"Mutual Apologies" ChosenSavith, GentleMidnightDancer
Half way up the cliff face, where tree met rock, Savith found a nice little outcropping, shaded by the branches, yet well lit and dry. Thinking less of a home and more of a place to escape the others, the glider was meticulously clearing the debris from the 'floor' and sorting it into orderly piles near the wall. Big stuff, rocks, leaves, random crap, old feathers, compost. It wasn't an impossible climb, but neither a simple one. Surely the curious would find it... eventually.
Oh poor Dancer was always a glutton for punishment and sent joyfuly to Savith as he fussed, *Are you building a nest up there?*
**Considering it,** he replied curtly. It'd been a few days since their last conversation, but at least he wasn't completely distant.
She laughed softly both in her mind and through her mouth. He was such a reluctant thing to smile but she wanted to be one of the first to see it if not the first. *Do you need help gathering twigs and leaves then??? Maybe some mud from my cave to make it stronger?*
Savith chuffed physically to himself, though only a hint of it worked its way into his send. **Unless it's mud like the sun village had, it'll run at the first rain. And there's twigs aplenty up here.**
*Is that aan invite then?* If he looked she was already making her way up the cliff side before he even gave an answer.
**Not really,** he replied with resignation. It filtered into his mind's voice as he caught a glimpse of her climbing. **But don't let that stop you, I guess**
Dancer gave a little huff and blew a bit of midnight hair out of her face. *No no... If I'm not welcome then far be it from me to set myself up for another thrashing like the one before.* She started moving back down the cliff slowly. Down was harder then up.
Savith sighed audibly and knelt down at the edge, holding his hand down to her. **Get your tail up here and stop being difficult,** he snipped with an annoyed air.
She glanced up with a smirk as if to say she knew that would work and took his hand. *If you insist.*
Savith frowned in replied and lifted Dancer up. Unlike being pulled up normally, his grip on her hand stayed light and unstrained, his face was not showing any stress from the weight. Rather, she seemed to simply grow weightless as he took the weight of the world from her and guided her up and onto the roomy ledge. He clicks in his tongue in reply, mind unable to form a retort as he knows full well that anything he might come up with would probably start with a falsehood. He'd make his mind stammer and he'd endup just sounding like a moron.
Blue eyes grew wide at the feeling of weightlessness and her smile beamed. "oooooohhhhhhh Can we do that again?" She turned and looked out over the view taking a deep breath. "Nice perch you have here."
Savith didn't reply. He just turned back to his cleaning and sorting.
Dancer sighed softly and turned to faace Savith even if he wasn't looking at her. "I'm sorry about the other day Savith. I... I shouldn't have pushed so hard."
Savith paused and looked over his shoulder in Dacner's direction. "No, you shouldn't have," he remarked before going back to what he was doing. Moment past before he added, "And my apologies for losing control of my emotions." There. He said it. Are you happy now?
She shook her head a little and knelt down next to him to help with what he was doing. "I can't promises that I will never pry to far again. It is in my nature to want to know what I do not and sometimes I forget when to stop."
Savith glanced over at her as she started to work with him. "I like my privacy," he stated, then added after a pause. "I'm certain there will be many more such arguements."

She smiled softly and with a fondness like looking at a brother. "As long as we are always friends afterwards that's fine."

"I won't say always, but we'll work through each case as it happens," Savith replies as he finishes the last of the sorting. "There. That's done for today," he states brushing his hands together.

Dancer makes a little face and wrinkles up that cute little nose of hers. "Really? Don't you want to get anything to put up here for yourself? Maybe some baskets for fruit snacks or something?" His perch looked a lot like her home in one way, empty. Maybe we could fly up the rest of the cliff and I could show you where Peyote and I found some delicious berries." She glances down the cliff side at a pacing cat and chuckles. "Can't catch me Fire Bright." Then her eyes fly open wide and she looks back at Savith. "Would you...... Would you like a ride? I sware I won't go fast at all and if you talked to Peyote in the last few days she lies." Dancer bit her lip to fight off all out laughter. She knew full well that day in the woods was hard if not near impossiable for poor Peyote.

Savith quirked a brow at Dancer's enthusiasm, but shook his head. "No, I don't want a ride," he said. "But, fresh fruit would be nice." And with that he held out his hand.

