Dalziel stared at the hiring sign outside thoughtfully and turned his attention away for just a moment to take note of the time of day.
Morning...Early.
"Naturally no one will be coming by for a while." He'd say to himself thoughtfully. The ash grey wings on his back twitched slightly as he thought to himself. The image of the inn instantly became interesting in the morning light and his ability to keep his hunger for photograph at bay died off just as fast.
"Just...One." He'd mumble to himself as he stepped back a few feet and lifted his camrea from the necklace-like string he had attached to it. His jacket would ruffle slightly as he lifted it. His focused stare would instantly find it's way through the view finder.
Soon the image of the inn would shrink just slightly as the glass became his eye, and his finger moved for the flash-button.
*Click.*
"Perfect." He'd say to himself with a grin," I deem thee, first picture of the inn ran by only Haibane." He'd say happily.
For good reason too...The Haibane of Hane Seidou had worked their butts off for this...The chance to run their own establishment. Sure it was their home, but it was in town and was to be low key. The human that ran it died months ago..and the communicator was going to replace the human...but apparently ran into trouble in doing so somehow.
Taking their chance they worked triple time at their jobs..and this was to be their reward. Though a human would still run the young feather care system...Which was actually fine with most of the senior feathers.
Those young feathers were a handful..
"Heh..Just you wait, Hane Seidou. You're gonna be in the new paper! Front page material!"

Aysu swept.
Broom in her dark hands, she listened to the sound the bristles made on the old, hardwood floor, light blue eyes half closed in daydreamed thought, a smile ever so gently curving her lips, expression peaceful, content.
She was about five six, with a slender form and delicate seeming build. A soft cloud of faintly rose scented dark wavy hair was left down, where it reached just past her shoulders, stopping about near where her wings grew from. Halo was lit and floated over her head without need of a holder. She had worn one for exactly one day, and then had not needed it anymore.
Aysu was about seventeen, maybe eighteen-and had been a Haibane for nearly two years now.
As she always did, Aysu made sure to tiptoe past the door that currently held a pod or more. She always worried about waking the occupants of pods too early, and they being unable to break out, having woken so soon.
Aysu had had mild trouble with her own pod. Perhaps this was why she worried.
Either way, she started to hum quietly to herself, a pleasant sound, as she reached the stairs again, lifting the broom up to hold the middle of the handle as she went down the stairs, long pale blue skirt fluttering around her ankles as Asyu moved to the closet to put away the broom.
She was happy too.

"..."
"..."
For about half a minute, the two Haibane stared silently at one another with blank looks on their faces.
"Uhm..." said one of them, a boy of roughly seventeen or eightteen. His short hair colored a sort of pale brown, which almost seemed to compliment the darker tone of brown one would find if they looked him in the eyes. He was "Want some help there?"
If this were all based on some sort of anime or something, one might have expected a good-sized sweatdrop from him as he picked himself up off the ground and made his way over to a girl who appeared to be of the same age as he, with her own full head of medium brown hair as well, and the eyes to match. A girl who certainly needs no introductions...
...Okay, fine. Her name's Rakka.
Sheesh...
"Oh, uh...Thank you," said Rakka as the boy helped her up. "I'm sorry about the crash. It wouldn't have happened if weren't in such a needless hurry."
The two had been in a bike crash at a street intersection near the edge of the town's main district. Quite Luckily for them, neither they nor their bikes were harmed. Also to their relief, nobody had been around to witness the event.
Almost as if some sort of guardian angel were-
...Ahem.
The boy smiled warmly. "I'm sorry too. I was also hurrying without good reason...Hane Seidou?"
Rakka blinked. "...Hm?"
"Hane Seidou...Is that your destination and reason of hurry, or am I making too big a stretch?"
"Oh...Yes, that's right. That's why I'm up so early. I usually don't rush, but I was just so excited..."
The boy chuckled. "Same with me...I'm Palec, by the way." (Pronounced Pal-ets.) "Nice to meet you." His infectious smile returned as he extended his hand, this time to shake Rakka's rather than to help her up from the ground.
Rakka returned the gesture, and also offered her own smile. "It's nice to meet you too. I'm Rakka."
