A little more than a year ago, the band Carbon Corpse first hit the music store shelves. So far, no sort of impression has been engraved in the world, or even in America, where the new band hails from. Carbon Corpse is made up of four members; a lead guitarist and singer (Royle Giorgino), a back-up guitar (Adian Pierre), a bass (Shoutaro Elwood), and drums (Taylor Sherman). A boy band like one this couldn’t have been pulled and kept together without the proper manager (Kaila Abrahamson), and even a behind-the-scenes man (Neil Pinkum). Radio stations are wary to put their (so far) few songs on the air, even though Carbon Corpse falls under the popular genre of ‘rock’. With more popular bands out there, why take a risk and try something new? The band is on the rise, though; with every live performance and new song their popularity increases. Will this first big road tour boost their ranks enough to hit the top of the charts? Or will faults and scandals along the way totally destroy the band that barely made it?

Royle GiorginoThe lead guitarist as well as the lead singer, Royle is considered to be the leader of the band by the fans though he rarely acts like it. He's Italian-American and his predecessors were involved with the mafia-- as his uncle still continues to do. He's has a laid back personality and rarely takes anything seriously, treating life like a huge joke. He grew up with the serious Shoutaro and has always possessed an experimental genius with the guitar. His intelligence outside of music is rather average, if that. At 6' 1" Royle is also the tallest member of the band. Aidan Pierre Son of a male fashion designer from France and an American mother, it's curious as to how he even came to become the back-up guitarist for Carbon Corpse. Having switched instruments often as a child, he was eventually forced to stick with the guitar by his mother. It was also his mother that led to Aidan meeting the manager, Kaila Abrahamson, and gaining interest in being a rock star. Aidan is a pretty boy with crooked tastes, being tainted gay from watching all the pretty boys walking down the catwalks as a child. This often is avoided by some of the other band members-- though Royle has been known to "play along" to a certain point. Aidan is known to use sympathy to his advantage, "crying" when he doesn't get his way and trying to sweet talk when that doesn't work. He always has his ferret, Stirling, nearby as well. Shoutaro ElwoodShoutaro was born into a family that loved acting more than anything, his mother being a famous Japanese actor that often starred in dramas and his father playing minor roles in movies in the Hollywood scene. It was perhaps his parents' constant bickering that disinterested the male into going into the acting field and helped to develop his serious, if not somewhat apathetic, personality. Though he could easily be a genius, he tries to maintain a feel of averageness around him. This is true as well with his musical talents. He proficiently plays the piano but in order to not be noticed he switched to the bass-- which he currently plays for Carbon Corpse. The chances of him having joined the band would have been slim if not for Royle, a childhood friend and one of the few that can sway Shou's decisions. Taylor Sherman A young man that was born to drum, Taylor Sherman is the drummer in Carbon Corpse. He had been drumming since his childhood and has an excessive amount of energy. He is unable to remain in one spot quietly for more than a couple of minutes until he has to move around or make noise. Taylor is perhaps the craziest member of the band and will take on almost any kind of dare just for the thrill. He lives life to the extreme and will take anything head, even if he knows that he doesn't like it. Kaila AbrahamsonThe manager of Carbon Corpse, Kaila is a rather laid back person on the outside. She has a history of law, having attended a law university before dropping out, and can be quite wily at times. She has gotten numerous people to do the things she wants them to many times using her wit. Despite her appearance, she is quickly approaching her 30's. Neil Pinkum Neil was and is a nobody to the world of celebrities. A few years ago, he was just some guy that worked at a local karaoke bar with aspirations of becoming a famous singer. Despite these aspirations, he kept his passion hidden from the world until Kaila and Carbon Corpse accidentally stumbled upon him in one of the unused rooms of the bar. It was Kaila that offered the poor boy a job with the band, which he translated as being a member of the band instead of "part of the band." He signed a contract with the manager hoping to reach his dreams, but was tricked into being a caretaker of four boys. Neil drives the tour bus (constantly making a fuss about keeping it tidy), helps lug the supplies from place to place, and cares for Stirling when Aidan can't (or is too lazy to). Due to the current pickle he's trapped in, Neil isn't too fond of any of the band members, including Kaila.

