Post all information about the 21 sacraments here:
"The First Sign
And God said, At the time of fullness, cleanse the world with my rage. Gather forth the White Oil, the Black Cup and the Blood of the Ten Sinners. Prepare for the Ritual of the Holy Assumption."
basically we can look at the first sign, which explains to us WHY Walter cut out the hearts of the first 10 victims *Ten Sinners*. The White Oil, Black Cup are both items similar to what is needed in Silent Hill 2 *white chrism, obisidian gauntlet, Book of Lost Memories, Book of Crimson Ceremony*
"The Second Sign
And God said, Offer the Blood of the Ten Sinners and the White Oil.
Be then released from the bonds of the flesh, and gain the Power of Heaven. From the Darkness and Void, bring forth Gloom, and gird thyself with Despair for the Giver of Wisdom."
This explains WHY Walter was alive after he killed himself. He knew he had already offered the blood of the Ten Sinners, so he was released from using a REAL body, and the reference of Power of Heaven leads us to believe he is just a spirit with strong physical form. The Giver of Wisdom was Joseph Schreiber *the 15th sacrament*.
"The Third Sign
And God said, Return to the Source through sin's Temptation. Under the Watchful eye of the demon, wander alone in the formless Chaos. Only then will the Four Atonements be in alignment."
I haven't learned about the third sign yet.
"The Last Sign
And God said, separate from the flesh too, she who is the Mother Reborn and he who is the Receiver of Wisdom. If this be done, by the Mystery of the 21 Sacraments, the Mother shall be reborn and the Nation of Sin shall be redeemed."
This explains why Henry "the Reciever of Wisdom" and Eileen "Mother Reborn" are in a room with a giant metallic blender so to speak. "to seperate from the flesh". It says if both are done, then the nation of sin shall be redeemed, thus finally revealing "if you havent figured out by now" it is refering to the awakening of the devil.

I have a theory about the 4 atonements. I noticed that in Silent Hill 4 (though i didn't get far) there are 4 plaques you can get. There is 1 before you see Cynthia sprawled on teh floor in the subway. 1 before you see Jeremy (or whatever his name is) being burned alive. 1 in the water prison world before you see that guy dead after seeing little walter. Finally, there is 1 before you see Richard Braintree's death. I believe that these for victims could be the "Four Atonements" mentioned.
Im not quite sure i remember what the plaques are but i could do a bit more reasearch.

My friend you're a genius, you helped my unlock the last part of it by reminding me of something!
The Temptation Placard - Cynthia Velasquez is the Victim labeled Temptation.
The Source Placard - Jasper Gein is the Victim labeled Source.
The Watchfulness Placard - Andrew DeSalvo is the Victim labeled Watchfulness.
The Chaos Placard - Richard Braintree was the victim labeled Chaos.
You then take the 4 Placards and place them on the wall, where they then are in atonement and open the way for you to get to the hospital!
Now people can finally completely understand the 21 sacraments!

Oh and Joseph (the guy who lived in 302 before Henry) was Despair. "Gird thyself Despair for the Receiver of Wisdom". Joseph had to be killed so Henry could move into his apartment, right? If Joseph hadn't been killed then Henry wouldn't move into the apartment so Walter would never be able to complete his 21 Sacrements and he would never get ahold of Eileen.

You make some good points, but read the phrase "Gird thyself with Despair for the Giver of wisdom". "gird thyself with despair FOR the giver of wisdom". Basically translating to "bestow despair on the giver of wisdom". Which he did, because Walter locked him in, just like he locked Henry in. Then he made Joseph face the despairing events of the hellish world we call Silent Hill, just to die. Joseph was the Giver of Wisdom because he gave everything he knew to Henry through notes. Henry was the Receiver of wisdom because he is the one who learned everything about the sacraments and what was truly going on. But you were right, its amazing how the sacraments work themselves out.

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At the beginning of Silent Hill 4, you wake up in a blood covered version of Room 302. I always thought it was Henry who you wake up as, but after reading some of the examination messages like:
"What is all this dusty stuff? None of it's mine..."
"Where did this big Tv come from? I thought I had a record player here..."
*looks at radio* "I don't even know what that is...."
That's not stuff Henry would say about his OWN things. But notice when you wake up later as Henry, all of that stuff is still there, and he KNOWS he put it there and what all of it is. I've come to realize that you DON'T wake up as Henry in a bloody 302. You ACTUALLY wake up as Joseph Schreiber before he died. This also finally explains his death which has been a mystery until now, because as you saw, a ghost comes out of the wall and approaches your screen, lending us to know that Joseph more or less died by a ghost *he was locked in his room and u can't kill ghosts..... what else is there to assume he died by?*
Also, that tells you the nightmare Henry had when he wakes up AGAIN after the credits, is really a nightmare of Joseph's perspective of waking up in a blood and rust covered version of 302 with all of Henry's items in place, instead of Josephs. Then proceeding to show his *what i assume* lead on to a death scene.

After walking around the room, I discovered a picture of Henry Townshend on the wall, and when examined it says "Who is this guy?" Definite proof you are in Joseph Schreiber's perspective before his *assumed* death.

When you look out of your door's peep hole for the first time, you will notice hand prints on the wall. Some people are too ignorant or in a hurry to notice there are 15 Bloody handprints on the wall *15 sacraments*. For every person that dies here-after a handprint is added. Just a fun fact for all of you in relation to the 21 sacraments.
