She made her debut in the BEMANI line of music simulation video games from KONAMI, including Dance Dance Revolution, as a second generation member of BeForU. She would graduate from BeForU on December 30, 2007 to pursue a solo career. Although she has released no solo works yet, she was added on June 29, 2008 along with Yoma and Arisawa Miharu (Both also former BeForU members who retired) to Konami's website as a soloist, confirming that a solo career is in the works. Risa Sotohana will have a song released in the Pinkbeatz Megapack along with Nao's solo and AYA's album "Super Virgin"
