[Aerial Battle? Looking for someone? Been blasted into the air by an overpowered landmine? Then you're probably here - several thousand feet above Mahora.]

User Image[Cassandra flies up from the base of the World Tree]

Cassandra looked around down at the people below. She could barely make them out - they were so small from up here, like ants. "Pathetic beings! Bow before me!"" She demanded, her voice still echoing with the gruff roar-like words of Grundy. She grabbed her needle in her right hand, ready to harpoon anyone who dared attack her. She noticed that her vision began to get a slightly reddish mist around the edges, but she didn't care at this point. This was power. She looked for a ripe target, and found herself staring smack at the Cathedral. "Perfect..."

Flapping over to the airzone above the Cathedral, Cassandra shook her head. "Pathetic humans. Clinging to life, trying to come up with explanations to what you need not know." She held her left hand out towards the Cathedral, palm facing it. "Böse Geister, offensichtliche! ENTROPISCHE FLAMME!" Cassandra's eyes widened as the flesh began to burn off of her arm, leaving only the bones beneath. Then she realized - it didn't hurt. It was good. Her own flesh was being flayed off to increase the potency of her magic. With a final flash, a blast of green flame seared down her arm, smashing into the Cathedral roof, setting it alight. "Burn them all!" Cassandra said, breaking into insane laughter.

[Enters with Akari on Ichiro's Broom.]
The hypnotized Ichiro and Akari flew on the broom, Ichiro looked below her and saw the Strip Mall"I see Negi with some others."She told Akari. Looking over she saw Cassandra, but didn't go near her,"Let's go get Negi."She told Akari as she slowly flew down to the Strip Mall.
[They both exit and fly down to the Strip Mall.]

[Enters with Ichiro]

This was Akari's first time on a broom...which is understandable because she just found out about magic. Her stomach was feeling sick...again for the hundredth time. She saw Cassandra, her mouth dropping a bit at the sight. Though soon also saw Negi and her attention was brought back to him, with a strong desire to kill.

Cassandra had noticed the pair flying through the air - but she didn't care. She was enjoying the fires that were spreading along the church roof. "Burn! Burn them all!" She cupped a hand around her mouth, roaring down towards the cathedral. "Where is your 'God' now?!" She yelled. She was far too high up for anyone to have heard her - but she had always wanted to say that. What to do now, though? There was nobody around to challenge... She was too far from the ground to summon up any undead. She felt like the World of Warcraft player who had finally grinded their character up to level 70 and equipped them with the best possible gear. Where do you go after you reach the top?

It's simple.

You burn things.

She closed her eyes and giggled to herself, as she turned around in mid-air, pointing with her now skeletal hand. "Eeny, meeny, miney, mo. Cut off an infected toe; if patient screams - stab in face - eeny meeny miney mace!" She looked towards the station. "Hmm... A train. Hundreds of victims all trapped in a confined space..." She pondered this idea. She didn't want to appear to be too cheap now, did she?

[Satomi flies above coming from the streets and sidewalks below.]

User ImageAs Satomi took flight and she cut through the skies with rapid speed, she began to feel her hands shaking a bit. She still couldn't believe what she was doing, deciding to take on this menacing creature alone. But who could help? It was not like anyone else had the ability to fly like this, at least, no one to her knowledge anyway. And after all, she was only human, she wasn't like Regan, Driviline, Sosuke, or Chao, she wasn't as strong as them... But she did have something, she had the mind of a pure genius, and she could strategize something on the spot, in fact she already had a plan of attack once she entered the fray, so it was too late by now, she couldn't just be afraid and try to back down. She knew what she had to do and she was ready

Holding her stake-launching crossbow tightly in her grip as the mechanical wings caused her to ascend further like a blue blur streaking through the sky, she felt reassured, a determined look on her face as she finally reached the height of this creature, who she began to get closer to. As she did she was slowly able to make out it’s features, surprised to see it was a humanoid with wings, still she got closer though, a strange gut feeling building up in her, like she already knew the answer of who it was. But what she saw though was definitely not something she would have ever expected....

