User Name: The Hegemon User Image
Character Name: Alia "Cadence" Dhaleena
Species: asari
Gender: N/A (There aren't really any genders for the asari. But female I guess.)
Age: 240
Height: 5 feet, 11 inches
Weight: 160 lbs
Eye Color: amber

Physical Description: Cadence stands at five feet eleven inches and has light blue skin like all members of her species. She has no visible hair, and instead has the folds that are unique to the asari species. She still has her C-Sec uniform, but usually sticks to informal clothing. While she owns a few formal outfits, she hides them and despises them for their lack of comfort. She refrains from wearing armor when she doesn't have to, but she always has an armored vest on beneath her clothing. Working in the wards will do that to a person.

Background Summary: "Cadence" was born on Thessia 240 years ago and elected to become a soldier early in life. Like all asari, she is a natural biotic and a talented warrior. she began training for military life at the age of eighteen and went through the training and conditioning that all potential asari soldiers undergo. For thirty years she studied the martial arts and the operation of all manner of weaponry. For an additional ten years she studied tactics and trained to be as effective on her own as she would be with a full commando unit. As a daughter of the city-state Serrice, she was, upon graduation from her respective war college, inducted into a well equipped and well trained unit. Serrice, being one of the largest cities on Thessia, and without a doubt one of the most well known, had the financial capability to equip and train their soldiers to the highest degree. She served as a member of a small commando unit for eighty-two years.

For most of those years she was extremely disciplined, but usually hummed or sang something softly while she was working on anything that wasn't a field exercise. Which was how she earned the nickname of "Cadence". After her unit began to call her nothing but Cadence, she adopted the name as a sign of flattery and began to use it more than her given name. In time, she grew bored with the asari military and resigned. After her honorable discharge, she sought out odd jobs among the galaxy working as hired help for traders or as a guard for Serrice Council. After forty years of doing whatever job she felt like, she ended up at the Citadel with nothing to do. Cadence quickly found lodging in the lower wards and applied at C-Sec. She was admitted quickly, simply because of her background as an asari commando.

She loved and continues to love the wards. She is unusually impatient for an asari, but still more patient than other species. For her, the wards offer excitement and entertainment not found closer to the presidium. She has been involved in a number of busts, and several covert operations. However she has always proven that she could usually get out of anything. Most often by resorting to using her fists. While she can talk her way out of things, she enjoys the thrill of combat and the surge of adrenaline. In some ways, she is closer to a human in attitude than she is to another asari. After forty years at C-sec she finally accepted a promotion and got a nice office and a nice desk job. Her previous refusals to advance in the ranks had been met with slight suspicion by her peers.

She served as an investigator for the Citadel Security forces during much of Humanity's early years as a member of the galactic community and experienced humans mostly through her contact with Harkin, usually dragging him in drunk. As more humans joined the force, she began to see that they weren't all sleazeballs. In fact, she has a great deal of respect for humans and sees them as a capable additions to the citadel. She was one of the few supporters of Lieutenant Commander Shepard when he became the first human Spectre. While she does not find the concept of Spectres very appealing, as she has always found the law to be there for the protection of all, she knows they are useful. When the geth fleet arrived at the Citadel, she was one of the many C-Sec officers who helped to evacuate the Presidium citizens into the wards. She, and thousands of other C-Sec agents, watched, in between geth assaults, as the remnants of the Citadel Fleet and the Human Arcturus Fleet destroyed Sovereign and put an end to the Reaper's scheme. When the smoke cleared, she assisted the Turian engineer corps and the rest of C-Sec in rebuilding the presidium and generally cleaning things up.

At the current date she has resigned from C-Sec and is living off of the credits she saved away, spending most of her time among the lower wards and upper wards. She spends a good deal of time in Flux and occasionally visits the C-Sec Academy. She sold her apartment in the Wards and bought a home in the Presidium. She is interested in the proposed colonization plan for Virmire, but hasn't acted on her interests yet.
