User Name: Conjugal Burns
Character Name: Kal'Ceska vas Shalvyyn
Species: Quarian
Gender: Male
Age: 35
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 150
Eye Color: White

Physical Description: Ceska stands at five feet ten inches, which, while it may be average for humans, is tall for most typical quarians. From what can be seen through the curved glass visor on his helmet, Ceska has ghost blue skin that contrasts with the darker skin tone outlining his eyes. The eyes themselves seem to be white but seem to blend into gray. Whatever strange effects seem to be happening to Ceska's flesh are all purely aesthetic and due solely to the environmental suit's effects. Overall it's hard to pin down any distinct features and makes what can be seen of his face, periodically blurred and ghost-like.

Ceska's helmet follows the form of his head, accenting the natural curves, and crevasses of a quarian skull making the shape of his head seem both very alien and primal. The blast-proof glass acting as his visor dips down in a swooping arch to come at a geometric point just above his nose. Where his mouth would be the helmet extends into it's breather apparatus which appears as five vertical slits. Behind these slits is essentially a standard re-breather designed to filter out all toxic and deadly components in the atmosphere to cope with the lack of an immune system.

The environmental suit Ceska wears is lean and follows closely the contours of his quarian body to both maximize efficiency when moving and comfort. The suit is dark in color, no piece directly matching with another in tone the overall effect had the intent to create a kind of camouflage that had been recently developed and used by Ceska and his team. Essentially it's made to obscure the shape of the body by tricking the eyes of the beholder. In a crowd it would be hard to pick him out, and in a dimly lit room he's slightly obscured. Of course he can be identified with relative ease if an observer is looking for him specifically or knows what to looks for. The back arching of his legs give Ceska's humanoid form a slight distorted look, that has always made him a bit uncomfortable around humans.

If one were to view Ceska underneath his protective armor, he would appear as any quarian with his own unique characteristics, his body is of course augmented with implants he himself had a hand in constructing. A Personal tradition on his ship.

Background Summary: Ceska had been born and grew up on the Rayya, his father was an active member of the local militia and fervent support of the Admiralty Board. Ceska's mother was regularly knee deep in maintenance and improving relevant technologies to improve the quality of life on the flotilla.

Growing up, Ceska like all quarians enjoyed playing with technology, programming in software, turning it, changing it, watching it evolve. Ceska often acted as the leader of his small group of friends, guiding them through the loud frenzied flotilla as though he knew where he was going himself. Ceska delighted in petty theft, using his friends as decoys, setting up scams for the local vendors. Despite his viciously charming nature with the local children, Ceska was firmly disliked by nearly every adult and pawnbroker in the region.

His father always tried to discipline Ceska, crime was, has been, and is not welcome on the floatilla, particularly when committed under the nose of the militia. Rules are always very strictly enforced and criminals put to great shame. Ceska however, being a child, and his parents often finding and returning all of his loot (much to his vexation) and the crimes being minor, no cries for child Ceska's imprisonment were made.

Coming of age, was an eye opener for Ceska, and he learned much when he was sent out on his Pilgrimage. One key encounter was in fact, quite accidental. Ceska had been a fan of games his entire life, over coming situational problems thrilled him. So when he was hired to steal some data from a turian business man who had high profile security, he jumped all over it.
Ceska had little trouble disabling the electronics, but what had caught him off guard was the turian and his security force waiting for him outside. Surrendering the data, the turian put Ceska to work. Proving to be an honest, but ruthless business practitioner, the turian had Ceska designing his security systems, secretly tipping off the local authority to his competitions corner cutting (due to illegal taps Ceska set up) and general information gathering.

It was later that Ceska was confronted by a corrupt volus, competition for the turian. The volus made Ceska an offer he couldn't refuse, and Ceska began working for the 'enemy' acting as the chief of security, commanding around both krogan and human mercenaries.
The entire experience consisted of corporate warfare, and ended with Ceska breaking out of jail and taking with him the very piece of data the corporations had been fighting over.

Ceska retreated to different planets, living on the run not from the law--as his records had been erased, but from several non-too friendly corporations. Ceska used this time to study the data he had taken, revealing itself eventually to be a new and rather dangerous upgrade for biotic implants, design plans to up efficiency within potential biotics, specifically however to improve the power of implants. Ceska didn't think much of this, but did however see the possibilities. The concepts within the disk were novel, and they could be used if engineered properly, to advance technology for his own people.

Ceska returned to the flotilla and journeyed to the ship Shalvyyn where he presented his gift of technology to the captain and was admitted, changing his name from Kal'Ceska nar Rayya, to Kal'Ceska vas Shalvyyn. Once on board Ceska joined the Admiralty Board under their internal affairs division. Ceska was promoted throughout the years until he became the chief of security for the internal affairs division, effectively the head of the quarian secret police in charge with hunting down and capturing high priority suspects within the floatilla for the Admiralty Board. This time in his life Ceska spent honing his marksmanship, learning -as most quarian fighters- how to do combat safely and efficiently on board space craft, with limited room; he took delight in learning to use his tech skills to wreck havoc on his enemies, exploiting their implants, and doing rather vicious things to the criminals he hunted down. This experience helped Ceska greatly; his mind all for playing games and solving riddles, combined with hunting down desperate criminals fueled and sparked within him a passion for justice, despite his younger years, he never knew he had.

Ceska himself and his team were there on Earth as a part of a larger escort when the Migrant Commander declared open war upon the batarians, neither he, nor his team knew just how much it would change quarian life in the galaxy forever.
