I've got a question about partnership with the dragon. Is it mind connecting as in Inheritance or more like a deep feeling of understanding and affection as in the Temeraire books? do we have the choice when roleplaying?

Leila Drake I've got a question about partnership with the dragon. Is it mind connecting as in Inheritance or more like a deep feeling of understanding and affection as in the Temeraire books? do we have the choice when roleplaying? It is mind connecting but that relationship grows over time. the dragon is the one with the power. us humans are just partners, until the dragon trusts us and we can unlock our own power. it's also a feeling of understanding and affection. if attracted a dragon and their human partner can be mates. dragons can shape shift. and yes you have the choice

Can this mental link be formed accidentally? If so, how easily can it be broken? I can think of an amusing plot twist, depending on how the link can be broken.

yes the link can be accidentally formed and it takes death to break it. if one partner gets corrupted then so will the other

How strong is the link? Do they just hear each other's thoughts or can one of the partner's instinct take over. Ex. a dragon can't toast its partner because of the humans survival instinct.
