There was a time when my family and I went up to Lake Michigan when we used to live up there and we decided to go fishing. It was my first time ever going and I was excited as ever. The first thing I caught was a snapping turtle, and I thought it was dead because it wasn't moving so I stuck my finger in the hole and then it bit me! It was the scariest thing ever because it wouldn't come off! haha i just thought this would be a funny story to share with you guys..

The one that bit me was only an inch and a half long, so I had fun with the little thing!!! That and two 6 inchers in Louisiana *can't remember how to spell it today*

^^ I remember an acquaintance catching a snapping turtle. He said he cleaned it up because it was in the bayou. He died the day he showed us though. I guess it was his time to go? D'x
Also I remember a lot time ago I found a turtle in the neighbors pools when we were there. They caught him and put him in a bucket once I told them there was something in the pool. Once he was in the bucket I stuck my finger in the bucket and quickly pulled it out whenever he tried to bite it. I did that over and over with success. Until my sister wanted to do the same thing. I let her try, I was 4-6 at the time, I didn't know any better. :/ She stuck her finger in there once and got bit. >< My fault I guess.

Catching a turtle can be a fisherman's nightmare. Unlike fish you can't lip them and put them in a paralyzes state. So they fight and will be a hassle to get that hook out. I have had to deal with this before and it's a pain. Thanks to pliers i could get the job done. All released survived. The only thing worse then a snapping turtle is a muskrat. Glad i have no muskrat experiences.
