Surah Humazah (Fully in English)
In the name of Allah, the most Beneficial, the most Merciful, the most Kind
Woe to every slanderer, back biter
Who gathers wealth and counts it again and again
Does he think that his wealth will remain with him forever?
By no means! He will be thrown into the crushing place
And may I explain to you where the crushing place is?
It is the fire, kindled by Allah
Which shall rise upto the hearts
And be enveloped into tall columns

Pheonixia do you have a reason for posting this? Not really.. But I thought I'd write this for people who are backbiting these days... I mean, even though good muslims never backbite, SOME Muslims do. I can say some of my mom's friend's daughters, and some other people I will not mention. razz

Funny Yummy Cupcake Pheonixia do you have a reason for posting this? Not really.. But I thought I'd write this for people who are backbiting these days... I mean, even though good muslims never backbite, SOME Muslims do. I can say some of my mom's friend's daughters, and some other people I will not mention. razz Oh.....then you should change the title. Unfortunately it is said......that the majority of people in hell will be women because they backbite. But, this could be changed.

But, this could be changed. no i dun think so that is true!! being a male!! i know how much backbiting my friends do!! and they are male as well!! it has become so common that people don't even think it being a bad thing!! Yes I know that guys do it too. But, that is what the Holy Prophet (saw) has said. Why? Because men cannot backbite all the time, they have to work to make money for their families, whereas women are free to do what ever they want all day. Women spend most of their time on the phone with other women gossiping and backbiting. (That does not mean that all women are like this) And I know it is that common.....but it is still a sin.

Sometimes I think it's even natural. I do it unconciously. BUt we should try hard not to do it.