She became a blur to his eyes in how fast she moved next to him and took his hand. She could hardly contain herself. "Oh Savith thank you. This is going to be great. I can't wait." To say the least she was very happy.

Savith didn't say any of what came to mind as the younger elf scrabbled to him. Instead, he just nodded and pushed off from the ground. Again, the sense of weightlessness covered them as his magic took the pull of the world from their bodies. He didn't move up with any great speed or urgency. He just directed them up, sideways out of the half built nest, then up again above teh cliff. He seemed to over shoot the ledge by a bit, and was thus forced to linger, hovering, in the sky, before making his way down toward the ground at the time of the cliff.

Her eyes were the size of the moon as they lifted off the ground. Poor kitty left roaring as she waved teasingly at him. Her neck might have broken as she looke about. "Oh Savith, to think you can do something as amazing as this whenever you choose. You are blessed by the high ones. I can't do anything like this at all. I can't do much of anything at times." She chuckled poking fun at herself instead of him for a change. "It feels like a dream." At first she held his hand tight but soon was hardly holding on at all in her excitment. "Thank you. Thank you so very much."

Savith just hmm'ed under his breath at her comments. To him, this was as common as sending and just as awe inspiring. As her hand relaxes, he soars a bit higher where the winds were a touch stronger and the full expanse of the cove and the beach beyond were visible. He turns so they face the best angle of the view, where the ocean sparkles like a silver blanket, and shifts his hand from her grasp. Feather-light, his fingertips trace up her arm to her shoulder, and rest just at the center of her back. **Drink your fill of the sight,** he sends lightly, like a horse whisper, devoid of emotion. The sight, clearly, means little to him.

Words seemed lost to her as they went higher. The wind seemed to even smell different up here. She did however giggle and wriggle just a bit as his fingers made his way up her arm and down her back. It felt like a little spider might as it made its way to where ever it was going. Then her eyes welled but her smile never faded at all. How lucky she was. Could many elves say they were in the sky? Perhaps so. Could many say they have seen the wonders of the great deep? Again perhaps so. But how many could say they have done both? Not so many she figured and she was truely greatful to know these two special males who have shown her such kindness even if they forgot how amazing it was. Her tears made her laugh at herself just a bit and she held out her arms like wings. "Savith." She took a breath as her voice trembled a moment. It wasn't fear, far from it. "Can we go down very fast and pull up short just before the ground?"

Savith pondered a moment. With no mountain and no Lord for anyone to assume the worst of him, he might be relatively safe in this. But still.... Hesitation danced over him even as he drifted higher toward the cloud tops. He took it slowly, mind racing over the what-if's and angry demands for an explanation from the others that might see a non flying elf plummeting toward the ground. And then there was teh tricky part about keeping her from going splat on the sand. He chewed on his lip over the concern.

Dancer waited long moments for an answer, when none came as of yet she smiled a little less. Not so much but still a bit. Again another one who will no go his top speed with her. Crosscurrent did the same thing when she wanted him to swim as fast as he could with her. Then again he was starting to feel sick and maybe flight took more from Savith then she understood. "It's alright if you don't want to. "Fingers reached out to try and touch clouds but of course couldn't. "This is more then I could ever have imagined." She paused for a moment then sent lightly to him. *But if it's because you are fearful in any way I want you to know I trust you.* The truth of the send was deep. She did trust him to never harm her or tell her anything but honest words no matter how little she might want to hear them.

Savith sighed lightly, mind replying. **I'm trying to work out the best way to do this without losing my grip on you and dropping you.** His mind was a bit worried, never liking to be put ont he spot with an offer of trust might very well break. **And trusting me has rarely been a good thing, for anyone,** his mind added, seemingly of its own accord. He continues his ascent to above the cloud line, where the air just starts to thin out. Here he stops, and eyes the ground far below, teeth still chewing on his lower lip.

*I don't care what you say bird, I trust you.* She laughed in her mind then looked down again. How small everything seemed. She could feel the change in her breathing but didn't care. If Savith listened close he might hear it to unless his mind got in the way. She felt suddonly dizzy but forced her mind to stay awake. "I feel like a feather and our world look so small from here." Her words give just the slightest him of a slur as her arms drop to her sides. In her mind they feel very heavy.