Normally, sitting backstage for a rock concert was a good thing. Backstage was where all the action went on, before and after the big show. While all the other fans were screaming out in front of the stage, Neil could sit behind the scenes and still enjoy the music, the bright lights, and the late hours of the ‘big apple’, New York City. He could be free to bob his head to the rapid beat of the music without bumping into more wild fans, or sweating among the crow. However, that wasn’t the case at all. The heavy rock of Carbon Corpse wasn’t Neil’s preferred style of music. He was stuck backstage, not by choice, but by the cruel force of having signed that contract almost year ago. That damned contract-- instead of signing him to sing in the band, it bound him to work for the band. Carry the instruments. Drive the tourbus with no rest stop. Make sure dinner was ready. Care for the spawn-of-the-Devil pet ferret. That kind of crap. Every. Single. Day. And it wasn’t only the too-loud music of being treated like a housewife (even though he was a he, and unmarried) that ticked off Neil, it was the band members, too. Each one of them had the exact opposite personality than the other, but none of those personalities agreed with Neil’s. While one of the boys were crying obviously—fake sissy tears, the other would be bouncing off the walls and making havoc. The third band member would shrug it off and ignore it all, and the last (who was the lead) would go and play along with all of them. Though each member was on different poles, they all had one common ground; using Neil like he was a towel. ’I guess I haveher to thank for that.’ the man scowled. Her. The band manager. She wasn’t much better than any of her band members, pushing him around just as easily. Hell, she was probably worse! That witch was the one who erased any normal life he could have had, any girlfriend or regular friends he could have made with one swift stroke of the pen. She had to be the one to trade in his father’s car for a coachbus, a pet fish for the four boys and whatever animals they could happen to want, customers who came and went for customers who were there until the band finally went its separate ways… The man sighed, taking his hand and pulling it though his red-brown hair. For a moment, Neil’s free hand relaxed off of the top of the crate he’d be carrying, and dropped it down next to him on the couch. He was backstage in the dressing room, and even here the music was loud as if he was on the front stage. If Neil could only relax, take his mind off of the road trip that they’d kicked off just today… Neil’s head tilted onto the back of the couch, but only for a moment. Something squeaked, then he felt that same something’s sharp teeth dig into his finger. Neil’s own teeth bit into his lower lip to keep him from screaming as he quickly yanked his hand away. They should have gotten a smaller crate for the stupid ferret, but Aidan had to insist that the ferret needed a small-dog-sized crate while he was out performing on stage! Of course, no matter how much Neil said it was pointless, his ******** employer had to side with Mr. Crocodile Tears. “Dammit, Stirling, I’m going to make you into a scarf for your gay-a** owner even if I do get fired for it!” he hissed at the animal. It hissed back at him through the cage, then to show as it if cared less, it turned its back on Neil and wrapped itself in its tail. Even the damned pet seemed like it felt like it could use him. Grumbling (and taking his hands safely away from the crate), Neil slouched further down onto the sofa. He’d gladly exchange the job so many people wanted, working with a rock band, to work in that old karaoke bar again… His life wasn’t contained and controlled back then. Tonight, Neil wouldn’t even be able to sleep in his own bed. For the next few weeks, Carbon Corpse would be on tour, and he’d be forced to drive their bus. So much for having a life.
Behind the stage’s curtain, the mood was completely different than out in the crowd, or back in the dressing room. High anxiety was mixed with excitement and tension were the feelings rushing through young Taylor’s blood, making him jump up and down rapidly. His long blond hair flew wildly along with his head, flashing the freshly dyed silver streaks. Taylor’s jumpsuit was unzipped down half-way, revealing half of his pale torso and his full bellybutton. Normally, the teen didn’t put so much effort and time into what he was wearing, but tonight was different. First of all, somebody else had done his clothes, hair, and makeup. Secondly, tonight was the night of their first concert! Taylor had never been to New York before, let alone New York City! And to think, they were here to perform the songs for thousands of people live! That was another first! The stage here would be a lot more than the stage at school, or any other stage he’d ever been on! With things like that coming up, Taylor couldn’t keep himself still. Adrenaline pulsed through his veins, making it almost impossible for him to stay in one place. Some people said they hated the feeling of adrenaline in their blood because it made them feel ‘nervous’, or ‘frightened’, or whatever… But he just couldn’t see why! That feeling, those butterflies in his stomach, that air in his head… it got Taylor so excited! The teenager’s hands whacked at an invisible set of drums, as he imagined what it would be like to play out on the stage. He was the drummer of Carbon Corpse, and the original member of the band. Just like some people didn’t like the feeling of adrenaline, others may have thought that drumming took no talent. They may have thought that if somebody couldn’t play any other instrument, then they drummed. Really, though, there was so much more to drumming than just that. Drumming was the spine to all music. Rock, rap, pop; they all needed a rhythm to be complete. That was Taylor’s job, and he’d been doing it for almost all of his life. “You guys ready?!” he yelped the question to the other three band members, not caring if they’d be able to hear him or not.
“Ready as ever.” Aidan smiled, catching his eyes with Taylor’s. He smiled a small grin at the other teenager, trying to show that that his words would ring true in just a few minutes. Their eyes only met for a split second before the wild Taylor snapped his head in the opposite direction. Aidan pouted to try and regain Taylor’s attention, the result coming out futilely. It wasn’t really like Taylor ever noticed any advancements he made on him… Once he dared him to kiss him, but that was over and done with as soon as Taylor proved that he wasn’t afraid to come lip-to-lip with somebody who preferred men. The lead singer of the band was different. No, he wasn’t gay either, but at least he played along for a little bit. Although Aidan cried for more, a little bit was better than none at all. He watched his fingers pick at the strings on the guitar, before glancing up at the other three members again. In Carbon Corpse, Aidan was back-up guitar. He’d been the last musician to join in the band, and shortly after his joining their band had finally got a kick of (thanks to the help of their manager). “You guys liking the big N.Y. so far?” he asked, adding onto Taylor’s question. He’d grown up in the city, actually, not so far away from where they were right now. “Too bad we can’t spend more time here... Maybe I can talk to Kaila about that.”

