Here is a RP that I have started.

This role play is based on the computer game, Baldur's Gate: Throne of Bhaal. After the 'player character' became or didn't become the God of Murder. (in this plot, he became the God of Murder, changing his name from Artimus, to Bhaal.) I want to keep this plot on that realm.

Meaning, that most hard core technology doesn't exist. In the game, there were some but not a lot. Mostly magic laced objects. Creatures such as Elves, Orges, Goblins, Gnolls, Humans, Drow, Halflings, and such are all usable. I will even allow half-demons, but try to stay mixed with either Drow, Human or Elves please.

The next post will be the story, after that will be my first post. And go from there. Be sure to add your profile though, to the profile thread and stat that that character is in this rp. Thanks!

~Story~

Artimus, Lorissa and Imoen have grown up together since childhood under the tutelage of their guardian, the mage Gorion. As orphans, they were raised in Candlekeep, an ancient fortress-turned-library in the rural Sword Coast region, which lies south of the city of Baldur's Gate. Artimus notices thing going on in side of Candlekeep, but instead of sticking around, Gorion take him out of the village and moves him to a hiding spot. The night after leaving Candlekeep, they are ambushed by a group of bandits led by a mysterious "armored figure" who kills Gorion when he refuses to hand over Artimus, who flees into the night. He soon runs into Imoen and Lorissa, who had been following in secret after reading a note about the journey on Gorion's desk. Both girls saw Gorion's murder, and now insists on accompanying Artimus in search of their beloved guardian's killer.

Many months, even years past. Gorion was avenged. Imoen disappeared, the small group Artimus and Lorissa traveled with were captured, they found their lost sister Imoen. She had been captured by a fallen Wood Elf, who experimented on her and their friends. Though, escape from his dungeon felt a little too easy. As Cowled Wizards capture their torturer, and they take Imoen along for the ride.

It took some time to get Imoen back, and destroy their torturer. But, their fates were meant for far more then such drama. Lorissa, Artimus and Imoen came to find out that they were the spawn of Bhaal, God of Murder. Imoen lost her father's blood by the fallen Wood Elf. Lorissa rejected her father's blood and Artimus rose to the heavens to be his father's chosen son, and take his place as the God Of Murder.

Soon after, Imoen went off on a journey of her own. Leaving Lorissa to find her own way. So, she felt it best to visit an old city she had seen on her travels with her siblings, when they were looking for Gorion's killer. She wanted to visit, Baldur's Gate.

She was a long ways away from her birth home. She wasn't even sure if it was her birth home. All she knew was that she grew up there. Her journey though, would talk her well past the locked iron gates of Candlekeep.

Lorissa rested against a large oak, her short sword rested near her legs, she was writing in her journal. Drawing out a small map of the area she just explored. Checking her map she purchased when she first visited Baldur's Gate, she saw she was at least a months travel from there. "Not good." she muttered, sighing she packed her documents away, and gazed upwards. "Artimus." she murmured, closing her eyes.

Though, the eyes that looked back at her in her mind were not of her half brother's. But of a man she meet on her journeys. One she had fallen for. One that still loved another, though she was past on now. Killed by the same man that took away Imoen's Godly blood. Jon Irenicus. That 'thing,' had been dead for a good two years now, but she still couldn't stand thinking of his name. "Curse you." she muttered, opening her eyes. "I don't want to see you in my mind, I want to see him." she dropped her head, thinking she would rest for a moment. "Minsc." she murmured so soft, it was as if only a breeze had crossed her lips.

Borador was vastly pleased with himself he had just finished exploring the deepest recesses of a mountain, where he came upon some poor unfortunate souls. A gleam shone in his good eye they hadn't seen him coming he could move swiftly for one of his kind he had stolen all there provisions and was greedily thinking how well they would help him out.

