Who has written a song before?
What type of songs do you write?
What do you write? (eg, just lyrics, tune, guitar part etc)
What do you write about or where do u find inspiration?

Well I have written lyrics and tunes for a few songs because some friends and I formed a "band" mostly for fun, but I would like to perform some gigs if possible. I sing for the band but still need to build up more confidence.
I write about a lot of things like Global Warming, boys, girls, insanity, loneliness, stress, ppl I hate, depressing ppl, why I broke up with a person... etc. I write when I have feeling to express, a reason to explain or a topic I want to explore. I usually aim for emo/indie/melodic rock type of songs but when the guys add their musical parts I do not know how it'll turn out; so far it's just lyrics and tunes due to lack of time to meet up and practice.

I found out I failed my favourite subject tonight and I'm so annoyed because
a) I know it SO much better than the ones I passed
b) There were only 3 assessments meaning random chance has a big bias on results (which is why I believe I failed)
c) My mother will give her "I don't support you through uni just to have you fail" speech and she'll bring it up every time I try to go out in future or am not studying etc. and I will never live it down.
d) I've never failed subject ever before so this really canes
Anyways... I wrote a song about how she pressures me and tries to stop me from ruining my life but it is mine to make mistakes and learn from them, you know?

I haven't written a song in ages... but I tend to be better at writing about personal experiences, rather than a broad issue; I generally feel uncomfortable about attempting to, unless the issue has some sort of personal relevance - ie. I could maybe write something about religion, but not politics.

i take songs and make them about farting ihave a habit of doing that now and it drives my kids nuts but they love it

yeshyesh I could maybe write something about religion, but not politics. OMG! You SO shd!!! Get you out of your dry spell!!! Melisciose22 i take songs and make them about farting ihave a habit of doing that now and it drives my kids nuts but they love it

I have been writing a lot of music for a few years now with my band and usually I write fun songs with parties and girls and stuff lol or I write serious songs about relationships and murders and all those tough things. I just kinda let it flow out in a way.

Blink 182 is my band's biggest influence. We just kinda play what comes to mind and we like the faster and crazier side of music I guess.

Sounds awesome!
My "band" is ecclectic. The bois like to play swing/rock/funk etc. The keyboardist loves video game music and jingles!
I write and sing... well for lack of a better word emo. But I try to make it not stereotypical emo. Like I try for darker lyrics sometimes, a range of topics, some humour, happy songs etc.