"Would you two stop acting like idiots?" Shou spoke placidly, his dark blue eyes watching both band mates. He felt as though he was the only one who could keep calm in such an atmosphere-- and considering his band mates, he was likely to be right. Unlike the other two boys, the Japanese-American boy was sitting on one of the large crates that were filled with props and equipment, making last minute adjustments to the electric bass in his hands. "It's already loud enough with the crowd out there without you two making noise..." the male continued. Both instances in which he had spoken, Shoutaro had not bothered to shout above the crowd outside and expected the other two to hear him despite all the noise. On top of that, he hadn't even considered answering the questions that either of the two posed. Unlike all the other boys in Carbon Corpse, Shou didn't seem to be interested in the activities or happenings or the band. The boy probably would have never joined in the first place had it not been for the band's current lead-- who had grown up with Shou during the times the boy was actually in the United States with his father. Given his own choice, he would have likely stayed as normal as possible-- not using his genius to his advantage, not joining some rock band, and certainly not taking up acting (as both of his parents had.) "You guys! Have you seen Royle?!" Kaila spoke, trying to shout above the crowd as she hurried over to the three boys. The manager of the band appeared somewhat stressed, not knowing where the lead singer of Carbon Corpse had run off to. "I already checked the the bus and he wasn't in there!" It was the last place that Kaila recalled seeing the final member, but when she had returned to get him, the male had seemingly disappeared from his place in the bus. Had she not been looking for the last and probably most vital member five minutes to curtain, she would have been directing the other boys and telling them what they needed to be doing-- maybe even giving a very small pep talk. However that was not the case. Kaila Abrahamson was quite a bit older than the boys and was as tricky as many of the politicians that led the country. Before she had decided to become a manager, the young woman had been going for a law degree and, though she was good at what she did, she became bored with the concept and dropped out. The woman had been able to pull the four boys together, along with a servant boy, but it was more of a freak accident to her than anything else. Royle, despite the manager's desperate running around, was not too far from the stage though he was on the opposite side of the stage than his band mates, which was just a mistake on his part. The male let out a large yawn, having woken up only about ten minutes prior, and fluffed the back of his hair with his hand quickly as though it would stave off the newly awoken feeling. The sound of the crowd chattering and the opening band's music playing was something different than when they had played at smaller lives or as an opening band themselves. He could feel electricity running up and down his spine and there was a sort of nervousness that seemed to have settled in the area of his elbows. Though they were supposed to be on stage right after the opening band, it was likely that it would take another five minutes after getting onto stage to set up before they would get a chance to truly start. "Where are... AAaahhh... Where is everybody..." the male spoke to himself. Thinking to himself, he chuckled to himself. He was almost 100% sure that Shou was being somewhat a**l to the other band members, but he knew that his friend was likely having as much fun as the other boys. It was just a lot harder to judge what Shou was feeling or thinking since he often didn't like to show the emotions that he had. Though Royle didn't know too much about it, he knew that Shou's parents didn't get along with each other and as a small child, the boy had tried to get sympathy. It was shortly after that event that Shou started being dropped off at Royle's house and Royle was able to witness his odd transformation over time. Still, he felt as though the other male was just as vital to the group as the other two-- even if he didn't know the other two as well.

