On "summoning" a faery (or any other nature spirit for that matter)...

I find it easiest to stand or sit quiet in the middle of the woods, relax and listen to the songs that the forest sings around you, from there interpret what the energy around you feels like. If you have an easily portable instrument such as a drum or can sing, then feel free to do so. Nature spirits are attracted to the sound of calming music. The fae folk have given me many visions this way, and are very willing to tell you their stories or give you guidance and assistance.

Be wary though, the fae aren't all as nice as what I've encountered and you may come across a few nasties.

If I remember correctly, I don't think viewers can see posts within a group if they're not a member. It's been a while since I've tried to view a group without being a member, so I really can't recall.

Also, some people on Menewsha don't have accounts on here, for reasons varied, so whenever I make a post regarding magical workings you can bet it will turn up over on Mene as well. ^_^

Oh! I'd like to add something that seems to fit here ^_^

I've always had an affinity towards stumps, even though I am saddened by the loss of the tree. I have found that they are wells of the most wonderful energy.
I stand upon the stump, closing my eyes and taking a deep breath. I imagine myself as the tree, and the stump is my roots digging deep into the earth. I reach up and gather white or golden light, and with a breath out I send it into the stump (what the tree used to do) and then with my breath in I draw my hands up seeing tendrils of green light come into my body.
Basically I'm being a tree... helping the root help the earth, which in turn helps me.
Along with this I say something, but I'll keep that a secret... what's a witch without her secrets? wink
