On the outskirts of Tohmi City, the city where Investigator Fate T. Harlaown started off her adventure, a girl named Ricotta had been walking in a winding forest. "At this rate, I'm never going to get back home." she said to herself, sighing loudly. Her necklace began to glow and a voice behind her said, "I recommend flying." It was her familiar, Akemi. Akemi was taking the form of a basic house cat, following after Ricotta's footsteps. Ricotta sighed again. "Akemi, as fun as that sounds, I'm not in the mood for flying." Akemi looked at her oddly. "Not in the mood?! We've been walking around this forest for nearly two hours and you're telling me that you're not in the mood?!" Ricotta's face flushed red. "Well.. I actually have a confession," she stopped walking and fumbled with her fingers, then put her hand on her purple pendant, which was actually her device, Eroberer, "It's not that I doubt Eroberer's capabilities or anything, it's just I haven't actually mastered my balance all that well.. And I'm afraid of heights." Akemi bursted out in laughter, that if he wasn't in animal form, he would be crying from so much laughter. "How do you even expect to become a Second Lieutenant if you can't even fly?!" Ricotta crossed her arms and stuck her nose up in the air, leaving Akemi. "Fine. I'll just walk back to the city by myself."

Ricotta's stomach grumbled loudly. "Agh! I want to go home. My stomach is grumbling, my feet are aching and I'm sick of walking around this blasted forest." Akemi sighed. "I'm telling you, you should fly! Just do it!" Ricotta looked at Akemi, looked at her pendant and then back at Akemi. "Fine. I'll fly. But if I get hurt, I'm blaming you for giving me the idea, Akemi."

"Gestell Durch, Vorbereitet: Orche Form." Eroberer said. (( Translation : Stand By, Ready: Orche Form. This might not be the correct way of saying in German, but hey, I tried. For Ricotta's clothing references, click here )) "Okay, hold on tight, Akemi." Akemi climbed up onto her shoulder and clenched his paws, and within seconds, they were in the air.

Within seconds of taking off, Akemi noticed a girl on the ground. He tugged on Ricotta's sleeve. "Ricotta, look! A girl!" Ricotta grumbled selfishly. Why should she waste her time sailing back down when she spent time flying? There was no point. Akemi bit her shoulder. "OUCH! Alright, sheesh. I'll go down there." She drifted down, and the indigo wings from her feet had slowly disappeared as she landed on the ground. She knelt down and tapped the girl a couple of times to check if she was alive.

Ricotta shook her head. 'She's totally out of it,' she thought, "I'm Ricotta. Private Ricotta Van der Built, actually. Rank B mage of the TSAB. Are you alright?" Akemi shook his head and whispered into Ricotta's ear, "Is it alright to give that much information away? I mean, we're only on the outskirts of Tohmi City. She may not know what you're talking about." Ricotta growled. "Akemi, please. This young girl has cat ears, and you're saying that she wouldn't understand what I'm talking about?"

Ricotta gave Mimi a puzzled look. 'She has a device? Yet, she has never heard of the TSAB or knows what a mage is? How is that even possible?' She shook her head, along with her train of thought and stumbled upon what to say next. "I'll explain later. This is Eroberer." she said, pointing to her device. (( Device reference here )) The purple jewel lit up, no response.

"Ricotta, we better get her back to town. She's starving!" Akemi exclaimed, frantically running around Mimi. Ricotta pulled Akemi by the tail and threw him up on her shoulder. "Please, Akemi, can you quiet down for a little bit?" she asked, picking Mimi up. Lavender wings appeared at her feet, and she took off once again, at a breakneck speed.

Ricotta looked at Mimi with another puzzled look. "You don't know how to fly?"