"Seen him? What? No. Want me to go look?" Taylor had stopped his hopping up and down in place to speak. His words were fast, though, proving that his energy still had much more to burn off before he was through with the night. "I'll go look for him! He could be in the dressing room or in the place in the bus where all the stuff is kept, or in some dark alleyway!" the options for where Royle could have gotten to went on and on... Royle had to be somewhere, right? Neil always threatened to stuff one of them under the bus with the supplies when he got ticked off. As far as the alleyway option went... Taylor wanted to stay in New York longer like Aidan suggested. Everything here was so big, so new, so bright! The teenager was attracted to all the big things like a moth to a street lamp... and all the smaller 'attractions' like a hungry fox to a chicken coop. Hadn't somebody mentioned once that he could get that feeling of adrenaline more than when he was just excited! But that guy, the one who'd offered that, was probably long gone by now. He'd been the guy in the alley, and before Taylor could say anything in return, the other boys had reminded him that they needed to hurry and then pushed him along. Taylor hadn't even gotten the name of the man in the big coat, or the name of the street he was on, or the two buildings he was between! Maybe that man had met up with Royle. No-- Taylor remembered he was the only one who got sidetracked a few hours ago.
"Does this mean we're gonna be late?" Aidan exhaled as he cast his eyes away to the side. That sucked. A lot. This was their first gig, and they were going to be late! "Can't we just go on without him?" Although his question was directed at the manager of the band, his eyes still hadn't found their way up to her. To add another affect to his act, Aidan drooped his shoulders down. Stirling wasn't around his neck like a scarf, making his shoulders feel so much lighter already. He'd need his full arms to play the guitar properly; a ferret lounging on them would slow him down and make him mess up. "He's only the lead singer and guitarist, you know... and this is our first concert and everything! My parents could be out there, waiting for me to come out on stage, and we're going to be late if he doesn't get his a** over here!" Aidan's fingers tapped boredly on the guitar's neck for a few seconds, expecting a reply from Kaila concerning the issue.

"No! Taylor you're staying right here!" the woman spoke somewhat sternly. She knew the consequences of letting Taylor ran rampant looking for Royle. It was more likely that the boy would forget about his task and go run off somewhere else, and that would result in two missing members instead of just one-- which would be even worse than the current situation. "Aiden, sweetie, we're going to try to find Royle before the show starts but I need the cooperation of all the people here," the woman spoke after a moment. Aiden's pouting often got the woman to react a bit differently than the other band members, but that was likely because she was extremely weak to the "suffering" of other people. "Don't worry about it, Manager," Shoutaro started, "That idiot is bound to be around here somewhere. I don't see him running around just before the show starts. Just go on with it. If he's not on stage then we'll just use the song with the longest opening, Aiden can play as lead during that time if we need him to. He doesn't do much anyway... And you'll have that much time to find him...""H-How Irresponsible! Shou! How can you even suggest that?!" the woman spoke, looking at the male as though he was crazy. They couldn't possibly start the show without their lead singer! On top of all of that, there was no chance that Aiden could play Royle's part... could he?

