An egg or popcorn can be cooked by using cell phones.

True or False?

Place an egg between two cell phones.
You would need 65 minutes to call one phone to the other.
Set it up like the picture:

Will this cook the egg?

Well, it could work. I'm thinking it could work because the radiation emitted by cell phones aren't too different from the radiation in microwaves. Unless I'm wrong....

would it be ok to say i dont think it would work, sure the radiation would have some effect.

also this now sounds like something i would try to do

No. Even though I have suffered annoying head aches from them I think it is more likely for the eggs to rot before they cook.

false.

Microwave radiation (supposedly emitted by the cell phones) would cause the egg to explode before it would be cooked. Don't believe me? Try it for yourself. Put an egg in the microwave and try to cook it. You'll see.

Also, if this were true, there would have been people needing treatment for such a thing happening to their brains LONG before now. Think about this... Cell phones have been around how long? Over a decade, for sure. If 65 minutes will cook an egg, imagine what would be done to a person's brain after using a cell phone (even just occasionally) over the course of TEN YEARS... wink

A nice topic, though.

but it has been said in the past that using cell phones "can" lead to brain cancer over time to that shows some effect. And thats just using one cell on the one side of the brain.

if you used two cell phones at the same time, that should incress the odds though, wouldnt it?

im not saying now that it would fry your brain or give you brain cancer in 65 minutes but it would have some effect.

now back to the egg, sure if you put the egg in the egg in the microwave it would blow in a short while

but with the slow radiation waves passing between two phones with an egg placed in the middle would have some effect, it might tale longer then 65 minutes to cook the egg and it might not taste the best but it could possibly work.

But i wouldnt recommend this as a way of cooking your breakfast

I like how they say it "can" lead to brain cancer, yet can't offer any scientific PROOF of such a thing actually occuring. Convenient? I think so.

Also, I have SEEN people who use two cell phones on a regular basis. Multitaskers who think that they have to be involved in two or more conversations simultaneously. They do this for several HOURS a day, every day of the week. A couple of them have been at it for months. Now, while my personal opinion is that there is something wrong with them that they would WANT TO DO SUCH A THING, there has been nomedical or scientific proof that there has been any damage done to their brains due to their actions.

And, I still don't believe that even two cell phones could produce enough radiation to cook an egg in 65 minutes. However, even if they could, it is still an unfair comparison. First of all, a human skull is several times thicker than an eggshell. Second, a human brain is not composed of the same materials as the yolk and albumen of an egg.

of course its an unfair comparison. and im sure that the egg itself cannot cook with the cell phones. but for the sake of an argument or debate im going to keep saying it is possible . the egg would still cook slowly yes but another fact is that the egg would be cold when it dose eventually cook.
