Nairn's asked me to just change the volunteer thread to this one. He's grumpier than usual, so I'm not gonna argue with him.
Just post here if you're definately going to be around for the event. It starts at 4pm Central (give or take) on October 8th (Saturday) and will run for a week. Don't worry if you don't think you can do the whole event. I will be making two teams of equal people (size depending on how many sign-up) and will switch people out as needed. This means if your in one of the groups at the start, but have to leave for an indefinate amout of time (I'm talking over an hour here), say so and the next person on the list will take your spot on the team. I'll shuffle people through this way. There will be breaks for sleeping, but those breaks will be on my schedule. Hopefully, this will allow everyone who wants to participate to get a chance.
Now, there will be prizes given out randomly during the event (only I will hand out prizes) and for the team that does the best, they will be awarded a cash prize to be split between them (sorry, this will only include whomever is in the team at the end of the event). Volunteers will get prizes as well, but they'll also be cycled through the roster. Non-owners can also sign up to be volunteers for the event and will be elligible for prizes.
The event is meant to be a story which I and the volunteers will take you through involving a rescue from a haunted house belonging to a mad scientist. During the event, the teams will be sent in through the two different entrances (one for the front door and one for the back door). Teams will be allowed to RP (with themselves and their Beats) exploring the house for clues and, ultimately, the Beat. The event will take place over two threads. The event will pretty much be the same thing, the difference will be which door you enter (and that will be what thread you're in). Volunteers will mainly be there to help keep the RP on track, make sure everyone plays nice, and to help with questions.
I urge anyone that wants to participate to keep in mind there will be 3 floors of the house to explore. I will provide maps of the floors, but try to remember that the maps are OOC information. That means that...even though you can see what the floorplan is, your IC self and Beat can not. I really do want you to explore all over the house, as that's the best way to try and "find" prizes. The maps are merely so you don't get lost.
So, what I need is for you to post that you'll be here and let me know if you'll be a volunteer or a participant. Please only post once (meaning no conversations) so I can make an accurate list of everyone that will be here.

Depending on how my university classes fall i should be able to help out. I don't mind on being a volunteer or a participant. Remember i'm the indescisive one xp
If it helps i'll be able to do what you call the later hours because of time difference. It means when you people are naturally tired and want to sleep. ((2am your time.)) I'll be probably just getting up to go to university and can check up and possibly be on for quite sometime pending on university classes. this is just a suggestion as the time difference also means i cannot do what you would call late night as it would be about 4am in my time and my university course comes before beats. sweatdrop
So yeah i'll help just tell me what you want me to do and i'll try my best not to mess up.

I'll be here, but not on the first day. I get married the 4th, my pictures are the 6th, reception is the 8th and Brian has surgery the 10th... but I'll be here around all that.

heart I would give a definite yes, no, volunteer or participant answer, but having dial up and parents like mine can complicate things. I don't wanna commit to something I may not be able to fulfill redface