"Why can't I go? If I look for him, it'll be faster! I'm faster than you!" Taylor argued like any other teenager would do to their parent. "I can find him, and then we can all go onstage-" he'd began trying to prove his point, but it was so obvious that Shou's idea overruled his own. He'd try to open his mouth to speak more with no avail. What if... what if they sent Neil? It wasn't like that guy was actually doing anything, besides looking after Aidan's stupid pet! Unable to contain himself any longer, Taylor piped up "You think Neil knows where Royle got off to?" he poked Kaila on the shoulder, hoping she'd turn around and talk to him.
"It doesn't matter if Neil knows or not, or if Royle's half-way to London... I can play! Don't you think that I have enough skill?" the young man's hands fell off of his guitar to hang by his sides. The guitar, thankfully, was hanging by its straps around Aidan's shoulder, preventing it from crashing to the ground. "I can play, Kaila~ You can trust me, right?"
((Ew, kind of short Xp ))

"Of course I believe you can--" or not "-- but I would prefer that we have the whole band together before we start," the woman spoke, trying to keep the boy calm. She didn't want him to start crying. "And Taylor, don't think I don't know that you'd end up getting lost yourself... Although... Yes, Neil will do," the woman seemed to nod herself as she spoke, "Alright then, I'll go grab him and make him look with me. You all just stay put." Before the guys could answer-- mainly because she was in such a rush-- the woman quickly turned around to go grab Neil. If habit was any indicator, she would know exactly where the man was, and with only about three minutes left till curtain, he had better be where she thought he was. "She's such a busy body..." Shou had spoke as though it didn't concern him at all-- which it didn't-- but his eyes seemed to follow after her until she disappeared completely before looking back over towards Taylor and Aiden. Hopefully the two would be able to pick up on small signals if Royle couldn't make it on time. Depending on the song they were going to sing, it seemed as though-- if Royle didn't show up-- they would have to switch the vocalist as well. It wasn't as though Shou thought that Royle wouldn't show up but it wouldn't hurt to try to prepare for the worst as well...

Aidan held his pout until Kaila was gone; as soon as the woman was out of sight, it lifted as if he hadn't been 'sad' in the first place. Aidan hadn't been concerned at all with Royle missing! Looking sad was the method that the teenager found could get him more things more easily. It worked for him when he was a cute kid, and it still worked today. "She gets stuff done for us... Most of the time..." Before he could stop himself, the lip quiver was back again. Even though (from past experiences) he knew his tactics were futile on Shou, by force of habit they were brought up again. "If Kaila doesn't bring up Royle, though... we're going on no matter what."
"Aw, alrighty!" Taylor would have liked to run along after their manager to look for Royle as well. She'd told him to stay put for the moment- 'Go run, Taylor! It's not like she's your mom or anything! You're faster than Nail and Kaila, and it's gonna take longer for her to find him and then Royle! You can run, you can go... Don't give this chance up!' His eyes flickered back to the two other boys, then back in the direction that Kaila ran off in. His drum sticks tapped the air, stuck in the moment of decision. "I'm... I'm gonna go look for him." he said, making the choice to go against Kaila's words. "I'm gonna find Royle before she does." He stuck the two sticks in his pocket, and began a hop-skip on his way deeper backstage. "Okay, guys? I'll be back when I find Royle! Right back!"