He held a magical axe in his hands all his goods in the bag at his back. This axe was one he had made with the money he had made helping some souls in towns where needed, of course he only did this to benefit himself. He was so deep in pleasure of himself he didn't notice Lorissa until he practically tripped upon her. He swung his ice ax out at the ready just a few chops from this magic item, and a body would turn to ice and easily shatter. Perhaps he would be able to loot this one as well he wasn't really looking at the figure he was busy watching for threating movement.

She heard him approach before he tripped over her out stretched legs. She watched him stumble, then turn to face her in a fighting stance. She only raised a brow at him, her green hues looking over his body. She thought he looked familiar. "Do... Do I know you?" she asked, pulling her short sword closer to her self. Looking up at him as she rested against the tree. "State you name, Dwarf." she felt like glaring, but was to tired to really deal with such facial expressions.

Borador growled "I think ye should be telling me your name." His face looked guarded, he had a felling this girl wasn't afraid of him "And no a dwarf never forgets a face you tree hugger I have never met the likes of you." He shifted his bag on his back at first he stubbornly wasn't going to answer, but then he decided that there would be no harm. "Borador"

She smiled wickedly, oh she knew him alright. "Borador, eh?" she pretended to think for a moment. Tapping her sheathed sword against her thighs. "Hmm. Yes, though back when we last met, you were skinnier and didn't have that eye patch... thing." she raised another brow as she spoke the last bit. "I be, Lorissa. We traveled with my brother Artimus for a short spell." she thought of her brother for a moment, then turned her attention fully to the dwarf before her. "Bag full of jacked loot, I take it?" she smirked at him, being a bit of a thief her self, she could understand his likeness for gold and trinkets.

He honestly had to think a moment then he remembered. "Aye you have changed as well its your hair I believe no wonder I didn't recognize you." He lowered his axe. "Yes you know a thief's job is never done especially when they see something shiny." he reached up to straiten his eye patch his axe resting against his leg. "I got this shortly after we seprated I took a small job, and lost my eye protecting the person I was sent to retrieve oh well got lots of gold for it, and this fake eye that helps to detect all traps that are set."

She gazed at him with a level eye. "Ah, oh ho! Good for you. Loot and treasure for ye." she made to stand upon her own two feet. "Yeah, after Artimus rose to the Heavens, I decided to grow it out, make a bit of a difference. Prevent those old Helm Priest from hunting me down so quickly. "I'm on my way to Baldur's Gate, wanna join my company for a spell, like old times?" she patted him on the shoulder, mindful to not touch the one that held his pack, she wasn't stupid.

"Aye dieing and getting brought back with paying again I see." He gave a wicked chuckle. "Aye like ole times I would like that but like I warned ye before touch me sack and ye will pay." He said good natured he sat his sack at his large feet making a clacking noise.

"Why must ya remind me?" she asked, holding the back of her hand against her forehead, faining dread on her features. She giggled and shrugged, "Aye, I know. Touch ye treasure, lose a hand. I know, I know. Though, ye be lucky Artimus knew how to regrow bones, or we could call him stumpy." she giggled, remembering a time when her brother tried to jack his full loot, it was before they became allies, and friends.

Borador laughed wickedly as he remembered that time. "Aye it was lucky for him, but he deserved what he got at the time trying to steal me stolen loot." It was soon after that, that they became traveling companions. "All this talk makes a dwarf hungry shall we share a meal I have ale to drink." He didn't usually share with any but she was an old friend as much of a friend as a thief can have.

Thinking a moment. "We are close to a settlement. Lets walk to there, you might be able to sell some of your loot." she suggested, gathering her items to put them all into her bag, so they can make their way.

"Aye let us be on our way then it would be better that way because I be a little to close to those I snatched this from still." When he had ran into her he had been planing on going farther away, this settlement sounded like the best idea.

Nodding she lead the way. Having just visited the settlement not even a half day ago. "Aye, so how have ye been all this time we have been apart, my old friend?" she asked softly, wanting to make conversation, as their walk would take until night fall.
