Plot:

There are vampires, humans, and dhampires (aka half vamps). Vampires want to control the world and are creating their own council to do it. Humans want to kill the vampires. And the poor Dhampires get stuck in between.

It is present day time taking place in... New York~

Where they stand...

Vampires, for the most part, are hiding in the shadows of night. Some vampires are building silent armies of night attackers to convert humans to vampires and steel gold to buy weapons and research

Humans have taken notice of the vampires attacks and have been starting searches to take out vampires, killing many innocents in the process.

Dhampires are stuck in the middle of the fight and usually take sides. Vampires and humans look down upon dhampires for the most part because of their blood, therefore, a group of them have created a shelter within New York for the abandoned half breeds.

Races:

There are three and only three!

((Why? Because it gets complicated when angels, demons, nekos, warewolfs, elves, sprites, ect... get mixed up with vampires with the question of weather they can get changed into vampires or not.))

So here they are:

Vampires: Evolved species of humans who are immortal and have blood lusts. Vampires have supernatural abilities and one special gift but have one downfall for each gift. (for example, one may be able to turn into animals but can't walk in the sun while a different vampire may have the power to control fire but will faint at the sight of garlic or a cross.) Vampires's goal is to take over the world from the humans who have been looking down on them.

Dhampirs: Half Vampires/ half human. They possess supernatural abilities and are immortal, as are vampires, but they do not possess the 'gift'/'downfall'. Dhampires are usually on either side of the battle fence and usually get stuck in the middle.

Humans: Mortal creatures who have normal abilities and no 'gift'/'downfall'. Humans are trying to defend themselves against the vampires because they have been hunting vampires and dhampires, trying to kill them off for years.

Bio:Alex is a very old Vampire he was brought into the immortal world some time in the 18th century he has no regrets of the people he has had to drain but he has felt their loss he tries not to over do it but the temptation is hard

Downfall:he can only read them as long as they don't know he is there they can shut them out if they notice he is poking through their minds
Personality:Alex tries to be nice but he sometimes has a bad temper he is easy going but very loyal to his allies

Bio: After being a vampire for nearly 3 centuries, she herself has forgotten ever being human. She once lived peacefully among the humans until one she was particularly close to betrayed her and she was forced to kill him. Now she lives each day with a spiteful attitude towards humans and is distrusting towards everyone she meets.
Gift: Ability to become invisible at will
Downfall: Becomes completely blind during the hours between sunrise and sunset, forcing her to hide
Personality: Generally calm and quite, but has her random quirks and is frequently sarcastic
Other: Contrary to what happened in her past, she keeps a locket around her neck with a dried flower inside that was given to her by the human she once trusted but was forced to kill. Even she doesn't understand why she keeps it.

Bio: after living a life without worth for 600 years, kezia met a dhampire she didnt want to kill. she came to fall in love with this dhampire. as a punishment from her clan they killed her one true love and left her in the darkness alone without anyone to turn to. after that horrible incident kezia came to hate all vampires and began to stalk and kill all the vampires she saw.
Gift: with her monk staff she gets power from the black god
Downfall: the more time she spends in the sun the more power she looses and she hates sucking blood so her healing rate is slow, flashbacks from the past
Personality: loves everything cute and cuddly, also loves to eat sweets (to her it tastes better than blood, but she still has to drink it to prevent loosing her life) is afraid of the dark
Other: her only memories before becoming a vampire was being locked up in wet icky cell

Other: She will never admit it because of her fearsome reputation, but she likes sweets, flowers, and girly things, and has a weakness for buys.

Personality:Very depressed and sad, afraid of contact and all people. He thinks he must survive on his own but doesnt like hurting people.
