Okay well I have these 17 year old cousins. They are really nice, and they look awfully beautifully. They have cell phones and separate laptops. However, they wear jeans and shirts outside the house in a somewhat fashionably manner and prefer not to wear the shalwar kameez. They don't pray to God, they listen to music, talk to alot of boys when they shouldn't be, and all that basic non-Muslim stuff in America. They don't do most things that are haram like eating of pork or drinking of alcohol, but still, they need to quit the habits like I mentioned above. How can they be convinced? Sunday Schools aren't good around my area so yeah. They had started to curse words nowadays as well.
Note: MUSIC, talking to boys especially the older ones are haram. They are quite frank with boys
What can I do? They shouldn't horseplay like this. It really annoys me. Please advise me in a best positive manner.

Assalamualaikum.
First step, pray that they are guided by Allah. Second step, try to convince them to stop doing things as stated.(being with non-mahram men are haraam as well as guys being with non-mahram women.Music are not haraam unless they can rise lust or are satan worshiping. They must cover their aurat.Cussing are sinful) Third step, report this to their parents. Fourth step, tell them of the punishments Allah had made for people who disobey His orders. Fifth step, ask them to marry or fast. If none of them succeeds, please inform me.There's more ways.

Well ultimately the parents need to be more responsible here. Have they even tried to talk to their kids about this? You can do your best to explain to them what is right, but only the parents have the means to take control.

Well I am assuming based on the rap I have heard before, but I can't imagine it being anything decent.

Well I am assuming based on the rap I have heard before, but I can't imagine it being anything decent. Generally all music is haram. Especially songs about romance and love. Also, all music has instruments played and instruments are considered haram as well. The Prophet (Peace be upon him) has once said, "I was sent to destroy these musical instruments." Generally if the song is good but no music is played behind, then its considered halal and in Allah's favour.

I would check about that soon. Perhaps, music is haraam.Perhaps not.I will see to it about this problem. And accept the consequences. Hmm,if so,does that mean that what the Raihan did are haraam, that is nasyid?Singing and praising Allah at the same time?
