Welcome to the Three Broomsticks!
The Three Broomsticks, Hogsmeade's more well-known local pub, a place to sit out of the cold, and drink a warm butterbeer, or firewiskey, if that's your thing.
You walk into the Three Broomsticks, and grab one of the few empty tables left. You take a deep breath and finally begin to relax, it's been such a long, hot day. Madam Rosmerta stops by, and places your usual mead on the table for you. Suddenly a laugh in the corner gets your attention, and you notice that two elderly wizards are playing Chess. Why, you can beat them, your a wiz at Chess.

This one will be fun, but it does have the potential to be very confusing, so be careful. We will be playing each other in either Chess or Checkers! It's up to you! I have placed a blank board, as well as the starting board for both Chess and Checkers in the next post.
Step One: Choose your game
Step Two: Post your name, house, and game you want to play
Step Three: Print out a copy of a Blank Board. (Or save to your computer if you don't have a printer)
Step Four: Wait for someone to say they will play you.
Obviously, you don't want to follow those steps if someone is waiting to play the same game as you, just let them know you want to play.
This is where it gets confusing. You have your partner and your game board at the ready, now you need to start playing. The First person to post will be Red/White, and the second will be black. White/Red Goes first.
Let's say that I am playing chess, and I am white, it is my turn first, I will post saying "Knight B1 to C3" as my opening move, (With name and House Included), and make a note on my personal blank board in pencil. Then my partner will respond by posting "Pawn E7 to E5", and they will make a note of where I moved and they moved.
For checkers it will simply be "10 to 15" or "23 to 19"
Understand? If not, feel free to post questions.
To minimize confusion, keep quoting to no more than 2 quotes. Also, be absolutely sure that you are responding only to your own partner, and keep discussion with other players to PMs. If any confusion should come up about what moves were made, do not argue about it, try to work it out, if you can't contact me.
Rules and Points
Each move gets you 3 House Points. You can move as many times as you need to in a day, as long as your partner is also moving. The catch is, you can only play one game. Once you've won or lost, that's it, no more games. Be sure to include your Name and House in every post! No House=No House Points.
