!!~^^~

I agree with most of you all Metal didn't die, but the reason I ask was because I have a couple of friends who hate Nirvana and claim that grunge killed Heavy Metal, I just wanted to see who else feels like me and claim that Heavy Metal still lives.