"C-Cassie?" Or at least, it looked like her, but she was... she looked like a mutant, wings were sprouting from her back, her entire left arm from the elbow down was nothing but bones, and the maniacal look on her face was nothing like the girl she knew. But there was no mistaking this, it had to be her. Trying to keep herself from backing down now, not wanting this surprise to cause her to be taken off guard, she raised the 'Stake-Delight' crossbow, pointing it in her direction before speaking. "If you don't stop this right now, I'm taking you down!" Having to yell since there was a safe distance of about 150 feet between the two, Satomi sounded determined, trying to gather and maintain all the courage she had as she kept her weapon aimed towards Cassandra and she told herself over and over again that she had to stay brave, and there was no turning back now.

(Sorry no picture form me..... since I don't have the drawing program back yet.)
A big dragon made of ice emerged out of Driviline's Ice Castle and took to the sky with a mighty roar. It then let out a wave of blue fire over a few areas that Cassandra had set ablaze. After its blue fire went over, the area was completely frozen and it looked like Hell Frozen over. It continued to fly around roaring madly as it flew randomly around. At this point a small crest that matches the one ontop of Driviline's castle could be seen on the dragon's forhead.

Cassandra looked towards Satomi, the maniacal smile on her face twisting to a full evil grin. Her fangs, though never usually hidden, were longer than normal, and plain to see. She sighed and shook her head in mock desperation. "Oh noes. Little Cassie is actually the great Doctor Byrde." Her voice still had an echo of Grundy's. She folded her arms and shook her head. She didn't expect Satomi to recognize the name - after all, she was only a human. She flew slowly in Satomi's direction, sniffing that air. "Oh my... Do I smell fear?" She didn't seem the least bit bothered about Satomi's weapon. She'd seen more intimidating-looking weapons - after all, she made Grundy.

She held up her skeletal arm, flexing her fingers to make a clattering noise vaguely reminiscent of the ones Xenon had been making. She looked towards her arm with a smile on her face. Slowly, a series of pulsating tubes began to spread down the arm, followed by flesh. It was regenerating itself. "Magnificent, isn't it? It burns the flesh clean off my arm, and enhances my power tenfold." She grinned as she held her needle like a dart, pointing it towards Satomi with a twisted smirk, pointing at her goggles. "So, tell me, Vegeta. What does the scouter say about my power level?"

[I was determined to get Cassandra to say that at some point - and Satomi's goggles was a chance I couldn't resist]

((Nice xD ))
Satomi gritted her teeth at Cassie's... or rather, Doctor Byrde's comment, trying to shake off any fear and hesitance she had over this situation. It was too late to back down now anyway, and she wasn't going to let this thing underestimate her. "Magnificent?" She cringed slightly, not at seeing the distorting and rapidly growing flesh, but just as Cassandra altogether. "No, just repulsive. Your existence itself is illegal." Satomi stated firmly, trying to prove her wrong about their being any fear, after all, she didn't come here without a reason.

Fortunately the fires were being dealt with too, and although once again what she was seeing defied all scientific reasoning, she had begun to notice that today alone, that was happening quite a bit. So she wasn't going to bother letting her curiosity get the best of her, after all, she had an opponent to keep herself focused on

Not even deciding to waste time talking to this 'thing', Satomi raised her weapon, not even seeming to need to take her time to aim as she pulled the trigger. As she did, the black, wooden stake was sent soaring through the air at a deadly speed, cutting through the sky like an eagle, ready to make it's vicious impact towards Cassandra's chest. The speed alone was incredible, nearly reaching four hundred miles per hour. But Satomi still wasn't sure just how quick this creature could travel and whether or not it could dodge her sneak attack.

The stake plunged deep into Cassandra's chest, and her eyes shot open for a moment, her mouth agape as she spat out a not insignificant amount of dark red blood. However, her expression soon changed from pain to anger, then to minor annoyance, as she pulled it out of her chest with her now complete left arm. "Now, you see, if you'd fired maybe..." she paused as she ran some numbers through her head. "Perhaps five of those, in a space of half a second - then you might have done some permanent damage." She plunged her needle into her chest, pulling it through the wound, out the other side. She made three long stitches across the wound, and just like magic, it completely healed up. There was no mark of any damage ever being present, except from a gaping hole in her polo shirt.