"Wait... Don't go..." Shou called after Tyler though he sounded quite unenthusiastic about it and didn't even try to go after him even a little. They had three minutes to curtain and now they were missing half of the band instead of only a quarter. On top of that, it was the drummer that had left them. Sure, Shou and Aiden could probably play without the beat of the drum, but it would take away from the music quite a bit on stage. Would it even be wise to go on stage anymore? They could announce technical delays or let the opening band play another song... The male let a rough sigh out in an attempt to relieve some of the stress but it was hard for the situation to lessen until either of the two missing boys came back. He had seemingly forgotten of Aiden for those few minutes-- though he was trying to think of a good answer for the other. "Stop your pouting... It's not going to solve your problem," he finally spoke, deciding to wait till the last minute before he would do anything. Kaila kept a rather light jogging pace to get around. She wanted to run around, but that would be improper and the likelihood of slipping or breaking something would be too high for her liking. Nevertheless, the manager had made it to the dressing rooms and found the one that Neil had decided to reside within. One would not have thought that she had been running around like she had her head cut off as she entered the room. She had forcefully steadied her breath and her hair had been patted down to a certain extent to make sure it was not unkempt. "Neil!" she started, looking at the younger male-- who was glaring at... Stirling's cage, "...What are you-- No, nevermind! You need to help me find Royle! He's gone missing! We only have a few minutes to find him before the show starts!"

If the loud sound that the door made when it pushed open wasn't enough to catch Neil's attention, having his manager standing in the door frame certainly was. She didn't look suspicious of anything... But it was suspicious enough that she was back here. Why wasn't their manager directly behind the curtain, in case anything went wrong? The answer was blurted out before Neil even had the chance to ask. Royle... gone missing? On many occasions this would have been something good. If Royle had gone missing after the show and Neil got to drive across the country, that would have been fine with him. If Royle had gone missing before the show and they had to cancel the whole thing altogether that would have also been perfectly swell. During the show, though? This would just lag it on longer and longer while upsetting the audience in the meantime. How angry would a bunch of New Yorkers get? They spent a good amount of money on the tickets to not get what they paid for... Anybody would be officially pissed-off at that. "It bit me! It's evil! Just like it's owner" Neil pointed at the cage and tattled like he was back in first grade again. He lifted it off of the couch and placed the crate on the floor, where the man pushed it farther away with his toe. Frowning, the man stood. "I'll help." That was his job, wasn't it? In all honesty, Neil rather sit down on the couch and fight with the rodent all day rather then look for one of the band members... But this was what he was paid to do. "Where'd you last see him? I remember him getting off of the bus!"
Taylor had barely heard Shou, and the little bit of his voice that he had noted he paid too little attention to. 'Where should I check first' the young man thought, never slowing down to make his thinking process more easy. Royle could be back on the bus, or on the other side of the stage-- or out in the big apple. Somewhere out there, where there were parks and shops and streets and everything Taylor wanted to go see. "I'll check those three in that order!" he concluded with a simple nod. He tried to pick up his pace to go faster, but that attempt ended futilely. Without realizing it, Taylor had pushed himself up from his skip-jog to a full out run.
Well, Taylor was long gone. That made the two of them- Aidan, and Shou. Aidan's pout didn't snap away like Shou had told him to do. Instead, the boy questioned him back. "Then what is going to solve our problem, Shou? Everybody else is gone." Aidan's fingers tapped impaciently((sp?)) on his hip as he spoke. Were one of them next? The half-French-half-American boy knew that he wasn't going to go waste his breath searching after the two others... But what about Shou? "Are we still going to go on stage? We could do a little guitar-bass solo thing..."

"Why don't you just go do whatever you do and I go do what I do?" the male shot, irritation quickly starting to rise in his voice. Talking was one thing and asking was another, but people who demanded things from the Japanese-American were not going to meet with a happy response. It seemed to be one of the few things that easily made Shoutaro respond, though it was hardly a response anybody would want. Even had Royle been the one to demand something from the half-asian male, teeth and claws would be bared. "And it's not my problem," the male added, "It's your problem. I could care less about what happens here..." "The last I saw him was on the bus! He was sleeping and I didn't want to wake him," the woman started, smiling to herself a bit. The boys were adorable when they were sleeping. Whether Aidan's ferret was causing trouble or not for Neil was really none of her problem and she frankly didn't care too much of what the man had been doing. "Anyway! Go look for him! We have less than two minutes curtain time!" Kaila seemed to have come back to her own world after glancing at a clock on the wall. They had barely any time to go find Royle and she didn't even know about Taylor leaving the other two boys!
