Reading through much of this guild, I have noticed that much about books has been mentioned. The one "book" every witch, or magick user should have is a Grimoire. Most people think that a Grimoire is like a journal that must be hand writen, but on the contrary, just as once we drew pictures on stone walls to call for animals to hunt, now we spend much time on the computer. I have been lucky enough to stumble across a teacher that was a Technowitch, or a witch that soley used technology such as computers, to do all their magick, and She showed me that a computer Grimoire is just as effective, if not safer, then a paper grimoire. The reason I say safer is not because its a file on your computer, but because if you use the right tools, it's password protected, can be encrypted, and can be accessed anywhere you can access the internet. I myself use Google Documents for mine. The key for any grimoire, when you are writing (or in my case typing it) is to treat it like a living thing. Impart energy into your words, meditate on them, and keep in mind that they are YOUR creation. For every spell you cast, every dream you dream, every want or desire, there can be a place for those in your grimoire. Keeping a record of spells and how effective they were, how long they took, and whether you got the desired effect can be useful later if you need a similar spell. You can find what worked best for you with out having to dig through your memories. A grimoire is perfect for putting your wants and desires, because you can create the spells or potions you want for such things. You can put these down in your grimoire for later use, or to find the Perfect spell for it.
