COLOSSIANS 2:16-19

"So don't let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating certain holy days or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths. For these rules are only shadows of the reality yet to come. And Christ himself is that reality. Don't let anyone condemn you by insisting on pious self-denial or the worship of angels*, saying they have had visions about these things. Their sinful minds have made them proud, and they are not connected to Christ, the head of the body."

2:18 is also written "or worshiping with angels".

And the KJV version for comparison:

KJV version:
2:16
Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
2:17
Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
2:18
Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humiliation and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
2:19
And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.

To me this means: Don't let the pettiness of others bother you when they criticize that you are doing what you think is right by the church or God.

James 2:17

"So you see, faith by itself isn't enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless."

For me, Colossians 2:16-19 is speaking against legality.

And James 2:17: Christ is our example. By deviating from that example we do not truly follow Christ. Profess your faith in the Messiah all you want, but if you are a hateful, evil person, your faith is meaningless. It speaks strongly against hypocrites in my opinion.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

"Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance."

Isaiah 41:10

Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

REVELATION 5:13-14

And then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea. They sang: "Blessings and honor and glory and power belong to the one sitting on the throne and to the Lamb forever and ever." And the four living beings said, "Amen!" And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped the Lamb.

THIS IS TRUE! YES AMEN! FOREVER AND EVER GOD'S GLORY PREVAILS!

1 Samuel 17:45-47

David replied to the Philistine, "You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of Heaven's Armies--the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. Today the Lord will conquer you, and I will kill you and cut off your head. And then I will give the dead bodies of your men to the birds and wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel! And everyone assembled here will know that the Lord rescues His people, but not with sword and spear. This is the Lord's battle, and He will give you to us!

It is because of the Lord that we are able to celebrate our Independence Day.
Victory comes from the Lord, and the Lord alone. He is almighty. He is all-powerful. We must praise Him and be thankful for this day, for we have been blessed with a country more fortunate than most others. For just as God gave victory to David over Goliath, so too will He give victory to those who seek and serve Him and His Almighty, Eternal Will! Amen.

Gospel of John 8:7

They kept demanding an answer, so He stood up again and said, "All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!"

Also written "let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

I John 1:7

But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, cleanses us from all sin.

Joel 2:28-29

"Then, after doing all those things, I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions. In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on servants--men and women alike."

Note: in the Hebrew text, Joel 2:28-29 is written as Joel 3:1-2.

1 Kings 18:27

About noontime Elijah began mocking them, "You'll have to shout louder," he scoffed, "for surely he is a god! Perhaps he is daydreaming, or is relieving himself. Or maybe he is away on a trip, or is asleep and needs to be wakened."

This text just shows how great God truly is. Unlike the other "gods" so many people cling to, our Lord is All-Powerful and Almighty. He hears our very thoughts and knows our very hearts.
