We as Silent Hill fans enjoy a good horror game, so if you come across some, post them here! Rules for posting games are:
If its a PC game:
Does it need to be downloaded.
Is it free-to-play or pay-to-play
Is it strategy/horror, shooting/horror/ etc.
post a link to the game or download site *unless it is a game you purchase for the PC at a store*
If it's a console game:
What console.
Shooting/horror, strategy/horror, ect..

Also, go to Newgrounds or google the flash game Exmortis and it's series Exmortis 2. *it has its touches.... i don't find it as scary as I use to, but some of you might enjoy it* It is free to play and like I said is a flash game. It is horror/strategy.

Celena Waters Ahh I got one! There was a game I've played since I was really young called Sanitarium. It's for the computer and it's a game you have to buy. As for the game I posted earlier, Penumbra..... I personally don't recommend it.... it's not a shooting game either, they have First Person Shooter in its description, but you dont get to fight the monsters in the game, you run from them but they can still kill you *kinda ticked me off...... cuz i dont know any morons who just run*.... It has it's effect on you when you're traveling in the dark, but you're only in extreme darkness for like... a few moments at the beginning.... You're sources of light are flares, flashlight, and glowstick..... flashlight drains fast, flares die quick, and glowstick is suppose to be infinite light source? i dont think so.... ANYWAY, looking forward to finding more games! *hopefully...*

How about the Fatal Frame games?
They a survivor horror where you exorcise ghost with a camera. It can get reeaaal creepy too.
There are four games but heres the,
Fatal Frame 1 trailer
It's not so much a trailer though than the beginning of the game.

Those games actually helped me to get over my fear of horror games.... and ghosts in general. rofl That's when I realized that horror games come equipped with excellent plotlines. heart The second Fatal Frame game (Crimson Butterfly) is absolutely masterful in its plot and construct. x3 It's lovli. Someone mentioned to me this game called "Rule of the Rose" (PS2). It looks really nice. o_o It's like Fatal Frame only British. xD Figure that out! *lulz* I know very little about it aside from that, though. xd

Idk, ever since I played the SH series, its extremely difficult for me to find a horror game I can claim to be good or look good *not offending people who DO like Fatal Frame*. I was never afraid of ghosts, but when I played Silent Hill 4, I got a fear of the ghosts in THAT game, but overcame it THROUGH that game. *i like the ghost with the beer bottle.... i get my wine bottle and we have a bottle-bash fest* rofl

I was so bored one day, that I, in fact, watched the whole entire first game played on youtube.
I luff it.
Actually some say that FF2 is one of the scariest horrors around.

Besides Silent Hill, Fatal Frame 2 and 3 are pretty good, especially 3. I love Fatal Frame 3. xd I think most of us have play Resident Evil, those are pretty good too. Clocktower 3 is pretty scary too, since it's mostly (if not only) running and hiding. sweatdrop There was another one for Gamecube....but I'm not remembering it.... Eternal something? That had some scary elements in it. Siren's another one, but I haven't played it myself. I want to play The Demented on the DS too. xd There's more I've heard of or seen but I can't remember. sweatdrop
Nothing really beats the Silent Hill games though, but Fatal Frame 3 for me is a close second. blaugh

Gorobei-Katayama- Resident Evil is ok, if found it some what boring. Silent Hill of course is AWESOME. Personally my fav Horror game is Silent Hill 4 The Room. I agree, Silent Hill 4 is my favorite. Resident evil..... eh, it's good for the killing, but I never liked the storyline. And as for fatal frame, everyone already read *maybe not* earlier about my response to Fatal Frame. OH WELL. Glad to see people are finding use out of this thread.

On another note: Haunting Ground seems like a good game. It's like Clock Tower only you can actually fight. It's mostly running away but you have a dog to accommpany you.

I dont like games where all you can do is pretty much run and hide..... im not a gutless coward so it doesnt mix well xd i get too strong of an urge to just go rambo on stuff. I mean, yea if it has the right scare factor it can be cool, but i just cannot stand running and hiding.... thats how that game was that I posted earlier, Penumbra..... all you do is run..... All it took was for a bat the size of a soccor ball to blow down a steel door barricaded by a steel shelf and like 4 tv's and a safe to make me say "ok this is like.... not cool" and uninstall it.

LOL! I did that in my computer class for a week. I liked the first FF. I want to ACTUALLY play it! Lol. But, I don't have a PS2 anymore or where to find that game except for at home o_o;

OMG YOU have penumbra!!! I just download Penumbra: Black Plague. That game is crazy. I love it. The only thing I hate is the ugly man thing that runs around after you. sweatdrop