She prodded the healed skin to check the job was a good one, and then turned her attention to Satomi. "That was rather uncalled for, don't you think? I mean, I haven't hurt you... yet." She didn't care about Satomi's comments. What Satomi thought of her was none of her concern. Satomi was simply a human. "You seem rather intelligent. So tell me this. Since when did a smart person fly in the middle of a storm with two huge pieces of metal strapped to their back?" She shut her eyes and muttered to herself. "Böse Geister, offensichtliche... entropische Orb von Strom!" Once again, the skin on her arm was seared off - this time it sort of exploded off, rather than burning off. The pain was good. An orb of purple and green lightning gathered in Cassandra's clenched skeletal fist. "It's not too late for you to leave with the correct number of limbs." She noticed the red mist at the edge of her eyes beginning to brighten a bit, but ignored it.

For a moment, Satomi gave a grin in victory, seeing the damage she had done. 'Seven shots left' She though, knowing she had one extra clip for a total of fifteen, but she would have to reload in between. Judging by how the shot hit though, she doubted she would even need to finish off the first before this creature fell. At least, these were her calculations, that all changed in a heartbeat when she saw Cassandra simply remove the stake from her chest and told her that it wasn't enough. But... a single shot to the heart of a vampire was all it took, right?? This wasn't right, despite the wings, she had the clear features of a vampire, but perhaps that wasn't the case, she must have been different.

Satomi maintained her calm and determined courage though, not letting this little problem bring her down. For all she knew, the creature could be lying, that and she had other tools to use against her still. "You haven't hurt me, but what about those people down there?!" She shouted out, referring to the church that was now nearly frozen over thanks to the strange ice dragon that seemed connected to that castle in some way.

Then Satomi ended up having an ego issue when Cassandra told her how foolish it was to fly into a storm, and she let herself get distracted when she tried to point out the creature's mistake. Her tone changing to one of pride as she smiled, feeling like for a moment she was standing before someone inferior in knowledge like she always was, she gave a brief explanation of why Cassandra was wrong, but at the same time, she left herself open... "Not true though. You see, like in most storms, that's a cumulonimbus cloud, the second most common for storms. The lightnings initial bipolar discharge and path of ionized air only will strike solid ground." Accidentally flaunting her intelligence in the midst of battle, Satomi had gotten herself a bit distracted, her intelligence also seeming to be a weakness of hers before she focused herself back on the battle, the next thing she noticed being that Cassandra was already starting up an attack of her own.

Seeking a quick escape, or rather, a distraction, she held the rifle in one hand, and quickly removed a button from her strange outfit with another. Squeezing it in her fist and then throwing it, the large golden button erupted in a plume of smoke, spreading out in midair over a thirty foot radius, giving Satomi a shroud to hide in. And yet, with the lens she had, she still could pick up the heat signatures through the smoke with her 'Bird-eye' lens after she threw the 'panic-button', allowing her to take aim and fire through the shroud of smoke. Of course, with this weather the smoke wouldn't last long, but it was enough to keep her hidden for maybe ten or fifteen seconds at the most.

Even if she was told it was useless, she wasn't going to give up so easily.

The ice dragon fly up behind Satomi letting itself be stuck by lightning. The lightning could be seen dancing around inside the dragon. It's eyes just looked at Cassandra as it flew just abover Satomi, waiting for a reason to attack. As it waited, a powerful ice charge started to form in its mouth. The electrisity form the lightning started to form around this charge as well.

Cassandra simply frowned at this cowardly display. Hiding in a cloud of smoke is one of the oldest tricks in the book, and it was never honorable at the best of times. However, she didn't have to worry about detection from Satomi's device - she gave off no heat. The lightning did, but she didn't. She unclenched her fist, and the ball of lightning hovered in mid-air, not moving, as if it was frozen in time - except it still crackled like lightning. She cared little about the dragon. 'Oh wow, a dragon. Yawntacular. So original. Why don't they just send me on a delivery quest for a lazy NPC while they're at it?' When you'd been alive as long as she had and seen the things she'd seen, a dragon was hardly impressive.

Flying around the cloud of smoke, Cassandra intended on using Satomi's own tactic against her. Throwing her needle into the cloud - thread attached - she made it fly in circles around the cloud. If the circle didn't include Satomi, no harm done. If it did, it'd either tie her up, blind her, maybe choke her - all depending on whereabouts the loop tied onto her. Of course, this wasn't ordinary thread - it'd take a hell of a lot more than a pair of scissors to cut this stuff. "You don't have to die here." Cassandra yelled into the cloud, despite the fact she was laughing evilly. "You could donate a body part and save yourself." At this point, she wasn't even sure if she'd agree to such a deal herself - body parts can be just as easily taken from dead bodies as live ones.
