I am trying my best to surpass Rasulullah(peace be upon him). I am saying that I am trying to be better than Rasulullah(peace be upon him) in morality. I know that no humans can be better than him(peace be upon him) but I feel like I want to race with him(peace be upon him).Is it sinful because of disrespect?Or is it a good deed because we are going towards a brighter future.(applied to economy)

I would thinks so. I mean, that guy is suppose to be like the biggest religous human person you look after right? I would think it would be blasphemous to try outdoing him. It's like the same thing when people try to be jesus in catholicism, you know?

i guess!!
that first remove the concept of that!! i mean racing with Rasululahh (peace be upon him)
first try to do what he does, practice his teachings!!
when you are able to practice his all teachings then you should come here and ask if you want to race from there or from here!!

LoGa Knight Again,it is as motivation.Practicing his teachings should be daily to us all. yes it should be but if one is not even able to practice his teaching every day then how you can think that you want to race HIM!! like you can not "perfectly" practice His teachings since every body does some mistakes!!

Yes. You're making it a goal to surpass the greatest prophet that ever lived. Solely for that reason. Your real objective should just be to be a good human being, overall.

Again I say, it is motivation. I KNOW that I am never going to surpass him. It is AS MOTIVATION. Being a good human being is never enough. Did you know that in a thousand of Muslims, only one gets into Heaven. Perfection cannot be achieved. Only Allah is perfect so please do not use that word to describe a human. I did not say that I am perfect. I said I practice his teachings daily. I never said anything about perfection. Please read carefully and understand what people are saying.

I second what you have said. The Holy Prophet (saw) was the perfect Muslim in every respect. As Muslims it is our duty to follow the teachings of the Holy Prophet (saw) and make our hearts, our minds, and our souls pure. This can only be done by following the sunnah of the Holy Prophet (saw) and by not being hypocrites. The question of competing with the Holy Prophet (saw) should be lost out of your mind. No one can compete with the Holy Prophet (saw). It is stated by Allah in the Holy Qur'an that he was even better than all the Prophet's who had come before him and then passed away. It is also narrated that among the levels of heaven the Holy Prophet (saw) is at the highest level......the closest to God.......and all the other level of heaven are split from the highest one because between them there is the Sidra-tul-Muntaha.
