~*Introduction*~
Alright, I know many of you must be asking yourself many questions and one of them are probably:

What exactly are Dragons?

OR

How do I tame these things?

Simple, you never tame a Dragon, you simply earn it's trust by creating a welcoming environment. You also must believe in them.

In many cultures Dragons are reveared as being Beautiful and Strong mythical creatures, or malignant spirits that are out to just kill you. This is where i am going to just simply say: Don't always believe folklore. They could depict Black Dragons as wonderous creatures who will help you, but these are the kind to steer clear of at all costs. These will kill you without second thought.

Dragons are not always ones to show themselves to humans, they have been betrayed by so many of them that they find it hard to trust them after this. Luckily I have been able to call upon two Dragons that had kept me company since I was a small child. See, children that are open-minded and noncritical are usually able to see these magnificant beings, they tend to frolic around the astral plane, keeping to themselves or socializing with humans. IF they find you suitable to communicate with, they often dont use our language, althoguh they are able to use it. In my case, Mystic (one of the two Dragons) usually communicates with movements or a Draconic language, I hadnt known what she was saying (well writing) until i had gotten the book "Dancing with Dragons" by D.J. Conway. For those who have this book, the Draconic symbols are on Page 285. But, in most cases, people are not able to see their dragons after their ability is dubed as merely 'imagination' by the foolish adults who frown upon our magickal society. For me, I had to meditate for hours to unlock what the adults in my past had forcefully hidden from me. it wasnt an easy task, but it had to be done. If you have any shred of doubt or are closed-minded when it comes to using magick, you will fail horribly and will feel very uneasy. I have expieremented with this once before and had no belief in it, so, I felt
like something malevolent was chasing after me for one year. You have to believe in this for it to work.

-Nothing happens over night
-You might not be able to see the Dragons with your physical eyes right away (you will feel their presence, and once you've reached this point, you will most likely see flashes of light or beings in your peripheral vision. These are Dragons that are testing you, if you run and hide, they will not appear again until you prove yourself. But if you embrace them, they will next, most likely appear in your dreams. Then in your physical and concious life)

Hello!

I have always felt a strong connection with dragon energy... attracted to their weather magic, and also because I was born in 1988, the year of the dragon.
That, plus I store all of my emotion in my stomach, and I collect things that define who I am.
These are small things, but still... I suppose it's a start for someone who spends most of her time with herbs and dreams >.<

I just wanted to thank you for offering up what information you have. It is very nice. I especially enjoy the language.
D.J Conway is one of my favorite magical authors, and I've been wondering whether or not to get that book for a while... I might have to go find it now.

Hello Raven!

i am glad to see that you're a fan of dragons as well. Unfortunately i was born in the year of the sheep (1991) so yeah. But, i have felt a rather strong connection with dragons as a small child, this is the amazing part. During a recent power-outage in my neighborhood, i meditated off and on for that entire 13-16 hours of no power. I did spend at least 6 hours just sleeping because, well, i was magickally worn out, but anyways, a rather large but young dragon named Aodhagan discovered me in my room. This was the first time any of them have actualy shown me any part of their past.

But anyhow, i'm glad you like what i have shown you and actually, Keith, aka, lonely_soule, is teaching me how to use some forms of draconic strikes. It's helped alot because a guy tried to grab me from behind outside of my mother's work, i had gone out to the car to get my magickal supplies (like my book of shadows and both of my magickal type books books (draconic studies and earth studies) i remember it perfectly, it was a friend of mine, but i didnt know that due to the fact that he was behind me, he hooked his arms around my waist and pulled me in, i whipped around, brought my knee into his stomach and punched him with a tremendous amount of strength. He complained of a fire-like burning sensation where i had grabbed him after i had managed to strike him, i healed him of the symptoms, but of course, with me, everything happens progressively, but yea. I didnt think it'd have that much of an effect but i'm glad it did.

it is completely up to you to find that book, that is, if you want to. Dont feel obligated to go off and buy a book that i, myself, am reading again.

Yes, power outages are the best times to meditate or perform magick of any kind.
Sadly we don't have many blackouts where I live... but I'm a night owl so magick in the middle of the night when most people are asleep and most lights are off is always nice.

And it's amazing what you can do with the right help and will.

i know what you mean, i tend to do most of my meditation at night as it is. It's really calming when i have some sounds of nature playing. It's really awesome.

you're really lucky that you dont have power outages where you live, but anyhow, i find this to occur too much, people dont have the will to do anything or they never had the right help and so they tend to believe noone will aid them or even that magick doesnt exsist.

Anways i appologize for my sluggish post but i feel really tired right now.

To Amethyst:
No worries on sluggishness...

I actually kind of miss power outages. We used to have them all the time where I live in Michigan. It gave me an excuse to light all of my candles and antique oil lamps... we'd all get together around the dining room table and play cards by candle light, or I'd just paint, or write, or do something equally creative and magical. It's nice when you have a woodstove and you know you're not going to go cold.

Sometimes people just never grew up with the idea of anything more magical than what they were already doing. To have faith in something you can't readily see is either religious or crazy in our culture.

They did a study a while ago, showing that children who weren't read fantasy books when they were little, were lacking in some basic thought patterns that most people had for reasoning and problem solving. They lacked the imagination needed to see things through to a possible future. It's a magical ability that most people have, but one that they take for granted.
My baby books usually involved fairies, or animals, and here I am, years later, still talking with fairies and animals, loving nature, and working with herbs.

To get back to the point and topic.
I always believed in dragons, because no one told me they weren't real. Same goes for all other creatures of the mythical kingdom. Doubt is the strongest bane of Magick.

To Silver:
My mom's a rat. I love rats. They're one of the signs of passion (as am I) did I ever tell you that I used to have pet rats? For seven years. They were wonderful... people don't usually equate rat with friendly companion. But I used to take mine everywhere... I was known in town as the Rat Lady for years

*ninjas in to abuse powers and hugs sky tightly* hiya ^^ you like rats eh? razz *small kiss* sorry for editing the post, just wanted to be all sneeky

Just yesturday, i've taken on another teacher, one who is teaching me about the Draconic Religion. He's really helping me learn more about my lineage.
