Scilia led the first years and various other students to the common room, and the Fat Lady swung open quite cheerily when she provided the password of, "Snargluff." She walked into the room, waiting for her friends to enter as well.

Leya finally made her way through the crowd to the entrance to the Gryffindor common room. "Snargluff," she told the Fat Lady, and she swung open. Looking around the common room, she found James sitting beside Damien, talking to him about something. She walked over to them.

Damien, just going 'hmm' and 'yeah' in spots he thought fitting, James was doing most of the talking as he kept his hand over his nose. It wasn't bleeding anymore, but it still hurt.

James finally rolled his eyes. "Why does it seem like you aren't in the mood to talk? If your nose hurts, you should go see Madam Reallis. Oh, hey Leya!" he said to Leya as she walked up. "You two should get up to bed. We have a big day tomorrow," she told them, then instantly felt like their mother.

Lace dragged her friends to the girls' dorm where they immediately began to change and climbed into their beds. Being a sixth year was hazardous, according to people up top.

"No, no... I'm fine..." Damien answered, drifting off. He seemed very distracted lately. "I think I'm going to go to bed," he sighed, hauling himself out of his chair. "'Night," he threw lazily over his shoulder, spinning on his heel and heading up to his dormitory.

Leya and James stared speachless after him. James cleared his throat. "Well... he seems just a little distracted, don't you think?" he asked her, patting the arm of his chair in invataion. Leya sat, sighing. "Yeah... I just wish I knew what was wrong..." James nodded, not the least sympathetic for Damien, just wondering why Leya was giving him so much attention. "Like you said, we should go to bed," James commented. Leya rolled her eyes but stood. "Great! I've been lucky not to see Melissa all day, but now you're forcing me to meet her head on!" James laughed. "You'll be fine." He pecked her cheek. "I'll see you in the morning." Leya nodded absentmindidly, rubbing her slightly red cheek. James continued up the stairs, a smile on his face.

Lace, Chris and Scilia walked into the common room, the latter dragging the other two down the stairs to the wonderful and slightly squashy seats with their books and schedules. Lace and Chris always thought that they had way too much to put up with without school on the first day back, but Scilia - who had gotten outstandings on every single of her twelve owls - was perky and excited to see what they would be studying today. She would be taking every single subject that she had taken the year before and would do so the next year, her NEWT year as well. Lace and Chris had scraped about 8 owls each, so they weren't that bad either, although they had dropped their sights to about 5 subjects each, both together. They also suspected that Scilia had been using Time Turners since their 3 year, but didn't yet have proof, she was that good.

Leya made it to the bottom, the jerked to a stop. Melissa and Rachel stood around James by the fireplace. Melissa had a hand rested on James' shoulder. Leya glared.
James stood awkwardly by Melissa, not even listening to what she was saying. He spotted Leya at the bottom of the stairs. "We'll talk later, Melissa," he told her, watching Leya's disapproving face. He made his way over to her.
Melissa huffed. "Stupid idiot..." she murmured to Rachel. Rachel just nodded, her face in one of her textbooks.

(( For convenience's sake, and since no one apparently likes night time, Damien couldn't sleep and went down to the Quidditch pitch -w- ))
Damien climbed back through the portrait hole with a large yawn, his hair,T-shirt, and jeans dripping wet with his broom slung over his shoulder. The cold rain of the morning woke him up completely, though the flying against the harsh winds made his body exhausted.

"What were you doing up so early?" Chris asked Damien as a greeting, eyeing his dripping clothes with mild interest. Then she spotted his broom. "Oh, that makes sense," she said before he could answer her previous question.
Scilia asked, "You were flying at this time? Oh, and..." She waved her wand and his clothes and body instantly dried. "That should be better." She waved her wand again and his broom was back to being dry and perky.
Lace sighed and said, "Let's get breakfast, I'm starving. Hey, Damien," she added wearily, looking up to see Damien. Her stomach growled to make her point and she pointed at the portrait hole, trying to drag her friends, who were standing firm to talk to Damien, towards it unsucsessfully.
((So that he could do ballet, right, Foxy?))

"You should just see the field! It's so cool when it's raining, at least what I've seen so far. Like, the thing has sort of a charm or something that keeps rain off the sand, so it glows a bit," he reported, his smile back in place after the strange feeling of magic swept over to dry him off. "And thanks," he added, flashing Scilla his white teeth. He pulled his broom down from his shoulder and tossed it lightly across to his other hand, uncurling his fingers with a shudder. "It's kinda c- no, FREEZING out though," he said, sneezing lightly at the end with a shudder.
