Baron Humbert von Gikkingen sat in his armchair and read. Tea was steaming gently next to him, and the radio played classical music, whcih wafted through the house, filling it with ambience that matched the well-kept abode itself, neat and elegant, with an occasional hint of mystery or energy. The Baron had to admit, he had been lucky. The fact that the human who he lived with even had a dollhouse this size to start with was wonderful chance, and that she was so willing to help him equip all the modern conveniences he needed was also excellent good fortune. But he had to admit, he was restless. The only member of his petite household who had been busy recently was Miss Sophie, because of her young fellow Simon. He was chafing. Was he becoming dull? He hadn't been interested in problems, mysteries, or adventure at all recently. Nothing seemed to happen here.

Maybe he was going tame.
