So I was at Borders Bookstore the other day, skimming through the history section as I always do, and couldn't help but overhear a paranoid zealous liberal (as if there was anything else here in California). She was giving her friend the usual dribble about wiretapping; that it infringes upon our rights, Bush is trampling over the Constitution, and we're all losing our rights.
I was just more than amused.
Lately we heard about the rescue of Ingrid Betancourt, but the details will never surface in our mainstream media. It so happens that 'wiretapping' played a role in this operation with individuals in Miami. Intel was gathered for the eventual rescue.
Liberals will come up with their theories as they always do as to why the wiretapping is such a bad idea, but here is a perfect example of the government playing a role in doing a job effectively with the right tools. They don't sit around all day listening to you making pizza orders, like liberals will convince you they're doing.
