Their are three types of magic in this world.

Sorcery: This is the rarest and most powerful form. it is strictly outlawed throughout the world. Sorcery usually calls upon the spirits of the dead to do their will. Necromancy is a type zombies, skelitons without a mind completly controlled by sorceror. Also rasing golems or other such creatures also within power of sorceror

Conjury: through Sigels and shapes the caster can call upon powers. from a gout of flame from the ground to mantic sight to familiars.

Artifacing: Using conjury to make certain objects magical. through this one can make a ring that makes one invisible to most senses beyond the normal five. or make a sword that pains an undead, or an amulet that glows when an undead is near. or an orb that flashes light to momentarily blind an opponent.

Those that master all three of these are called Wizards, only two are called magi, and only one is called a mage.
